Eyeglasses.com was an absolutely terrible business to deal with. Waited a month and a half before attempting to ask where my order was, was told it would be a week and they'd upgrade me to faster shipping for the problem. Waited two weeks, nothing. Called again, was told it'd be a week, and they'd upgrade me to faster shipping for the problem--deja vu all over again. Now, two and a half months after ordering, I finally cancelled the order for good. We'll see if the refund goes through. Pro tip: They will never, ever respond to an email. Calling is your only hope for getting through, and they don't always make calling easy. read more

NO COMMUNICATION! DON'T ORDER FROM THEM! I have ordered from this place two times before (2022 and 2024) for replacement lenses (where I send my frames in with the new prescription and they replace them). I need new lenses again and I wanted to talk to someone regarding some questions I have about certain add on options. For WEEKS now, no matter what I do, no matter how many times I call or email them, NO ONE ANSWERS (you have to leave a message) OR CALLS YOU BACK. The same with email, you get a email saying they received your inquiry and no one EVER emails you back. Chat is useless to, no one ever answers that either. I don't know what happened since january 2024 but I wouldn't order from them. There is no way in heck I'd send them my glasses now when they wont make any attempts at answering simple questions. read more

Lisa and her team did an amazing job helping me get my sons glasses fixed. I highly recommend them. Thank you so much

Read this well, any company that operates in this manner, is not putting their customers first. I almost gave them 2 stars for the Dolomiti eyeglasses, but this is not an eyeglsss review. They get zero for shipping my $450 eyeglasses to Italy using a $20 subpar 3rd party shipping company (global post), that itself only has 10k 1.2 stars, AFTER after they charging me $70 for USPS priority express. Even so, the small flatrate box (which they shipped my exact previous pair in stateside), is only $50.55, but I could have dealt with. However, besides offering horrible service, the reason Global Post only charges the shipper $20, is because they gouge their customer on the other end with fees, lol. Eyeglasses did not not even have the courtesy, for $70, to upgrade from GP standard ship, it is right on the tracking number, that I uploaded to this review. This would not be so bad, had I not specifically stated when placing the order, that I did not want a private courier due to the excessive VAT fees they charge, almost or as much as the actual VAT. The eyeglasses customer service rep attempted to gaslight me by stating , oh but this company works with usps. Except the tracking number they sent me is global post, and it was picked up by global post, where it sits in a warehouse for probabably weeks, THEN it off to usps, then global post receives it to process the VAT/fees and then off to Poste Italia, who will force me to pay them a global post processing fee +VAT to oick up my package. The rep tried to blame tariff issues for changing the shipping means, except this package is leaving the US, to a country that has had VATs forever, not coming. Zero excuse. The rep finally agrees (after offering 1/2 ship refund), to refund the difference out of courtesy. No, you are refunding me because your company over triple charged me for a service they did not provide, and using a service I speciffically indicated I did not want. Then she said not to worry, they will ship a new pair if it gets lost, lol no worries, 6 month wait. No, if it gets lost I am initiating a Chase chargeback. So, according to Global post reviews, I may or may not recieve my eyeglasses for at least 2 months, verses a direct USPS small international priority flatrate, which I paid for, and only takes 6-10 business days. Any company that uses GP must be aware that they have a tendency, with 4 package transfers, to lose packages. They are also aware that it sticks their customers with fees, because GP literally brags about keeping costs down on their website geared to drum up ecommerce business. So, what exactly was the other 50 I gave eyeglasses for usps priority anyway, other than my giving them money for a nothing but a headache? Well, not like eyeglasses are important to ship quickly and safely anyway, right? read more

Eyeglasses - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Westport, Connecticut

This store is great! I have used their website and spoken with their GREAT, knowledgeable customer service team and I have been in store and seen their physical collection and gotten advice and adjustments from their opticions. Overall they have a great selection and reached out to me when the manufacturer put my frames on backorder after saying they were in stock. They sell their authorized frames at such a low price, this place is great. I recommend eyeglasses.com to everyone I know! read more

This review is for eyeglasses.com I was a repeat customer to this website having had lenses made. The lenses were fine. I decided to send in my mother's glasses this time. Shockingly bad treatment of a repeat customer. Their website malfunctioned making it impossible to access and print the shipping label. The company suggested that the problem was on my end (inability to make proper use of their website). I was promised an email with the label by the next day but that the representative couldn't do anything the day I ordered the lenses. This label did not arrive the next day. Why was I concerned? These are my mother's glasses and I'd already been set back by some false starts with insurance plus I was anxious to ship before the 4th of July. Having not received the label the next day, I called again, spoke with another agent, who said there had been a glitch on their end and promptly sent me the shipping label. Somehow she could do it whereas this courtesy was impossible the previous day. I was again told that I should be grateful for free shipping and that this is a small business etc. etc. When I asked for compensation for the difficulty and the wait, they took 10% off the total. Ok, 10% was something - about $11 - but not much on top of condescension. I printed the label and went off to UPS. On the way, the company called me to say that since I had had so much trouble with their website, they were doing me a favor and cancelling my order. Again, all this is my fault apparently. If I had shipped it, they said, they would have sent the glasses back without providing lenses. Astonished at this treatment. I see now that the Better Business Bureau rating for this company is an F owing to multiple complaints and non-response by the company. There are so many other online lens makers - why use this one? read more

The lenses were made incorrectly. Unlike other online Rx eyeglass stores, this company does not offer a full refund on glasses and leases that are defective, even though they say they do. They only offer 50%refund and 50% store credit. They also say they offer pre-paid return label, but they don't. The glasses I received were cheaply made, the lenses rattled in the frames and felt like cheap plastic and were made incorrectly. Never will I shop here again. Buyer, beware! read more

AVOID the store of eyeglass.com IN WESTPORT, CT. Nightmare experience!!! * they Damaged my expensive frames ($560) *and put Wrong prescription lenses (changed it later but still I see blurry). * Poor customer service from Melissa (lab head) * No apology, NO compensation, or accountability. I Love this Store! Lisa is the best Optician that I know she always gets my many many glasses that I've gotten here and I was when they moved because I had a different email and I didn't get contacted, but I found them again and I'm very happy and their new space is absolutely lovely and there's parking now right there Though, I still use my ophthalmologist cost out-of-pocket for glasses is half the price! Highly recommend this business! read more

NO STARS IS MY OPTION This company never refunded my $470 dollars I never received anything from them...no glasses... nothing. Just a $470 bill. I reported them to the Better Businee Bureau and they never responded. Right there you can see that they have terrible customer service. Check the BBB they are not on the nice list. They were beyond rude. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

I ordered glasses and after a week, I was informed by the lab that they could not make my order. I wanted prescription sunglasses but they could not make them with the lens that I ordered, nor could they add the mirror tent to them. That was the whole purpose of my order. I paid this company almost $1000. When they could not make my order, I cancelled the order. Here we are a week later and they will not refund my money. I've had to file a dispute with my credit card company. I've called and emailed customer service every single day and they will not refund me despite the lenses never being made. DO NOT order from this company. They are frauds and I will get a lawyer involved if AMEX is not able to rectify the issue. read more

These people are extremely slow These people are extremely slow. I ordered my glasses 8/25. I checked in for an update on 8/30 to see if they have started on processing. I was told they have to wait until next week and then they will get started on my lens. So basically theboption to rush is BS. They don't keep you in the loop at all and pretty sure it is going to be a good month before i get my glasses. Date of experience: August 30, 2023 read more

Nineteen days after accepting my order and 17 days after posting to my credit card I contacted Eyeglasses.com asking what was up with my order. They responded with "we just found out your frames are discontinued". Really, they JUST found out. Not cool. read more

after receiving and taking home, my new glasses that were specially ordered with progressive and transitional lenses, I found they were not fitting properly. I brought them back today and Scott at Jefferson Valley Mall was helping me try to figure out what the problem is. I was convinced I needed new glasses because these were so uncomfortable, but he kept trying to change things about that to see if he could make them more comfortable for me. What he ended up doing after quite some time was he put some sort of a nose bridge across the top of the glasses which surprisingly fixed the problem . I took the glasses back home with me as Scott suggested, just to be sure that it would work out before I selected another pair. I was quite impressed that the problem seems to have been solved because of Scots, ingenuity and efforts. I'm hoping that this all works out for me but, in any case, I am so happy with the customer service at the store. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My order has "been processing" for over a month. Three times they have told me they will ship out next week. Read the other reviews and you won't waste your money here - they are terrible to work with and just hold on to your money. Read the guarantee carefully, if you aren't pleased with your lenses they only give you a partial refund. read more

Ordered glasses and lenses from eyeglasses.com (the company is also called Tryiton Eyewear, LLC). Received an email that made it obvious either the lab didn't know what they were doing or the order wasn't properly submitted by eyeglasses.com. I called the company, and Stephanie in customer service was rude. I cancelled the orders and asked for a refund. Then I got an email from Stephanie the orders were cancelled with a refund, and she wrote "we decline to process any future orders". A customer service rep banning a customer from the store? So if you cancel an order you get banned from purchases? What a terrible store. read more

I got my eyeglasses, and could not see a thing out of them. I sent them back over a week ago, and am still waiting for an answer to what they did. I am not a happy customer right now. I see the charge went through, I hope they correct my glasses and send me a corrected pair, and not rip me off. read more

This is my second purchase from Eyeglasses.com. I had a question about whether a feature I had paid for had been done. After waiting for a week for a response to my e-mail question I called Customer Service. Per the pictures I took and sent, I still do not believe the extra service I paid for had been done. The Customer Service agent I spoke to said it had. She clearly did not want to speak with me and said I would eventually get a reply to my e-mail. The person was rude and condescending. I will not buy from this company again! read more

Not happy with the fact that the lenses clouded over 2 mo after the 2 year 'guarantee' expired. Never had lenses do this in past and I have been wearing glasses for many years. I was told this was a manufacturing defect and eyeglasses .com cannot be responsible for this. Really? Who exactly should I be dealing with? I was told I can replace lenses. Replacement for the lens itself is $450. More than the original lenses cost. When I thought about it, why should I run the risk of another defective pair of glasses that the company I purchased these from will not stand behind their product. That is why I will not be back to eyeglasses.com. I gave them a star as the original purchase fit well and the frame itself has held up read more

Have you experienced a time where the service was so bad that you can't believe that any business would operate that way? This is one of those. Long delays with no communication as to what the hold up is. MELISSA, the one who claims to be the highest in the company you can speak to, was one of the worst customer service experience I've had. That's saying a lot. She was rude, condescending, threatened multiple times to cancel my order if I didn't stop asking questions. Complained that she had to pull all her costumer service reps off the phone because of terrible people like me who complain. This was an online order and this happened about a month after I sent them in. My glasses were never completed so I canceled anyways. Everything about this company is bad. If the higher ups in the company let's someone like Melissa do what she does, they must not care either... and it shows. Definitely go somewhere else if you want your glasses completed in a reasonable time and to not get yelled at for asking questions about the delay. read more

Horrible customer service, false advertising. Finally canceled my order three weeks after it was placed.

I love this service! I purchased two pairs of glasses from them: one pair with a frame from their selection and one made with my frame, which I sent in and they replaced the lenses. Both pairs came to me within a month - even though I ordered during the holidays and COVID! - and they look great and fit perfectly. I have an expensive prescription but at eyeglasses.com I got TWO pairs of progressive lenses for what I would pay for one at a regular store. The customer service was very helpful - I was able to email back and forth with someone until all my questions were answered. They even added a coupon I forgot to include and refunded me the $50 discount! I was skeptical about purchasing glasses online but now I'm hooked. read more

Well it looks like they advertise on Yelp and are able to pull down reviews on request. Anyway, I'll provide my experience with this store: I have shopped at this store 3 times in the past 5 years. They've often had excuses as if the lens came from another Country, quality control was a real issue with them. I ordered new lenses for my 8 year old and for months, MONTHS, they gave me the runaround. And it that wasn't enough they provided fake UPS tracking numbers and when I told them I'd file a complain with the Connecticut State Board they magically overnighted the lenses. The quality is mediocre and there were scratches, I emailed and called. 2 months later and still no reply. I purchased their "warranty". Today I called and I was told that I'm not welcome anymore at their store and they won't allow me to place orders in the future. It's May, I paid in January, 5 months later I'm still dealing with this issue. I've had enough. To anyone that had a problem with them, PLEASE file a formal complain with the board in Connecticut. It's just horrible that they would do something like this to a child. read more

My experience with eyeglasses.com has been a mixed affair. First off, I purchased a nice pair of Serengeti glasses, but I found on another site that the frame was small. I changed the order the next day but received no confirmation that anything would change. I contacted them again via email shortly thereafter, but again no response. I tried the "Chat" feature but found that there was no one with whom to chat. I then tried calling, as I was really getting worried that there would be no change.....no one answered. I think I left a message, but after so many failed attempts at trying to contact them, I gave up. Sure enough, when the order arrived, it was the frame that I had tried to change. The frame was legit and the lenses looked great for a fairly complex prescription. I went through the email/chat/phone again to then try to "exchange" the frame. Again, no response from any of the 3 forms of communication. Finally, I tried the phone one more time on a different day and SOMEONE ANSWERED!!! I was so surprised that I wasn't even sure what to say. The woman (Stephanie I believe was her name) said that the exchange had been started (?) but that the frame I wanted was being looked into for availability. As of this review, the jury is still out on whether my exchange will indeed happen. Overall, I would say that their ability to make prescription lenses is excellent, but their customer service and communication are very unreliable. read more

I went to the Westport CT. location to have new lenses put in my new frames that I purchased on Amazon. From the moment I entered the store everyone there was stellar! Every step of the lens buying process was explained without the hype or sales pressure to buy extras.I received my new glasses and everything is great. I want to thank Chris, Sue, and Lisa for going out of their way to make sure everything was perfect with my new glasses. Prompt service. Did not charge my card until I received my order. Replacement lenses look very good.

I was at a loss when I found out my eye glass frames were no longer offered by my optometrist til I found my favorite style with you. My frames are a simple lightweight wire in a pretty purple color. The frames were shipped in a very study box and well cushioned. Thank you so much. read more

I sent numerous emails but never answered-also no customer service. Glasses were fine BUT you are totally on your own.

I ordered three pairs of frames, received an email confirmation, and then... radio silence. After a couple of weeks I sent an email, and after a couple more days I called and it went straight to voicemail. But then a couple of days after that I received a shipping notice out of the blue. My frames arrived 3-4 weeks after the purchase. I decided the frames weren't right and to return them, and was skeptical of getting a refund without a fuss, but eyeglasses.com processed the return online and gave me a pre-paid UPS label, and within a week I had my refund. I get why there are 1-star reviews below, and the company's communications are terrible. Although my experience was that they supplied three hard-to-find frames in a reasonable time at a reasonable price, and processed my return promptly and easily. read more

The first set of glasses were not the executive bifocals that I ordered. I called the phone number and sent them back per the instructions. I just got them back and they are correct but I did not get e-mail updates like I thought I should and they took over 2 weeks to get them back. read more

They had the frames I was replacing and were able to get them to me within 2 weeks. I want to say a week but I am a bit uncertain how long the transaction took. I did not purchase a prescription-only the frames and it took about a week so be mindful that even if you pick overnight shipping, it probably won't be as soon as you hope. However, they do inform you that there is a processing time frame so I wasn't expecting next day delivery. All my expectations were met and I was able to replace a broken from for about half the cost of the original frame and the website layout is easy and extremely fast. Pretty sure I spent more time typing in my payment information than I did actually browsing the site. read more

Don't order from here if you need it within the promised time frame. Order was promised to arrive in 10-15 days but ultimately took 5 weeks, but they did bill my credit card immediately after the order. They had my money for 5 weeks before I got the product. Repeated contacts with customer service were promptly and politely replied to with promises that were never kept. Shipping tracking system is horrible. Even now that my order has arrived their tracking shows it as not yet in transit. read more

So, other than the fact that there was only one size fit's all, (the width is slightly too short across my face) certainly the price was right. I ordered two frames to try out first before ordering new lenses. They shipped the two frame choices quickly, well-packaged, and exactly as they were listed on the site. So far, it's been a good experience for me. read more
