My smile after MASSETER BOTOX smiles downwards! I'm extremely embarrassed. This has taken a toll on my mental health as I work in a patients based setting at a dental office, i smile and greet all day! I've been informed that it will wear off but in 4-5 months. I originally asked for a top injector during the scheduling appointment, they recommended Alex. I've done Botox for years. I decided to try something closer to my house. Im angry, I'm upset, and I'm shocked that this practice is still allowing her to Inject here. I will be taking legal action. You don't hire nurses that claim they're experienced and can't perform masseter Botox properly. She doesn't draw on the face either with the dots. I'm concerned the Botox might be even expired or diluted incorrectly. They claim they only use "BOTOX" brand. I did my forehead here as well. Terrible results. I want my $$ back. I brought a Groupon for the Medium Package Laser Facial Hair Removal (6 sessions). I called to confirm, and it covers the upper lip (mustache area), lower lip, and underneath the chin neck area (beard area). On the Eyecandy website at the time of this writing, it costs $240 for the Medium Package without any coupons. The Groupon discount cut it down to $204, and after applying a Honey/CapitalOne Extension, the overall costs was ~$160, so PLEASE make sure to add these extra discounts. It's a really good deal for 6 sessions. Upon arrival, the front desk will ask you to fill out a consent form. The nurse who does the actual laser hair treatment will explain the process and was very upfront and honest about the procedure and pain. It feels like individually plucking your hair, if anyone doesn't know how that feels. It's a very quick, burning, stinging sensation. For males, I recommend you shave the morning of your appointment, rather than the night before. The smaller your hair length, the less painful supposedly. I shaved the night before, so it was more painful, but luckily, my hair doesn't grow as quickly as some other people. The nurse made me wash my face to remove any lotion. She applied aloe vera cream over my face and began treatment. I was done within 15 minutes. The process could take longer depending on your pain tolerance, but if you can just bear the pain and suck it up, you can do it just as quick. A few hours after the process, you will see inflammation and redding around the area. The real pain and effects come days after your procedure. I had a pimple/whitehead break out all over the area. (I'm talking like teenage puberty bad.) You will see a whitehead form and in the center is an individual hair strand. It showed up about 2 days afterwards and lasted for 2 weeks until it finally began to clear. Just do your best to maintain and clean once you are at that stage. I could not shave that area for 2 weeks because it was that painful, and I did not want to pop or cut myself with all the inflammation. I just washed my face with not-harsh chemical face wash and put basic lotion and Vaseline. You don't want it to clog more and the effected areas will leave dry patchy and flakey skin. Despite that painfully awful experience, I believe that is just how my body reacted. It wasn't the nurse's fault and that is what your body does. The consequences were mentioned beforehand and it is unfortunately a common reaction (based on online research and Reddit). I do see a difference in hair removal already even after my first session. I don't look forward to the other 5 sessions, but I know the end result will be worth it. (Excuse my ugliness from the pictures) read more

I'm surprised the rating isn't higher for this location but I see most are regarding the laser hair removal. My review is only based on laser TATTOO REMOVAL (black ink only). I claimed the 3 session package (below 5 square inches) which was $198 at the time. I paid below $400 for 6 sessions total. The first two sessions had little to no improvement. There was swelling but no bleeding, itching or peeling. I was coincidentally assigned to a different nurse after that and the results consistently improved after the fact. I began to lightly bleed immediately after each session and swelling would subside in 2-3 days and the itching / peeling in roughly a week or so. I also changed the intervals from once a month to once every two months. Come a few minutes early to your appointment for application of numbing cream. Pain for me was about a 6/10 on the wrist. The receptionists are amicable and the office is small and well kept. I highly recommend this place for laser tattoo removal! read more

This is for the EyeCandy Lash and Brow Bar- Buena Park location. Leaving a one star for my previous visit specifically. All my other visits have been good. I had a consultation on Friday, November 22nd. In that consultation, we had discussed doing PDO threads, the lip flip and Botox in my masseters for TMJ. Nurse Alex also went over all the pricing that I would pay. I was planning on doing the lip flip and masseters on that day, but I had asked if I can just do everything the same day that I come in for the PDO threads. I asked if I could use the same offers that we had discussed in the consultation. She said that was fine and sent me up to the front desk to schedule another appointment. On December 6th, I went in for my appointment and she went over pricing. And we discussed the Botox. Nurse Alex gave me another more expensive price. I let her know that we had discussed another price last time. She had quoted me the $380 which was a deal at the time. Now she said it was going to be $475. I reminded her about the deal that we had discussed in the previous consultation. She said my appointment wasn't for Botox in my masseters. The appointment scheduled was only for the lip flip and PDO threads. I told her that we definitely discussed the masseters. Nurse Alex looked back at her notes from the consultation and she saw that we discussed Botox in the masseters. Also, a side note, this is pretty much the only service I have gotten consistently here at this location. Nurse Alex went back to the front desk to ask the girls about the deal. She came back and said that she couldn't offer the same deal. She said the lowest we can do is $450, which is $70 more than the original discussion. I was pretty upset, but I was already there and had waited 2 weeks for it so I agreed. When I checked out in the front I got charged $375 for the Botox. The only reason they charged me that was because they thought I had a $75 deposit, when I actually had only made a $50 deposit. When she said I had a $75 deposit, I didn't say anything because they were about to cheat me by $70 anyways, knowing it was their mistake. Either way, they still got $45 extra out of my pocket. Lastly, while I was checking out there was a girl who had her head down on the front desk and was knocked out, sleeping. I also thought that was very unprofessional. They always have girls behind the desk doing random things. They're not working. They're either sleeping, doing their schoolwork on their laptops, or just on their phones. They're just unprofessional and they do not honor offers due to their mistakes and lack of communication between one another. I thought that was very unfair. I like how this place has deals on their Botox and other services, but they have other locations. I will no longer be coming to this location. I will try out other locations and see how they are. read more

Absolutely Terrible Med Spa! I've gotten botox here 4 times and every time I've gotten a bruise. Two times out of the four have been GNARLY bad. I've been getting botox every 3-4 months for over 6 years now and never had bruising like I got here. Only two bruises have ever happened to me before this place and they were tiny and easy to cover with makeup. The very first time here I was given a huge black eye! They appologized and gave me free units because of how bad it was. Afterwards I used a girl named Britney and she was pretty great. I got one teeny tiny bruise from her each time but nothing too bad at all. Now she apparently doesn't work there any more. So today they had me use Alex who is the "head nurse." She was so snarky and rude to me. Like a total know it all telling me I needed 60 units when I've been completely happy with 30-35 previously. I agreed to 45 today and I feel ripped off. She made me sign a waiver agreeing that I'd still have movement. So like it's not even going to work when I've been satisfied with less in the past? She did so many pokes just in each small area. I've never had someone do that and even when you watch videos of other injectors or people on TV it's always like 3-5 around each eye for crows feet. not 12-14! Look at my photos. She said right away she bruised me and I asked for ice and she said no! She said I could "put some on at home and it won't even help anyway." Um, I'm no dr, but I think it's common knowledge ice helps slow bruises in their tracks if you put it on right away. So today I not only have a bruise on BOTH SIDES but a huge welt on one side too. So I got a lash lift, first time ever getting something done and this was an amazing experience, super clean and tidy place with seperate rooms for all needs and appointments. Lash room was all the way at the end, had about 6-8 beds and each bed had pillows for under your legs for comfortability. My lash expert was Iris, super attentive and reassuring when it came to my questions and concerns. He had such a light touch and soft voice and so knowledgeable! I've been tinting my lashes since the late 80s. I've never had one of these issues occur. 6 issues in 1 appointment at Eye Candy. It was my first,& will be my last appointment. Staff was polite, the only positive,albeit important. #1: All clients (8 tables) are crowded into one small room. You see & hear everyone's everything. #2:I was directed to the far table to lay down.I lay down on a METAL bar under my shoulder blades! I wasn't expecting anything but comfort,but it hurt. I immediately sat up,expressed shock at something so uncomfortable & hurtful.I asked the young 'tech' what it was.She said it was the rolling bar for the messager,& said try moving up or down,& maybe it won't hurt then. Seriously? I had to address common sense telling her it's going to be uncomfortable whether it's under my shoulder blades,rib cage or neck. I had to ASK to switch tables. #3:Laying on another table now. The tech hasn't asked yet what color I want,but I wait for it. She places the first white skin-protective paper under my right eye. As she was preparing the second paper,I let her know my bottom right lashes were stuck under the paper.She replies,yes,it protects the skin from the tint. I'm aware,but my lashes are stuck under the paper & the tint won't reach them. She then tells me something I've NEVER heard of...it's intentional bcuz they only do the top lashes.I was in total shock!I thought I was being punked.I said I've had close to a 100 lash tints,& never heard of not doing both.I asked why? She gave a ridiculous answer,that it was to keep the tint from getting into the eyes. Firstly,if applied well,little chance of it & even if some should get in,it's easily & quickly resolved with little burn. Secondly,the top lashes are still receiving the tint & there's STILL a chance of some burning. I expressed how it makes no sense,as women get their lashes tinted so they don't have to deal with mascara for a while.What's the point of lash tinting only the top if you still have to put mascara on (the bottom)? She asked if I wanted to cancel.i said no bcuz it's too late to find another salon as I have an important event tomorrow. She spoke to another lady & not in english,which could be considered poor business (or rude) to not allow the customer to hear & be a part of the conversation. She tells me she will do the bottoms,too.I thanked her. #4: She places both papers under my eyes,& I'm still waiting for her to ask what color tint I want. She doesn't. I had to bring it up as she's starts tinting. I asked what color she was putting on (reply "black". I said I wanted blue black cuz it's darker & lasts longer. She says she's using black.I asked about switching to blue back, the color I want. She simply says ok,WHILE brushing the same tint on. She just said she's using black. She did not stop to change color to blue black,so I knew I wasn't getting blue black This didn't help me feel better about my first experience there. #5: She finished much sooner than any other tech. I could feel she wasn't getting the lashes very well,not going over them repeatedly to ensure lashes were tinted all around. #6: When the tech feels time enough has passed,they always give a nice effort to remove any skin stains & check for burning & clear excess tint around the eyes & under the lash roots. She dabbed my eyes a lil,asked if I was ok (burning),which I was,& that was it.I already knew the outcome wasn't very good. There was barely any tint used,I could tell the lashes didnt get wet.. Normally,the tech folds a lil slightly damp type- tissue for the client to gently place between lids to blink to get excess tint between the eye lid roots & lashes. Normally,a small amount of tint is seen when dabbing lashes. There was no damp anything,no tissue handed to me,no real effort to remove excess tint. But there was nothing needing to be wiped off. Nothing was moist.. When she showed me via handheld mirror,I was disappointed. I'm used to seeing popping BLACK lashes,top & bottom after a lash tint. There was barely ,if any,change to my blonde lashes. It certainly wasn't blue black. She kindly offered to redo the tint. I couldn't accept the offer as I had to work,but also,just wasn't confident or comfortable in the business. The tech was polite & kind,as was all staff. read more

This place is incredibly frustrating when it comes to scheduling appointments. This review is for laser hair removal purchased through Groupon. 6 sessions paid in advance I am on my 3rd session and have not seen much improvement + my under arms started producing body odor after starting my treatments here. Make sure to book ALL your appointments in advance. Laser hair removal requires reoccurring visits every month. Unfortunately, I have gone three months without treatment and have been rescheduled twice now (+one rescheduled because of me). PLUS they were 25 min late to the treatment they rescheduled me for The place is clean and workers are nice. I just wish scheduling was improved and more results in terms of treatments.
