I went to Hakim Optical in Marlborough Mall and had one of the most frustrating customer service…read moreexperiences I've had in a long time. The first saleswoman began helping me, but then got distracted and started talking to someone else, and never returned to complete the service. A second saleswoman stepped in and immediately tried to upsell me on two new pairs of glasses, even though I had brought my own frames and simply wanted the lenses replaced with my new prescription. On top of that, she made unnecessary comments about my face shape. In the end, they weren't able to complete the prescription at all. When I returned for a refund, it was more of the same. The first salesperson didn't seem to know what to do and had to ask the manager for help. The manager offered no explanation, didn't acknowledge me, and made no eye contact. Salesperson 1, called another staff member who found my frames, then wandered off again. When she returned, instead of focusing on the transaction, she kept asking me about my hair and then asked what I wanted -- despite the fact that I was clearly there for a refund. I said, "A refund," and she finally processed it. Honestly, I have no idea how this location stays in business. The lack of basic customer service skills was astonishing. Incidentally, I've purchased several pairs of glasses from Costco, and every experience has been the complete opposite: prompt, courteous, professional service. The staff are efficient, focused, and respectful and they don't make unnecessary personal comments.

Absolutely TOTAL garbage. Picked up my glasses (3 pairs…read more$1,300) The one pair was sitting crooked on me. Tina said, you just have to get used to them, they look good. Ok! wore the crooked ones for the day. Guess what? had to go back to have them adjusted. By adjusted I mean, the chick just bent and squished the arms....they are now my glasses that I lay on the couch with and watch TV (like I didnt already have enough of those) Transistional is none exsistant, have to wear an old pair of glasses for driving in the sun. What an absolute joke of a company. Had to add a star just to post, or there would be nothing

Called in to get pricing on lenses I got from this location a year earlier as the anti glare…read morecoating was already falling off. The first person on the phone quoted $400 and I thought it was a bit high. Called back two hours later and talked to someone else and got a price of $300. Brought a pair of frames to get new lenses put in. The technician in the back broke my frame trying to take the old lenses out. They seemed very eager and happy to recommend I buy a new frame from them. While looking at the very limited selection of frames at this location I found a pair that might be okay... they said they would give me $50 off because they broke my frame. When the sales associate looked into the computer for pricing after I had committed and they broke my frames all of a sudden the price was back up to $400! Keep in mind everything I got last year was in the system. So my information did not change.. I was getting the exact same thing again. The people who work here seem nice but its an illusion. Absolutely incompetent with information and trying to rip off customers. Be very careful with pricing at this location. Also do not trust the lab technician in the back. Took the frames they broke to the location I bought the frames and they were shocked that lenscrafters broke them. Don't do what I did and try and save a few bucks... they cant be trusted.
