I would not recommend using eyeglass world because I received an invoice long after I my glasses and they told me in store I was paid in full. Then I received an invoice for $127.50.. so it puzzles me when you say you are paid in full receive an invoice. Terrible customer service. I went to the Kissimmee store and literally associates fighting over commission. The enthusiasm and smiles are visibly fake . I hope they get people who genuinely care. That is a reflection on how well they take care of their staff. I as put on hold for more than 16 minutes and nobody comes back at least to say we're still there . My son lost his glasses in the ocean at Cocoa Beach and needed new ones asap. Someone on the Cocoa beach board on Facebook recommended Eyeglass World. I called and after a few calls they were able to help me order glasses over text and the phone. I got his previous glasses measurements, found frames, Maria found them in the store. I sent his Rx and PD. This was all around noon and without us going in person (I was in the hospital with our daughter and son was with Dad and brother at Legoland). Both pairs were ready by 5:15 PM! I'm giving two start because my husband and I order our contacts two weeks already. I never got a call that mine ware there. However, if I wouldn't not call we would have never know that my husband order came incomplete. I stated this preset was put in two weeks ago and the lady just told me that we could always give a try out to your husband for that one eye till the other box comes in or call Monday to talk to the manager and so she could check where the box is. I went into the store today ... Yes I have a tricky prescription and I know it will cost more then 78 bucks for 2 pairs.... But 584 dollars is a joke that's more then 7 times the advertised price I asked what if I just get one pair? she said it will be the same price because its 2 pairs for the price of one. As I was about to walk out she told me told me if I am a member or AARP she will charge me 380 for one pair. My husband broke his glasses and went back to Eyeglass World to got them fixed because he had bought the insurance on them. Unfortunately they could not be repaired and this outlet did not have the same frames in stock. Tim called 3 stores to find one that had the frame. He also noticed that there was an error on one of the lenses so he ordered the replacement lenses also. He spent about 45 minutes with us to make sure things were done right. I am so upset with this location. First. I went to get an eye checkup. Dr misdiagnosed my prescription. I couldn't see after I got the glasses. I went back and they had to redo the test. The machine was broken. They had to hand write the new prescription after 45 minutes trying to fix machine. I had to wait a week to get new lenses. When I went back to pick up the new lenses, they couldn't find my glasses. I needed a new pair of lenses because mine were scratched, they ordered the new pair. Wait another week to receive them. Once again, they couldn't find my glasses. Finally I received them and I couldn't see! The glasses were giving me headaches and I couldn't wear them for long periods of time. They were progressive but I could not see far. Went back to them, and was told that the lenses are the correct prescription and that I didn't know what I was talking about. Meanwhile, the tech didn't even have the courtesy to actually check the glasses. I Took the glasses home and tried again. Because I know I am NOT crazy, I called again. I take the glasses back to this location and was told that it was a manufacturer error and they are having a lot of problems with the lab. Finally, they went ahead and installed the new lenses. I can see now. All I got was a sorry. Nothing to say here, this is for all the trouble, gas and time you have spent because of our errors. I am really debating whether to go back. Very frustrating. I had an appointment today to get my eyes checked (at Lenscrafters) at the Florida Mall. It was the only place I could get an appointment the same day, so I took the appointment. They were VERY busy, and I was quite pleased with the service at the optician. I priced eyewear there, and with insurance, they wanted nearly $500. So, I decided to go elsewhere. Next stop Costco, where I've heard you can get really good prices on glasses. Not impressed with their selection of frames! So, next stop, Eyeglass World. I've seen advertisements for them on TV. They carried Ray Ban, which is originally what I thought I would wind up getting. I decided against them and got a pair of Armani Exchange glasses (which were actually even more expensive), but with the more expensive frame, and a BETTER quality lens than I was quoted at Lenscrafters - with transitions, and all the other bells an whistles, the glasses were $120 less (using my insurance as well). The location was very quiet, but it was a pleasure not having to fight tons of people. The service was personal, and I'll definitely be back! read more

We had a glasses mishap at our hotel this morning. First day in Florida. We brought our pair with us without a prescription. Tim was able to get her prescription from the lenses and we picked a new frame. Ours was unable to be fixed so a new pair was our only option. He pushed them through and they were complete in just about an hour. We chose this location for its proximity to Disneyworld. It was easy to find and Timothy was easy to work with. I went to Eyeglass World because of their advertisements. I haven't been to the eye doctor in quite some time and was very pleased at how attentive and friendly the staff was. The problem that I had when I was there is that I spend a lot of time picking out frames and finally selected a couple of pairs (by one get one free deal) and was prepared to spend $200 on my frames. However when all was said and done the total was going to be over $400! I was honestly very upset at the jump in price. I normally wouldn't even consider spending more than $100 on frames but with tax money I thought I would get something nice for myself. I still cant believe that after all was said and done my total price jumped up $200! So now I am online looking at more affordable options. A bunch of people I know recommended ZenniOptical which I am finding to be so much more affordable than eyeglass world. I feel like they tricked me and I really didn't like that at all. I would never return here because of the dramatic price jump. In my opinion I don't feel that was right. I called today and was passed to a manager and let him know. I lost my glasses on my trip down to Florida. I called a few places, and this was the only place that said they might be able to turn around glasses in 24 hours. The staff and manager all did a wonderful job checking on my progress through the process (exam, selecting glasses, ordering glasses and paying). It took about 2 hours because they seem to be horribly understaffed; they were working their butts off! yet seemed to be taking extra time with customers who needed more help. Upon doing some research, Eyeglass World was within my budget even if they didn't accept my insurance. I was able to book an appointment that was less than 48 hours out which delighted me. Upon arrival I learned that they accepted my insurance, opted in for contact lens appointment while I was at it. Huge selection of glasses and most on sale for those who do not have insurance as well. Every member of the staff from reception to representatives to optometrist were extremely helpful and kind. Is like this every single time I come here. I'm done with ever doing business in the store again. Today I walk in with my wife and there are three employees working not one person acknowledges us. I got my prescription filled back in February of 2014 for buy one get one free frames in the $99 section of the store, of course that came with lenses. I paid about around $400. People, don't go there!! Since then I had to change out my frames 3 times and the quality of the frames were crappy. The first ones I had the shiny coat on the frames started to peel. The next two just wouldn't fit me properly no matter what. And I also am going to have to go else where to get new lenses because even from the beginning my vision just wasn't quite right. I didn't go back for the vision part because I didn't like the way the dr examined me. I told him that I was having a problem seeing out of one of my eyes and he didn't even acknowledge it. My wife and I live about 45 minutes from this store so I called to make sure that they took her insurance. The person on the phone assured me that they did an were in network. So after driving 45 minutes there and waiting another 30 minutes for some to help us turns that they were an out of network provider. I wish I could leave ZERO STARS August 9, 2018. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Lenses sent to Mexico and Hong Kong for processing. and after three tries they still couldn't get my prescription right. I went in July 10 with my Ophthalmologists prescription in hand. Ordered progressive lenses of my frames, $340. I was told 5-7 working days and they cut the lenses on site. TWO WEEKS later they arrive and the left lens is totally wrong/blurred and they can see it. So they reordered it. Another 8 days it arrives again for the second try and AGAIN it is wrong and they promise to EXPEDITE for a third try. Again I wait another 8 days, no call from them so I call and find they were there yesterday and no one has called me and hadn't planned too today either. So I drive in to get a refund now 30 DAYS AFTER THE ORIGINAL ORDER and Four Round trips later. Waste of time and money with a bunch of amateurs! read more

Do not come to this eyeglass world for an eye exam. The people that work here are extremely incompetent. Took them over an hour to find my insurance even as I gave them all the information. Then it took another hour to actually see the doctor. The secretary is awful. Can't even focus on the work of the doctor because the people around him are so bad. If it weren't for the prices I would avoid an eyeglass world altogether. My appointment was for 9:30 and I did not see the doctor until 11:15. Awful service. There is an eyeglass world that is closer that I will go to for next year but I will never return to this one. Complete and absolute incompetence. read more
