**UPDATE - in reply to Eyedolize: After updating my initial review, I received an email from Kristina, offering a refund for the brow service. I appreciated the sentiment but chose not to take advantage, as I believe services should be paid for - regardless if the experience was negative or positive - if an employee spent their time and materials then they should be compensated. I'm surprised to find this terse response from Kristina, seeing that her first attempt at communicating with me seemed amicable. However, I stand by my updated review and would also like to clarify two points: 1) Mary WAS the only lash technician I experienced because my first experience with her was so stellar, and I didn't see the need to change technicians. The old adage "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" comes to mind. It is likely the other technicians may have done a good job, as well, but I can only provide details on MY experience and that was with Mary. My updated review NEVER urged clients to leave Eyedolize. On the contrary, it explicitly stated "if you're looking for a lash artist, I suggest tracking Mary down at her new studio." This assumes the reader doesn't ALREADY have a lash artist but is in search of one. This recommendation wouldn't pertain to current clients of Eyedolize. So to reiterate, I never "urged clients to leave". That's just not my style. Which leads me to my next point.. 2) Aside from lashes, the only other service I had done was an eyebrow wax and tint. I was dissatisfied based off the points I enumerated in my updated review. However, I did find a new brow artist (Beauty by Brie in Sterling Heights) who I have seen since and has done a phenomenal job each time. Funnily enough, when I did visit Brie she also mentioned my right eyebrow had lacked definition and shape even before I shared my previous experience at Eyedolize. Having another brow artist notice the discrepancy in my brows confirmed my doubts regarding my service with Kristina. Unfortunately, I am just getting around to updating my review for the brows - I take accountability for that. However, given the fact that the ONLY other service I received was for brows at Eyedolize, I felt compelled to update my review to ensure others didn't fall victim to the same experience I had. Yes, other Yelpers can AND should read the other reviews. They will confirm that Mary is an amazing lash artist (as I stated previously). But my singular experience with Kristina doing my brows was subpar, and should be shared not as a deterrent but as a cautionary tale for others looking for a new brow place. The *update review* function exists for a reason. I stand by the 1 star for my brow experience because it really was terrible. read more

As a New Yorker, moving to Michigan was stressful. Not because of the move, but because I had no idea where to get my lashes done. I called a ton of salons that told me they wouldn't take me if I already had lashes on me that were done by a different technician. This is beyond ridiculous given that I saw one of the best in NY, and my lashes were healthy and strong. Finally, I found Eyedolize. After a nice long chat on the phone, I went on the website and easily booked my appointments for the upcoming months. I cannot believe that the lashes I got from Eyedolize blow my NY set out of the water!!!!!!! They offer an array of lashes depending on your preferences, and I cannot believe the quality and longevity of life of the lashes at Eyedolize! All the technicians are so nice, and the facility is extremely clean. The beds are also super comfy, so I have been known to get some extra zzzs during my appointment. I also love that all appointments can be booked online. This makes it easy to make 2-3 months worth of appointments at once. Parking is also pretty easy. The only issue I have is that the street parking is either one-hour or two-hour, so it is always a guessing game whether or not I will get a ticket. If this is your first time getting lashes, I suggest trying out their "glamour" set first. This is a natural set. If you want something a little more luxurious that lasts a little longer, try their "dramatic" set, which features feathering. A glamour set will typically last me about two weeks. * OVERALL: Cleanliness: 10/10 Location: 9/10- paying for parking stinks as is watching the clock to ensure I don't get a ticket- however, it is nice that you can pay for the meter on your phone, and I find that all of the technicians are very cognizant of time constraints. Technicians: 10/10. They are all super nice and the quality of their work is beyond. When I visited my friends in NY, they could not believe how much better my lashes looked than theirs, lol Do yourself a favor. Don't get lost in the sea of Birmingham Lash options. Just go to Eyedolize and save yourself the hassle. FYI: I see Gabriella, and she is beyond amazing!!!!!! Super detail oriented, and the sweetest person on the planet! Recently moved back to MI from San Diego- I can only speak about the lash lift. I've had this done many times and every now and again get someone who over curls the lashes. One eye looks okay, the other eye's lashes are curling over themselves laying flush against my eyelid. If it's your first time having a lash lift by someone new, ask for a little less lift to see how your lashes react after the procedure. I should have asked for less lift, but did not. When I walked out, eye lashes looked fantastic- throughout the day I felt them setting and curling more. Gotta wait for them to relax. Very cute place with nice people. read more

I am updating my initial review. The girls are sweet but need a lot more training. After a few weeks I had to have a removal by the owner. She did my lashes weekly for 6 weeks. Then I had another person doing them again. After a few weeks the same problems only worse. Clumped lashes that were stuck to multiple of my lashes. They hurt. No response from the owner when I sent messages. Then I had a bi week appointment (I was going weekly) I got sick but showed the owner these photos. They said they would fix them but after 4 weeks they require a new full set... at over 300$... never have I ever heard of a full set requirement after 4 weeks. Most lashes last 3 to 4 weeks and then maybe an extended fill... as you see the only full set I needed was a removal of the Clumped improper lashes and full set should have been comped after weekly appointments for months. At 75$ plus a tip and I am generous. I found a new place for half the price and 100% quality. NO requirement for a full set after 4 weeks. I am not new to lashes. I have not went more then 3 days without lashes since October 2019. During covid I did my own. I had very high hopes. Definitely high price and not worth it! Lovely ladies there. I have to say that. Pictures speak volumes... I have been with my new girl for a little over a month. read more

Great service! Unlike getting my hair and nails done, I look forward to getting my eyelashes done. I've had three different ladies do my eyelashes and I've left happy with the look. That said, I have my favorite lady. Aliona is the best in my opinion. Not only does she customize my look perfectly to my face shape, size of my eyes while still looking fabulous and yet casual without feeling overly done; she is genuinely sweet and kind. My lash technician was very gentle, but clearly new. after spending $300, I would've hoped for a better result. Only to find that more than half of my lashes fell off in the first 48 hours. I even went out to my car after my appointment just to give them a brush before heading home, and 6 fans came out... very, very disappointing. read more

The person who did my lashes and brows was very nice, BUT especially for my lash lift, when compared online for how it was supposed to look, was pretty lackluster... I followed all of the instructions (came in with a bare face, did not wet my lashes or brows for 24 hours after treatment) and my brows are way too dark after tinting them (they look cringy tbh--the appearance of brows where someone doesn't know to actually transition.. yeah I'm stuck with that now for the next two weeks, even after her assurances that it would begin to fade). My right brow is not even fully straightened (after lamination) and you can definitely tell when you look at the brow as it transitions outward. My lashes are *barely* lifted. I realized this the next day because it was my first time getting these treatments and didn't know what to expect until I actually got insight from people who receive these treatments regularly. I'm really disappointed and frustrated because neither was worth the full price. I wouldn't be this upset if both treatments cost like $40 each or something but $85 each and this is my result..? Train your people better, because fuck, I'm out ~$200 for substandard treatments when all I wanted was to treat myself for the first time in a year and a half. Edit 1: After being reached out to by someone from the business, I'm fully expecting to be gaslit when I go in to have them look at it since she actually said "sometimes there's a limit to how much your lashes will lift." P R E T T Y sure they were supposed to have lifted way more, especially when the tech who did them said I had "the perfect lashes for a lash lift," because my lashes are thick and long, not short and brittle lol so *pretty* sure I'm not the issue here lol Edit: one of the owners, Christine, was able to fix the lift and the lamination and also took off the brow tint, and was otherwise very attentive and detail-oriented. I didn't know what to expect coming in for the second time and I'm genuinely glad I did. Tl;dr: If you're new to these procedures and don't know the right questions to ask or concerns to voice, study the reviews and ask for techs that people named and are happy with--initially, I just took the first available appointment with someone who's normally the receptionist so.. wasn't the best choice and hope she gets the experience and training necessary not to repeat what she did on me. Otherwise, the owners were very receptive and did their best to set things right so I am grateful for that. read more

She's the best technician I've ever come across. She is a perfectionist and could not be a more kind person! If you think they're over priced, you're wrong. I want to start off by saying my review reflects the prices! This salon is extremely overpriced. I got lash extensions by Gabriella. She was super sweet and did a great job, BUT it was $250 compared to other places which varied between $150-$180. Than I did a brow "clean up" with Kristina for threading. We didn't shape my brows, we didn't do a full thread, we merely cleaned them up. I was in and out in 5 minutes and it cost $30. I have never spent more than $12-15 for a full thread. While both girls were sweet and Kristina was super easy to work with to scheduled an apt. I would recommend shopping around for more competitive prices. read more
