Incredible! Late last night on the eve of July 4th, unbeknownst to me, my puppy found my glasses on a side table and mistook them for a chew toy. I texted today (Friday, 7/4/25) and found out that they are closed until Monday for the holiday. After the initial response by the shop, I received a text from Anna, who sold me the frames, etc. She asked which pair was damaged (I had bought more than one) and told me she would order new lenses first thing Monday morning. I would be able to come in on Tuesday morning, and the lenses would be replaced. I have always been very happy with Eye Gallery, but this level of service is virtually unheard of. I bought two pairs of glasses with progressive lenses which were fine but I also bought a pair of prescription sun glasses which cost a lot of money. After three years, the lens coating started to deteriorate and now I can't even see out of them without feeling like I am in a fog . I am very careful of my glasses so I know it was not my fault. I went back to the store this past weekend to show them the sun glasses. I was told that the warranty is one year and that sun glasses generally only last two years anyway. What?? I've bought prescription sun glasses that cost less than half of what these cost with no problems EVER. I will never go back to this gallery. read more

Having a narrow face and wanting to find eyeglasses that I liked, I headed to Eye Gallery of Scarsdale to see what they had (I also live nearby). A young lady, who was delightful, had me try on a dozen or so pairs, none that I liked. Also, when I pointed out that i was trying on eyeglasses that were almost identical to one another and all had the same issues I didn't like, I was assured that was certainly not the case and I must be mistaken. Ok... Then comes out a gentleman, who I am assuming is the son of the owners. When I said I was having an issue finding something I liked, instead of stepping in to help, he gave me a monologue about how amazing this store was, that celebrities and the well-known come from all over to shop at their store and that his poop smells like roses (ok, I added the last part, but honestly, i wouldn't have surprised if that was said). Pompous and unhelpful. Humph. I took a selfie of a pair that I wasn't sure of and said I would return if I decided to get them. I did return and tried on the glasses again and it was a no-go. This time, the young lady and the mother helped me for about 3 minutes. When I did not like the new choices, they literally turned their back on me and helped other customers. Employees/owners are rude, service is horrendous, and if you don't make THEM happy by choosing something quickly you are out-of-luck (except of course, if you are the one of the "well-known" who are said to shop there). I grew up in Scarsdale and would get my glasses made here. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I have had my eyes checked here too and they were great but I prefer ophthalmologists for strictly insurance reasons. The reason why I am giving 5 stars is for what happened after I moved to Brooklyn. I went to an eye doctor who was fine and had my glasses made at some opticians on the upper east side for cheaper. Big mistake. They got the pupil placement all wrong and I couldn't see and felt nauseous. Eye Gallery fixed it. Next eye doctor I went to was fine and I went to highly regarded optical shop in Chinatown. Paid an arm and a leg. It took 4-6 weeks. The first pair was fine but the second pair was wrong, then came in right but was broken so I gave up. Got my glasses done again at Scarsdale Eye Gallery. No issues and got my prescription perfectly in one week. Just recently went to an eye doctor in Brooklyn. He wasn't thorough with my prescription and made me come back to double check it. Get prescription and of course go to Eye Gallery. They notice the prescription is missing an important element and has to call eye doctor, once again correcting the other person's mistake. I have decided that I am just only going to go to Scarsdale Eye Gallery for the rest of my life. They're the only ones who have never made a mistake and fixed all my glasses errors. If I move to another state, I still will only get my glasses at Eye Gallery Scarsdale. I will pay to see them for eye checks. I trust no one else but Eye Gallery Scarsdale. Tl.dr Eye Gallery Scarsdale has fixed everyone else's mistakes and they are the only optometrists and opticians I will ever trust. read more

Casey Day, Anna and Drs. Rosen and all provide a wonderful experience and excellent eye care. They have an amazing selection of glasses not found elsewhere. They manage to know exactly what will fit you and suit your taste. I have purchased numerous pairs of glasses and have been very happy with service. My mom and children use them as well. The glasses come back from lab very quickly. The staff seamlessly manage a small and busy shop with care and attention to everyone. If you are not White in Color, please avoid this place. The moment I entered the place, I could see a strange look, like I was out of place and unwelcome. When no one would even bother to check what I wanted, I tried to politely ask a gentleman who worked there if he can help me. He snapped back with anger, no way to treat a paying customer. I decided that I was not going to leave, even if I am a person of color (Brown), these folks cannot treat me like this. When they saw that I was not planning to leave, they finally had no choice. Eye Gallery has the best selection of glasses and sunglasses that I've ever seen! I've purchased Chanel Sunglasses and Lafont prescription eye glasses there. I've also ordered Biofinity contacts from them and they added a prescription sunglass lens to my SALT aviators. Wanted to share an amazing experience I just had at Eye Gallery. A colleague of mine got a piece of glass in his eye and was in great discomfort. I called Dr. Michael Rosen to explain that although he was not a current patient, he really needed some help. No questions asked, Dr. Rosen had him come in immediately and did a thorough exam. My colleague left with eye drops and a prescription and the assurance the glass was all out. This store has amazing customer service and the doctors truly care for their patients. It can be so hard to find the right doctor. You know, the one that's actually listening. Very often times you might find that but then the office staff isn't quite what should be. Scarsdale Eye Gallery, however, is great all around! The docs are friendly, informative and thorough. Very easy going. When you are done and are directed to the staff out front, you are lead to very capable and friendly people. They go above and beyond to make it work for you. I tell them I may go to Scarsdale for my eye doc but I don't live there! Meaning I have to choose my items carefully. That is no problem for them. They work tirelessly to make sure you are comfortable and happy with what you decide. I never feel rushed either. Anna has been my main contact there and has always been so professional and kind. The last time I was there she was not and I felt a little lost...for about 10 seconds! Then a young lady whose name I don't remember (shame on me) and a gentleman by the name of Felix, helped me make my choice of a new frame. No rush, no pressure. A+ selection and service. I live in NYC and was up visiting a friend for the weekend. I forgot my contact lenses and she took me to Eye Gallery where Dr. Rosen was kind enough to give me samples of my lenses for the weekend. While I was there, I found a pair of glasses I had been trying to find for ages, as well as learned about multi-focal contact lenses which changed my life. I went to Eye Gallery of Scarsdale because it was an approved provider of eye glasses from my insurance company. I handed the woman on duty the prescription for the lenses, told her that I had insurance and she said that I had to leave my frames with her for a week in order to get the new lenses. I only had the one pair of eyeglasses and needed them to see, drive a car, etc. She told me that I could pay up front, submit my own insurance claim and I would be re-imbursed. She would call me when the lenses came in and I could wait for about an hour while the lenses were fitted to my frames. She told me that most people handled it this way and she gave me a receipt to submit to the insurance company. Imagine my surprise when the insurance company reimbursed me $40 for a $366 bill! I called the insurance company to protest. The insurance company called Eye Gallery of Scarsdale. They refused to submit a claim on my behalf and told the insurance company that they were finished with me. I am posting this story so that others are not taken in by the bogus information and uncaring attitude of the owners of this concern. read more
