The office is so cute, modern and classy looking. It feels like a nice boutique when you enter and not at all like a doctor's office. Everything is new, bright and clean. Dr.Thanh Trinh is so sweet and gives the most thorough eye exam. I've never had any doctors be so thorough with examining my eyes before and I've had a few eye exams. She took her time examining my eyes and I felt well taken cared of. I left the office feeling confident that my eyes are health. Dr.Thanh Trinh also gave me recommendations on the kind of frames I should be buying. I've never received any recommendations when I went to other places. I was usually left to pick any frames I thought would be good for me and not knowing which would be more comfortable and would work best for my face. Eye Place Optometry also has the newest and trendiest frames to choose from. Their frames are all the latest styles and they carry a lot of fun and unique frames. I didn't intend on purchasing frames today because I was just going to use my current frames with my new prescriptions. However, after trying on the right frames that fitted my face better, I didn't like my current frames anymore. I ended up buying a brand new pair. I can't wait to get them in a few days! This was my first time for an exam since I'm new to the area. I do not recommend this place. They are pushy about buying their overpriced lenses and frames. I went back to have my glasses adjusted and the filipino looking lady at the front gave me a hard time and asked if I bought the glasses there. She looked me up and said that the only glasses on file were some Versace ones but i have never bought any Versace frames there. I told her that she must of entered the wrong designer cause I had purchased Tory Burch glasses there. She stayed quiet and did not apologize. She asked the other lady to help me (the older girl was pleasant). From the beginning the doctor and Filipino lady were pushy about the products and I felt rushed. It was a weird and uncomfortable place to visit. I wont be returning. read more

Dr. Thanh was incredibly kind and extremely thorough with my examination, an eye exam and pupil dilation .She explained step by step what she was doing, what she was looking for, and what I should be looking for to prevent any problems. Karen was detailed and helpful with everything from filling out forms to that annoying little puff of air on the eyeball lol. Karen and Dr. Thanh even went above and beyond when they fully engaged in personal conversation with me while working. I've been wearing glasses/contacts for the past 20 years + and these are the best optometrists I've had. They took their time with my eye exams, gave me two different lenses to trial because i couldn't make up my mind. They also ordered extra astigmatism contacts for me to see if those would improve my vision. I was a pretty complicated client, but the doctors here were amazing to deal with. They really listened to all my problems and tried to help me. In the end I settled with the daily lenses for comfort and also ordered a pair of Versace frames, which received numerous compliments. We have tried several optometry places in Elk Grove over the years and just haven't found the right one. We went to Eye Place on Wednesday. The receptionist was amazing! Dr. Trinh was awesome. It was my husband, myself, our 3 year old, and our 7 week old. Needless to say there was a lot going on for us. They were so patient and helpful with us! Super late review but Dr. Trinh is an amazing eye doctor and very hospitable. She helped me find the right pair of eyeglasses for my face and a few months later helped me fix my glasses when it got scratched in under 1 hour! I just had a routine eye exam at Kaiser and decided to hop onto Yelp to see where I could get a pair of nice name brand frames. And that's where I came across Eye Place Optometry. I decided to give them a call and was told I could go in to take a look at some frames. I went in the next day around 2pm and was greeted by (who I think was) the OD, Thanh. I forgot to ask for her name.. she was really friendly and helpful, though. She told me to go ahead and browse around. Then another employee, Karen, came to help me. They have a great selection of name brands. I was a little overwhelmed, haha. Karen and the OD were assisting me as well-- from explaining my insurance coverage to helping me find frames that would best complement my face shape. After trying on a few glasses, I finally found the ones I wanted. Karen got me measured and placed my order. She told me it would take about 7-10 weeks for my glasses to be ready. But I kid you not, they called me about 2 1/2-3 hours later and said my order was ready for pick up! I got there about 30 minutes after to try them on. Before I left, I even checked in and received a free gift (lens cleaning spray & cloth). I cannot be any happier with my glasses and the service they provided me. Thanks Eye Place! read more

Dr. Thanh Trinh and her staff are very friendly and professional, and were extremely helpful answering any questions I had throughout my visit. I really appreciated their honest opinions when trying to choose new frames--other places might say everything looks good to push me to purchase, but here they actually let me know which frames work well or not with my face shape.
