Update! I was hoping to give this place a good review, however things went a different route!…read more
I worked with Emily at 11:30 today, she went over the process of her game plan, I showed her some inspo, and we got started.
**Keep on mind, the bright blonde I have in the pictures was my before, I came in for a color correction, but my hair was NOT super patchy. Maybe in some places but you could barely tell, my hair was pretty consistently blonde. I toned and bleached my own hair before this, I came to a salon because it was too difficult and risky to at home again.
We were adding lowlights and toning the yellow down. I walked in understanding that we weren't going to get the results I initially wanted since this was a color correction and would take time, BUT I still expected results that are presentable enough for the public?
She had finally finished and my hair was a mix of a muddy purple/red/ and green? I kept calm, was direct about how I felt but still didn't want her to feel bad because it sounded like she wanted to cry. Mistakes happen, I get it. I kindly reassured her that thankfully it's just toner and not permanent!
She never apologized for the incident and kept blaming my hair for the incorrect result which I understand CAN be a factor, but you can tell by the photos that this is due to a lack of technique, I've been toning my own hair for a bit and i have not seen this kind of result at all.
She agreed to fix the issue, and said she wouldn't charge for the time to fix it since she charges hourly btw! Keep this in mind.
I remained patient, and allowed her to fix the problem. The ENTIRE time she kept blaming the product and my hair, which was making me more angry after I have been VERY VERY patient.
She couldn't get it out with clarifying shampoo so she did a bleach bath. While she was washing my hair she went and smoked a cigarette I'm assuming, for about 45-50 min?
She sounded completely defeated about this process, which I sympathized with because I've been there with customers, I do consultations as well. I still was VERY nice and understanding.
She finally blow dried it and showed me the results and it wasn't as bad, but still not even CLOSE to what I asked for, not by a long shot.
I told her my hair was VERY patchy, again blamed me! When I told her this was not what I was expecting she kept blaming me for not understanding, no ma'am! A tint of blue/ purple after toner is normal, your result makes no sense. I am not going to work like this, or anywhere LOL.
After showing me the results around 4pm, THIS TOOK 4.5 HOURS!! and still having the audacity to say "that will be $340" with no apology or remorse, AND charging me for the time she had to make to FIX the mistake.
I called the number listed on google, Emily answered the phone, I asked her for the salon managers number and she told me, "this is my practice and I handle everything, I'll write down your name and let the manager know you called" yeah sure LOL.
Reina is also a spazz, I called her assuming she was the manager, all she had to do was point me in the right direction, or give me the managers information. "What gives you the assumption that I'm the manager???" Is what she told me.
This place is a JOKE, I really wanted this to be my go to salon. I didn't get to eat lunch, I wasted my day off for this mess. Save your money.
