I went to get my eyes checked. I made an appointment online, which made it very easy. They took my vision insurance as well,l which made it very affordable. The leading head receptionist was very nice, friendly, and personable. She walked me through the check-in process and did the photos for my eyes. After that, I saw the primary eye doctor, Sandoval. Dr. Sandoval was alright, but she was very go-go-go when it came to the eye exam in general. She dilated my eyes, had me sit in the office and then came back to get me after thirty minutes. It felt rushed, but it was as thorough as it could be. I was told I did not need much adjustment in my prescription. However, I was told that I needed to monitor my eyes for Glaucoma in the future. After my eye exam, the salespeople on the main floor were trying to push me to buy new glasses. However, since I didn't need much readjustment, I didn't see the need to purchase new glasses. You could tell the salespeople were disappointed when I kept saying, "No." I was not enthusiastic about this place. Dr. Steve Manikowski is truly an exceptional optometrist, and our family has trusted him with our eye care for over 25 years. Given my long-standing experience with him, I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for my vision needs. A few years ago, I made the mistake of purchasing my progressive glasses and sunglasses from another provider. Unfortunately, they didn't perform as expected. While I could see distance clearly, I struggled to read my phone screen and use my computer monitor. After dealing with the frustration for a couple of years, I decided to return to LensCrafters, even though they're out of network for my insurance. The difference in quality was night and day. In December 2024, it was time for an update, and I couldn't be happier with the results at LensCrafters. Both my progressive glasses and sunglasses are performing beautifully. I have been going to this store for 3 years and have had nothing but great service the DRs are very thorough and the sales team works hard to help. I purchased 4 pairs of glasses from them. One was not right for me and they refunded them with no issues and shared my feedback with the manufacturer. I love my local LensCrafters! Coming in for my annual eye exam is always a breeze and the workers are always so nice. I enjoy being able to schedule my annual exam online, having a set appt, and only ever really waiting about 10 minutes upon arrival. LensCrafters has north the traditional exam where you get your eyes dilated and the digital one; my insurance covers the digital one so I always opt for it. At my past visit, on a Friday around 4pm, I ordered my classes and they were ready for pickup within an hour of my exam (due to my frame being in stock and my prescription). I have been seeing Dr.Driscoll for a couple years now and she is always a sweetheart and thoroughly explains everything during and after my exam. She asks me questions to get the best fit for me! Overall, shopping here is always great, they have a great selection of glasses to pick from and the staff is always so helpful! read more

Appt was at 11:00. Didn't get my initial screening for almost 45 minutes into the program. Saw the doctor about an hour into my visit. Very friendly. Seems pretty thorough. I have had better and worse with LensCrafters. All time in about 90 minutes! I am used to the time spent there as I have the same issue in Ca. The Doctors are the only thing good about this location! A bunch of unprofessional children running the sales. I bought glasses on December 31,2021. It is now 4 weeks later and I had to Call Them to ask why they said it would take 2 weeks at most. They blamed the lab and ups supposedly lost the package. And said that they couldn't control the situation. BUT YOU CAN CONTROL THE COMMUNICATION! I bet if they didn't get paid upfront they would work a little more efficiently! The staff here are very friendly and in general they have a pretty good selection, however I was looking for prescription sunglasses & encountered 2 problems: 1. Their selection of sunglasses seemed quite limited. There are dozens of brands out there, but they carried only the couple biggest it seems, which led to the next issue... 2. They were running a deal on glasses, but that deal didn't extend to Maui Jim & Oakley sunglasses. I went to a competitor in the same shopping plaza that was running a kinda similar deal, yet their deal extended to Maui Jim & Oakley. For such a national market chain, I think they'd have more brands for sale sunglasses-wise and that they'd have the purchasing power to extend their sales to all the brands. read more

About 2 years ago, I brought a pair of new glasses from these guys. The quality was good, but they were pricey compared to Walmart. I was happy to get a good pair that fit, but a bit of sticker shock from the expense. Still, the glasses served me well enough for the next 2 years. I hardly notice them, which is a pretty good thing for glasses. You don't want to notice them at all while wearing them. But today I stepped on my UV protection pair and snapped the lens wire. Bent the frame a little too. I took them back to lenscrafters expecting some expensive repair fee. The glasses were past warrantee after all. But I was pleasantly surprised by the staff. They offered to repair my glasses for free. No problem. The wait didn't take long and they were super cheerful about it. Great service. Good as new. Good as the day I brought them. I changed my mind about the expense I paid for my pair two years ago. I would have had to buy a new pair if I'd have gotten them from Walmart. Or I'd have had to find a good eyeware repair shop that could do it for a low, low cost. (I know, good luck.) 10 out of 10, I'd buy from them again. read more

If you are looking for anything to do with vision or eye glasses, this is the store you need to work with!!! Cannot state enough the amazing 100% AAA+++ client service from all staff at this store. I don't often write reviews about doctors or professional services but just had to share my wonderful experience. We just moved to this area, and my husband has always worked with Lens Crafters for his vision needs. He had his vision check-up at the end of last year with Dr. Susan Driscoll and absolutely raved about her. So of course when it was time for my vision check-up this year, I too chose to work with Dr. Susan Driscoll. Well I can tell you that his opinion of Dr. Driscoll was spot on! Dr. Susan Driscoll has the perfect combination of "bed-side" manner and professionalism. (Doctors should take lessons from her!!!) She explained every procedure to me, answered all of my questions, and even apologized for a technical glitch on a machine that she had nothing to do with. She explained the results of her examination in "English" language, again answered all of my questions, and assured me that my vision was in much better shape than I had imagined. (I was actually starting to get a small cataract when I thought much worse.) She gave me options in regard to glasses explaining the pros and cons of each option and how my vision would be affected. I found her extremely knowledgeable, but just as important for me, very kind, caring and reassuring, taking the time to ensure that I understood and was comfortable with my decision. That stated, I am not surprised as my first interaction with the staff at this store was with Jinelly Gonzalez on the phone. I called asking her about insurance and she spent 15 minutes with me on the phone answering all my questions, and what she didn't know, she found out, and called me back within a 1/2 hour! Then at the store, Diana Chicas checked me in, again answering insurance questions and Giselle Pero who fitted me for glasses, again answered all of my questions and even suggested that AARP provided a better discount for my glasses than our insurance. "You have on a pair of glasses so it's not an emergency." First, I get it. We're living in UNPRECEDENTED times! A week before everything began shutting down, I got my eyes tested and received a new prescription. I have been nursing my last pair of trial contacts for almost five weeks (they are single-use, by the way) as everywhere is closed. Today, while studying for my state exams on Tuesday, the lens tore in my eye. I took them out immediately and searched my house for a pair of glasses. The glasses I found are at least 5 years old. I put them on, hopped online an found the nearest LensCrafters to my house. To my surprise, it was open and I rushed there with my prescription in hand. The door had a lengthy message about them only seeing customers if it's urgent. I read this entire message and then proceeded inside. The young lady at the desk proceeded to advise me that they're only seeing clients on an urgent basis. I said: "I understand". I have a prescription, I do not need an exam, I simply need to purchase a pair of glasses. She said: "I understand but we are only seeing customers on an urgent basis." Please note, up until this point, I was more disappointed than anything. It's clearly no fault of hers. I immediately began thinking: "I wish I had a more current back-up pair of glasses. I can't study in these glasses. I get excruciating migraines when I wear them. Studying in them 6-8 hours a day just isn't going to work. Driving over an hour to my exam Tuesday is going to be dangerous and I'll have a migraine at the start of this test." Again, none of that has anything to do with her/LensCrafters. But the rub for me was her closing statement: "You have on a pair of glasses on so it's not urgent." So, I'll end how I started, I get it. We're living in UNPRECEDENTED times! But I believe any message can be conveyed respectfully and without an edge. My prayers are with the lab techs and employees at the Loop at LensCrafters who she mentioned have been furloughed. John Young Parkway in Kissimmee, FL and my son saw Dr Steven Manikowski and we really liked him, he was awesome. He also has a great personality! He talked with us and made us feel so welcomed. My husband and I have been coming to this Lenscrafters for over 8 years, mainly for our annual eye exams with Dr. Steve Manikowski, who is one of the best Optometrists. We have purchased thousands of dollars, worth of glasses at this store. First, Lenscrafters could not get their act together enough to display some type of professionalism with re-scheduling our appointments, no return phone calls, the online appointment booking system failed and after numerous voicemail messages and calls, I finally got through to a live person. Yesterday were our appointments, which are 3 months past due our regular annual exams. I walked into the store with my mask on and was approached by a large female who said (with attitude) "Can I help you?" I informed her that we had appointments with the doctor and she immediately told me a load voice that I needed to put my mask over my nose. I advised her that I have asthma and the county executive order states that if you have a health condition that inhibits you from breathing.... She then barked that if I was not willing to wear my mask properly, that I had to leave. I told her to cancel our appointments and I was leaving, NEVER to return. She did not bother to ask my name and she never offered to get a manager or the doctor. There was one customer in the store, which is huge and 3 other employees on the sales floor. She was rude, disrespectful, and extremely unprofessional! It is regrettable that Dr. Manikowski is affiliated with this establishment. The Customer Service at the LensCrafters at The Loop is abysmal, simply horrible and inattentive. I have been wearing glasses since elementary school, but it's been well over five years since my last exam and new set of eyeglasses. My work-related insurance is set to be active and I am taking a proactive approach in getting my eyewear. I walked into the store, and walked over to the men's section of the eyeglasses. I began trying on different pairs of glasses. It took over twenty minutes before a representative approached me. 20 MINUTES! Daniel approached me and provided assistance. I informed him that I will be using my insurance. I wasn't sure if I was active in the system. After checking the system, I was yet to be active. He informed that nothing could be done until I was active. Completely understandable. A few days later, once the insurance company had processed my information and shows me active in the active, I called and asked to speak with Daniel. After a long five minute wait, Daniel came on the phone. I wanted him to check for the next available appointment for an eye exam and schedule me for it. Apparently, he was extremely busy and took down my phone number and stated that he would call me back within 30 minutes. I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. I called a few days later to follow up. I spoke with a lady, I didn't get her name. I wanted to schedule the next available appointment. Again, they appeared to be busy and she was not giving me her full attention. I stated that I would stop into the office, as I was driving nearby. I walked into the store. I got scheduled for the next available appointment. I informed her that it had been well over five years since my last eye exam. I asked her if it was the type of exam were the doctor would slip between the lenses and ask out of which lens do I see better. She highlighted and emphasized the state of the art technology that is now available. The exam that I mentioned was the old school way of conducting exams. I specifically asked what exam entails. She left out one key piece of information. (more on that in a second) On the day of the exam, I showed a bit early before my scheduled appointment. I was asked to fill out routine paperwork - basic demographic information. As I filled out the form, at the bottom of the page there was statement about how the eyes would get dilated and blurry vision is a possibility for the next 4-6 hours. What the lady representative failed and forgot to mention when I asked her what the eye exam entails was the fact that my eyes would get dilated and I would not be able to drive. This is simply poor customer service. Had I known this valuable piece of information, I would have scheduled my appointment on a weekend and used Uber to drive me. I expressed my anger and frustration. The next available appointment was two weekends out. They said that they would call to confirm my appointment. Yet, they DID NOT call me remind me of this current appointment. They may have the latest equipment, but fail horribly in the customer service department. I was waiting at the door 20 minutes before this location opened. Once's they opened I was also the first one in the door. I was told they take walk-ins and seeing as how I was the first one there one would think they'd be seen pretty quickly. On the contrary I waited for over an hour to be seen. Two women came in after me with appointments for 40 min later and they still were taken back before me?! I just don't understand. The associates all had the most fake attitude I've ever experienced. I understand being cheerful but there is a thing as too happy... They have a very limited selection of frames as well. The discounts they offer are not worth it either. Any other reviews that are positive about this particular lens crafters are being posted to buff up there yelp reviews (The positive reviews are false). They also don't have a bathroom which is extremely inconvenient seeing as how they make most of the customers wait for long periods of time. I've been a customer/patient at this LensCrafters location for years and never had an issue until today. I understand that things are operating differently during the pandemic, but I didn't even feel valued as a human being by some of the associates at this store. There was a mixup between the pre-appointment vs appointment but the first associate I checked in with let me know that she'd be able to fit me in the schedule. Great! I filled out a couple of questionnaires and once I sat down, it seemed like I was completely invisible to the associates. I waited for 45 mins... multiple associates and one of the doctors walked by me and no one said anything. No reassurance that they're running behind, but I would be seen as soon as they can fit me in. Nothing. Instead, the associates were all socializing in the middle of the floor. At the 50 min point, I decided to go back up to the front desk to kindly ask how much longer it would be until I'd be seen by the doctor. The associate began to reply when another associate interjected and responded (to her) that she was running behind and since I had a pre-appointment I'd have to be seen whenever they could fit me in. This associate had the opportunity to acknowledge my presence and tell me directly, but didn't acknowledge me at all so the other associate had to relay the message even though I was standing right there the whole time. It's a shame because I've interacted with the woman who interjected almost every year for my eye exam. Whether she was having an off day or not, the exchange completely turned me off from ever going to that location again - I'll probably leave LensCrafters altogether. read more

I have been going to Lens Crafters since the 1980s up in New Jersey. Since moving to Florida in 2010, I have been going to the Lens Crafters Store at the Loop in Kissimmee. Never had a problem up until now. My new glasses are taking over a week to come in. When I called to complain about the time involved I was transferred to the Manager (6/07/2022). Those before her were pleasant to speak with. However, she was extremely rude. All she did was justify the delay. When I tried to express my disappointment, she began talking over me and would not listen. At that point, I raised my voice and asked her to please stop talking over me. At that point, she began screaming at me at which point I hung up and called corporate and filed a complaint. I will NEVER go back to that store again. After 40 plus years with LensCrafters, I have never been treated so rudely and screamed at as I was today. Today 8/26/2016 my husband and two year old walked in with a prescription. We were looking to purchase a pair of glasses. When you have a child in tow, speediness is a necessity. They were busy and very prompt. We picked out the glasses we wanted to purchase for my husband, a nice pair of ray bans. It was almost immediately after we picked out the glasses he was sitting down with a sales associate. When I had to leave the store with the two year old, my husband was told that his insurance Cigna was not accepted here. What the misinformed sales person failed to realize EyeMed IS Cigna's vision plan. We were looking forward to the convenience of an onsite lab so we could have the glasses today. I went to this store attempting to use the Lens Crafters warranty that was recommended by a Lens Crafters associate on a lens that the sales person recommended as well. I was told by the rep at this store (the Loop mall Kissimmee store) that they could not cover the lens. I told them that the Lens was recommended by a Lens Crafters associate as well as the warranty to cover it. They still would not help so I contacted the customer service line and was told a regional manager would contact me. 1 month later and still no contact. I made several calls to the Lens Crafters customer service but have not heard from management. Rant: LensCrafters at the Loop My daughter, husband and I had an appointment for 4:00 pm. We showed up 10 minutes early. The store seemed extremely busy so we knew we would have to be patient. We gave the sales people the glasses we chose and after waiting 40 minutes we were seen by the optometrist. After getting our eyes checked, we were told to wait for a sales person. We waited 2 hours. It was pretty difficult since we had our 6 week old baby with us. We were beginning to get really hungry so my husband asked one of the sales people how much longer it would be. The sales person told him that we were not even on the waiting list. We waited another 15 minutes until we were finally assisted. The sales person that helped us check out was not aware of the BOGO promotion they had on children's glasses. He was not aware that it could not be combined with insurance. Therefore, it took a lot longer since he was trying to figure it out. He also did not set our expectations that we would get a text message for each pair of glasses we ordered instead of one text for all 3. So when my husband showed up the next day in response to the text message, they signed him in and waited 40 minutes. When he was finally assisted, they advised him that the other pairs would not be ready for another hour. After waiting another hour he was then advised the 3rd pair would not be ready for yet another hour. If he would have known, he would have just picked them up another day instead of wasting so much time. It was the worst experience. We lost so much time getting these glasses. (4 hours the initial day and 1 hours 40 minutes the next day) I will never go to LensCrafters again. read more

Well with this one I was not to careful. Worst Costumer Service, to expensive for what they have, they also act like if they are full of people when in reality they are not. They have a black lady who has not manners she schedules the patient and is very rude. I will not recommend this place at all they treatment is horrible and the prices are way to high for the treatment a patients gets. You will think the patient will get a VIP treatment for the prices they have, but is the other way. That black lady needs training on how to treat a patient. I work in the healthcare industry in management corporate and I will not fire her but I will train her since she is the front she can brake any business and the owner will never know why his sales are dropping. It's amazing that a year or so ago, I walked out of this very same Lenscrafters for what looked like 25-cent frames being sold for 10 times that much. Yesterday, almost everything seemed to be the total opposite, from the large selection of low-to-higher-end frames (none exorbitant), an amazingly kind and on-the-ball staff, and a superb optometrist, Dr. Manikowski. He took the time to reply to my optical questions in a far more detailed way than my own ophthalmologists (who also refer to him but are superb in their own right). This store was beautifully appointed and very comfortable, and intermittent waiting time seemed too short! There was zero pressure to purchase anything or hurry with my selection(s). One of the assistants spent close to half an hour assisting me with frame choices. Remarkably she and I saw everything in the same light, perhaps thanks to Dr. Manikowski! The one drawback was the small selection of sunglasses, had I had the money to treat myself to a pair. Before you go, make sure to check out your vision plan(s) if relevant and take note of the store's daily discounts; it's good to know which will serve you better though the staff already has the answer to that, and it's an honest one. Once inside you won't know you're in the busy Loop, a place (like nearly all malls) I prefer to stay out of - especially this time of year. Luckily, parking was not hard to find as neighboring businesses were not doing all that well despite the jockeying traffic. Decided to come to this location as it is extremely close to my home. I made an appointment and waited about 15-20 mins to be seen. It so happened that my previous eye doctor now works here, (Dr. McCoy) which I never had any issues with. I then proceeded to look for frames then sat down with a young lady (not sure of her name but she had bright green eyes) she was not very friendly and the attitude I received was as if she was in a rush or just did not want to be bothered. Asked me if I wanted to add the anti glare I stated no and then she proceeded to ask me if I knew what that was as if the name doesn't state for itself. She was not very friendly and actually was hoping I would not have to deal w her when going back. She let me call into the office the next day to pay for the frames, she stated it would take a week. That week came by and I never once received a call as to the frames being ready. I had to call several times because I could not get through w anyone and finally was told the frames were ready. Went to pick up the frames waiting for 20 minutes again. Then proceeded with the young gentleman and asked me if I wanted to ass warranty, said I had 30 days to add it ($34.99). This is by far the worst LensCrafters I have been to. I took my daughter for her eye exam and new glasses. We selected her glasses and were assisted by Sharon. Sharon began to complete the transaction without asking us about optional features, she added polycarbonate lenses as well as glare resistance. When she gave us the total I asked why it was so high when the majority of the lenses and frames were covered by the Insurance. I asked if the lense that she entered was the basic lense because that's what I wanted and she told me yes everything is basic. I then proceeded to take out the print out of my insurance coverage to what she responded "well the glare resistance is optional, you can eliminate that if you want but the polycarbonate frames are mandatory by law If your daughter is under the age of 18". I paid for the glasses and left but before I pulled off I decided to call a couple other stores because I have never heard of a law obligating parents to purchase a polycarbonate lense. As I suspected this too was another of Sharon's lies. I went back inside and spoke to general manager who acted like nothing h happened. I told her that the store policy states that children under the age of 12 were obligated to use the polycarbonate lense and that this was not a law as Sharon stated, I also spoke to her about Sharon not asking us if we were wanted to upgrade the lense to polycarbonate and glare resistance to which she answered we don't push anything on anyone. Well your right it's not pushed it's just automatically entered into your total! Beware and stay away from this store!! Check your receipt before you leave if you decide to purchase from this store. read more

I went into this lens crafters for the first time because it's close to my house but they didn't acknowledge me at all for the long while I waited there, couldn't even tell me to wait a bit. Never again I'll continue to make the trip to Millenia. read more

My daughter was home from college on break and in need of new glasses. We looked around the store and picked out the frame shape she wanted and confirmed with the asst. manager that the frame was available in the color that she wanted. We then had to wait over an hour before we were finally able to sit down to order them. Terribly understaffed. The person we sat down with to order also confirmed that she could have the frames in tortoise shell. Finally, placed the order, and ten days later she was notified they were in. She went to pick them up and they were the wrong color - blue. The asst manager tried to convince her that was what she had ordered and tried to get her to take them! Fortunately, she had the receipt which clearly showed that they were ordered in tortoise shell. After pushback, LensCrafters said they couldn't order them in that color and finally refunded her money. But by this point, we couldn't re-order anywhere bc she would be back at college by the time they were in. So, she went online to frames dot com and found the identical frames for way less money, and with lenses included, the total came to $150 LESS than Lenscrafters' price, which included insurance! So, don't waste your time or money at this place. read more
