Later, I was told the original eye exam could possibly be the issue and I could return for a recheck. With a limited return window and a work schedule that makes repeated visits difficult, I wasn't comfortable taking glasses I couldn't see clearly through and hoping it could be resolved later. I returned them. I had also requested a contact-lens exam, which was forgotten, requiring yet another visit. If your insurance only covers one eye exam per year, research where you use that benefit carefully. After this experience, I'll get an independent exam elsewhere.

Then there is a dedicated area for you to purchase glasses with the brand-new prescription you just received. It's a one stop shop. 1 Star. Service - My optometrist (for over 2 decades), is Dr. Park. He's personable, thorough, detailed orientated, has knowledge of my vision history, and remembers my family. I feel very comfortable visiting Dr. Park as my optometrist. The receptionist and retail staff are also very helpful. Just be warned, they're really busy in December when everyone is trying to use the Insurance benefits before they reset. 1 Star. Facility - There is a small waiting area for kids (great if you bring them with you), and there are multiple rooms to take multiple tests on your eyes. "Number one or number two? Two or three?" You get the idea. For the retail area, there are a large number of designer brands (Tom Ford, Prade) along with mainstream brands (Ray-Ban, Oakley's). The staff is great. I was running 4 mins behind due to traffic and they went ahead and brought in the appointment behind me since they were already there and waiting. Not ideal for me of course but great if the shoe had been on the other foot. It's a pretty cozy space so I waited for the appointment to wrap up by admiring the small town views and a few new pair of glasses. Dr. Nguyen was a pleasure. She was knowledgeable and made sure that I had just as much of an understanding of what was going on with my eyes. I didn't feel rushed at all going through my exam and she gave me thoughtful suggestions on my next steps to ensure that my eye health was being prioritized. I also appreciated that Dr. Nguyen sanitized the equipment before having me use each machine. At the front desk for check out, the woman who helped me there was also really patient as I scrambled to find my HSA card to pay. It started pouring down raining and she was even kind enough to walk me through the back door to my car so I wouldn't get as wet. And not just her but the entire staff. It was easy to get an appointment - I scheduled online on a Tuesday or Wednesday for a Friday lunchtime appointment. They immediately texted me to make sure I'd scheduled the appointment correctly and that I could fill out my patient forms beforehand to cut down on time in the office. I really liked that it wasn't a bot text, but an actual person so that I could ask and answer questions freely. No "REPRESENTATIVE!" over and over for me! The forms were a bit cumbersome and hopefully that i something they look into - but that's my only con. In the office, I was greeted immediately. It's a super nice practice and it looks way more chic than my last place. I did have to wait a bit from the time I was led into the patient room and then again after I was dilated but for me personally, that's nothing odd. The front desk staff was so sweet from start to finish and they guided me through where to wait, insurance, payments, etc. I didn't opt to purchase glasses or contacts there (at the time), but there are consultants available to help. And even though I said no they still made sure the keep an eye on me - that sounds creepy, but imagine it not creepy, because it was helpful. Since my appointment, they have texted a couple times to check on my trial contacts because with my weirdo eyes I can't order contacts immediately. Not intrusively. Bottom line...I love this place. It isn't close but it's 100% worth the drive. Minus the persnickety way the online forms behave, this practice is almost perfect. They insisted on full eye exam after a year, and insisted using a digital retinal imaging retina scan. That scanning procedure alone with the exam was $244. (WITH insurance). I decided to go with a previous provider I had before and was not bullied into using a retina imaging device. I was also given a copy of my prescription to take with me to be free to shop around for the best price of contact lenses. This V-Eye-P location has all the latest equipment, styles, and sure is pretty with all the marble decor. But you don't need all of that to get quality customer service. Plus a friendlier person to greet you goes a long way. Look into that.

I had a specific brand and style in mind which they did not carry. The doctor's wife handles the store and she was not pushy, discussed the options they had and let me try them. I did not make a purchase though. Location : Conveniently located off 635 and MacArthur - next to Fish City Grill & MiCocino. Plenty of parking available.
