My family and I purchased 5 pairs of prescription eyeglasses from Opti over the past 8 years…read more Needless to say I am happy with them. This shop carries some name brand frames, but this is just something it also does. It main strength is professional services. The store owners are a couple who are both licensed opticians. I usually start from deciding on a pair of frame. After this, the magic begins. The optician patiently observes how a frame sits on my face, uses a machine to measure the eye focal points, marks the focal points on lens. These markings ensure that I can see well when I wear the eyeglasses. When I pick up the frame, the optician carefully adjusts the nose piece and ear arms to ensure the focal points match my eyes. I can tell you that you cannot get this level of professional optical services from a salesperson. They also offer minor after sales services such as readjusting the ear arms, replacing the nose shoes, for free. The shop carries both famous and unknown lens. It carries both designer label and unknown frames. Their pricing on both frames and lens are competitive.

I keep coming back because of the amazing customer service from the two owners. They're always helpful, give good suggestions and their prices are reasonable. They have a variety of frames available from brand names to Asian brands. They're also willing to wait for you if you need to pick up your item a little after their closing hours. Just give them a call ahead of time and they can accommodate. One of the nice things about this store is that if you need an adjustment on your glasses down the road, Ie your glasses loosen up or it feels a bit tight, you can always bring it back and they'd be happy to adjust it for you for free. It's hard to come by good customer service nowadays!

In fact, a lady came after me and I said that they are busy and I was waiting and the lady goes up to an associate and was assisted immediately. This was really unacceptable and I asked another associate who said, "We are really busy" and I said, "That's no excuse to help three people who came AFTER me." She finally helped me next because I loudly complained. Terrible customer service. I don't normally get my glasses at Lenscrafters, I got to a mom and pop store - better pricing and better customer service. If I did not have to get the lens there because of my Meta glasses, I would not have gone there ever. It really made me appreciate the mom and pop shop I go to. Such great prices and service. Not Lenscrafters.

After 3 recent visits to pick up same it has been nothing but excuses and promises. We all travel for work and so delivery was critical. To date we have now received 4 of the 5 but my Dad still has got his 3 weeks on. After 25+ years of getting our glasses from Lens Crafters in Markville Mall we were told the hold up is with UPS because the glasses are now made in the USA. In the past we could see the technician fitting the lens on location. The service is now so poor I don't think we will be purchasing from them going forward.

********************************* UPDATES April 30.20…read more As I received my daughter's glasses on Apr 16,2020 , with the much appreciated help of mall management, I don't plan to revisit this case anymore. Now that a representative from the store decided to comment and defend their position after so many days, I feel the need to make my points clear, and with more facts. After reading their reply, two things that I notice are: 1) they still don't understand their customer and try to meet their needs. My need is to get my daughter's glasses as soon as possible. Yet, as professionals running an optical store, they are telling me my need is NOT a neccessity. They deny customer's needs, and they also deny their own profession. Regardless of what they think their best advice is (i.e waiting for the pandemic to be over before picking up the glasses), my ask is still the same - to take delivery of the glasses in whatever ways, and as soon as possible. They have repeatedly ignored and delayed that with various reasons. The entire case lasted more than a month, since I was notified about my daughter's glasses being ready at their store. Regardless of how hard they say they strived to make arrangement for the delivery, it took them almost a month to arrange for this. One may question just how hard they really tried. As a customer who paid for the glasses fully at the beginning, I believe I have exhibited enough patience by waiting that long, especially when most of the contacts that they claimed they made to me, were in fact initiated or made by me. In another words, I am the one who puts in the effort to chase after them. They rarely took the initiative to update and contact me. 2) they don't have sympathy for their customers. Everyone is going through and suffering (in various degree) in this pandemic, not just them. While they ask for understanding, they did not do the same to their customer. Is there even a word of apology / understanding here to their customer? All I read is points of defense. In the end, they may know their stuff, but they don't treat customers the way it should be. This is why I give them a low rating. I do hope that they can address this internally. Aside from that, this is to the store representative: please do not disclose customer's details, especially when it is medical related (ie. severity/degree of astigmatism), in public without customer's consent. UPDATES May 1.20 thanks for removing my daughter's medical info, this shouldnt be done in the first place, no one likes to get their private info post publicly, altho she is only a kid and wouldn't know. hope this wont happen again to me or to anyone else.

It takes me years before I decide to get new glasses. An amazing Groupon and a high Yelp rating led me here. You may have difficulty finding this place because of lack of signage but your efforts will surely be rewarded. As you enter the plaza (it's in the same plaza as Tim Horton's) look to your left and look for unit 222. Large store with lots of choices, a comfy couch for those who have to wait for the shopper to make up their minds, and lovely staff who are patient and accommodating. Nicole was such a great helper. She ask what I was looking for, notified me of all their sales, went over all the available options and prices, discussed the most cost efficient package for my situation, and gave me pointers on what to look out for when choosing glasses. She was patient and never pushy. I decided on a stylish pair of designer glasses that fit into my budget. The experience was quick and painless and rather pleasant due to Nicole's professionalism and warm personality. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to all my friends. TIPS: - Bring someone along who has good fashion sense to help you pick out your glasses. - Take pictures of you wearing the glasses instead of completely relying on the mirrors, believe me, it does make a difference. - Communicate with the salesperson on your likes, wants, limitations and needs.

In my many years or purchasing glasses I've never found a brand that is more comfortable and frames that are as durable as OGA. The current pair I'm wearing now are 4 years old and they could probably last another 4 or more. My prescription hasn't changed that much but it has changed slightly enough for me to get another pair. My last pair from here were sunglasses and the pair before where had Transitions ver 6. Pricing here is a little funny. The frames have price tags on them but the price you are quoted always is less than the "ticket" price. I paid for my pair upfront so I can get my receipt immediately and submit it for my benefit reimbursement. Since I've bought my last 3 pairs here I know I can trust them and that things will be just right. They had my measurements from last time so they didn't need to remeasure this time as my measurements were already stored on their computer system. I was in and out pretty quick which was good because I had somewhere to be right afterwards. With Transitions lenses they have to send them out to a lab which takes about a week which is fine because I have errands to run on the east end next weekend anyway.
