My son's entire team is truly amazing, but Ms. Brittany S. is the standout star. She has been absolutely pivotal in my son's growth and success. Her ability to connect with him, support him emotionally, and help him navigate his feelings has made a meaningful difference not only for him, but for our entire family. Ms. Brittany has also been instrumental in supporting us through IEP meetings, school-related matters, and other important aspects of my son's life. She consistently goes above and beyond, advocating for his needs and ensuring he feels seen, heard, and supported. I am incredibly grateful for the work she does. Horrible service, very disorganized, and highly unprofessional management. Felt like I was rushed through things and services pushed.

I had a truly terrible experience here, from start to finish. This is long, so apologies in advance, but there's just so much to complain about here, I can't figure out how to make it any shorter. I was on a waitlist for Saturdays for speech therapy and they had a Saturday morning slot open up at 9AM. Our first session would be an evaluation at that time on 2/11. We went for our evaluation and when we were wrapping up, I said - so this is our standing appointment time, correct? We should come back next week, same time - Saturday 9AM? And she said, very clearly - no, I'm not sure about that, I don't do scheduling. You'll be contacted by someone from the office, wait to hear from them. So I waited. The week rolls by, I never hear anything - not from the office, not from the provider. Nothing to say, hey, here are some preliminary findings, yes we do think your child needs weekly services (or whatever). I mean remember - all I had was an evaluation - I haven't had anyone tell me definitively that my child needs speech therapy. So anyway. I hear nothing, and the following Saturday, at 9:15 AM, I get a call from Eyas Landing telling me I was a no-show for my 9AM speech therapy appointment for my child that morning. I said - wait just a minute. That is not fair - I was told that I did NOT have an appointment today, I was supposed to get confirmation from you, etc etc. The woman who called me was very nice. She said she would talk to the provider and call me back. And then... I never heard from her. 3 days later, I called Eyas Landing again, to say - what gives? You accuse me of being a no show and then said you'd look into it and call me back, but then I never heard anything, what's going on? Of course, nobody calls me back. A day later I get an email apologizing for "scheduling confusion" and telling me that in fact that Saturday time that had opened up was no longer available, and I can be put back on a waitlist. Ok, I responded to the email and said yes that's fine, and also - am I going to get a copy of this evaluation? Because it's now been 10 days since I came in and I have seen nothing. Via email I was told that they give their providers 2 weeks to complete paperwork/evaluations and that it hadn't yet been 2 weeks. OK, fine. Another week later (it's now been 2.5 weeks) I email to say, ok, can I get this evaluation? Because remember - they're billing my insurance for this service, but I have nothing to show for it. I was told yes, your evaluation is in your portal, you can download it from there. In the meantime, I have found another speech therapist, so I want that evaluation to provide to them. I go in and download the evaluation - and it looks... sloppy. It's full of typos. There are sections left blank. There are no goals listed. But I'm not a therapist, I'm just a parent, so I thought, let me give this to the new therapist and see if they are happy with it. I provide it to the new therapist and they tell me what I was expecting to hear - what I gave them was not helpful, nothing they could really use to form a plan of care - but unfortunately insurance would not cover another speech evaluation within a year. So... now what. I reach out to Eyas Landing and again speak to a very nice person (receptionist maybe?) detailing my issues - that the evaluation I have is really not well done, not helpful, missing goals, full of errors, etc. She takes all my information and says someone will call me, and of course, nobody does. A day later I get another email (this place loves to respond to my calls with emails!) saying - oh, sorry, looks like a working copy of the evaluation was uploaded to your portal. The ACTUAL evaluation was uploaded later and it's in there now. I respond to THAT email requesting a call - because thus far, every single time I have called and left a message, I get an email response. I don't want another email, I want to talk to a human. I was told sure, they can call me, and someone does, the next day, as she said she would. I have a lengthy talk with Krickett and I said - I'm not in the habit of just calling to complain, but frankly, I have had a poor experience through and through, I would never use you or recommend you, but it only seems fair to actually discuss this with you instead of just tearing you to shreds anytime I hear about you guys. She was very nice, very sympathetic, really seemed disappointed about our experience, explained that what happened to us was atypical and not the norm, etc etc. I also said - listen when I finally saw that "completed" evaluation, even that was shoddy - like it didn't include anything specific about my child's actual problems. Krickett said she would talk to the director and call me back because they don't want me to have an evaluation I can't use, she understands my position, they want to make things right. She will speak to her director and call me back. That was... 7 days ago. Never heard from her again. 1 star feels generous. read more

The camp therapists here get 5 stars. My son has had nothing but positive interactions with the various therapists he has worked with. At camp this summer, he worked with aster, Shaun, Jenny, and Ashley. Each of them took the time to really get to know him and help him. After four weeks of camp, the progress he made in certain areas is remarkable. Due to Covid, I was hesitant to send my son to camp this summer, but ultimately decided that he would really benefit from the camp and services. I was impressed with their Covid precautions and protocol, and I felt like they were doing a good job keeping everyone safe. The administration and scheduling is time consuming, takes a long time (especially compared to other similar places), and can be frustrating. If they streamlined the process, this would be a complete 5 star review. read more

when we first started at Eyas landing they were amazing and very efficient. Since we moved and moved back trying to get anyone attentions or service is ridiculous. I was told it would be a couple of days to call my insurance and when I emailed to check in i was told they were busy with other requests... not sure if this is because I don't have blue cross and blue shields anymore... Jalesa has not contacted me and its been over a week. I'm totally frustrated with this organization and do not want to hold it against the therapists as I am sure they are still wonderful. Eyas Landing is amazing. One of our twin boys needed help with his motor skills. Dr. Jessica T would come to our house every week to work with him. She is incredible. She always showed up on time, worked the full hour with him, always brought different things for him to try, reached out to us with suggestions even after appointments, and gave my wife updates after each session since she could not be there for them. My 3-year-old daughter began attending Blue Bird Preschool at Eya's Landing six weeks ago when her therapy through early intervention ended. She has global delays and has been receiving pt, ot, dt and st since she was 17 months old. While her early intervention therapy got her over some major humps, the progress we've seen in just six weeks at Eya's has been AMAZING. The leaps in her speech, purposeful play and self care have been astonishing, especially after seeing more gradual progress with early intervention. We are so grateful for the care and nurturing she is receiving at Eya's and we couldn't be happier about our decision to enroll her. I highly recommend Eya's Landing to anyone seeking the opportunity to really "double down" on therapy for their delayed little ones. read more

Eyas Landing is one of the most wonderful places ever. Laura Mraz and her staff are kind and caring! The facility is gorgeous! It's seriously 2 floors, and has multiple therapy rooms and gyms for the kids to play in! Parking can be tough, they they have such an efficient system to getting parents in and out fast with drop off in the back for preschoolers, and there's also a few parking spots in back of you need to stay longer. On top of everything else, my child seems to really grow each time she spends time with the staff and other children at Eyas Landing. I highly recommend this location to any parent considering preschool or occupational therapy for their child or pre-teen. read more

We had a terrific experience at Eyas Landing! Their therapies are cutting edge, beneficial, and everyone there really devotes themselves to their clients. From the director to the therapists to the support staff, Eyas Landing is a tight-knit, professional group. Our child benefited enormously from their therapies, both in-home through Illinois Early Intervention and in-clinic in Chicago. Their unique facilities covered everything a child needs, from swings to trampolines to art and sensory rooms. The biggest asset is the therapists themselves. I can't say enough good things about how brilliant they are about figuring out what each child needs and how best to get it for them...especially working on children accomplishing concrete goals. I can't say enough good things about Eyas Landing. The entire staff and Preschool teaching team (which includes the teachers, SP, OT and feeding therapy) has changed our lives, but most importantly changed our kids lives. They have impeccable communication with the parents with daily reports emailed to you. They answer all questions and concerns promptly. They are our 2nd family. My 3 yr old daughter has been receiving weekly speech therapy from Eyas Landing since the beginning of 2015. Let me start by saying the facilities at Eyas are top notch! During her speech session, not only do they have the typical games, puzzles and toys, but they get to go play in the gym - equipped with swings, a ball pit, trampolines, bean pits, ride on toys and more! My daughter is always excited to go to her sessions. They had an open house when they moved locations (they are no longer on 1436 W Randolph, but just a couple blocks north at 304 N Loomis) - and my 6 year old and 1 yr old also had a blast exploring their facilities. I had a hard time getting them all to leave! My daughter's speech therapist, Miss Mandy, is amazing. She has an apparent love for kids, and kids respond well to her. My daughter will do things for Miss Mandy that she would never do for me. Miss Mandy is always in tune with my daughter's moods and needs and adjusts her approaches appropriately. She has also been a great resource to me. She always reports to me after my daughter's session and tells me things I can do at home to help. If I have questions or concerns, she will always take a couple extra minutes to listen and help us find the right answers and resources. In June my daughter was diagnosed with mild autism spectrum disorder. First thing, we enrolled her in the Bluebird Day School and it has been wonderful! The school creates a welcoming, accepting environment for kids with all different challenges. The student/teacher ratio never goes about 3:1, and all of the teachers/therapists/assistants are top notch. They kids get daily daily ST, OT and DT, plus an actual preschool curriculum, with themes that change each session. They also do an SOS feeding time (where they help kids with sensory issues develop a tolerance for tricky foods). My daughter has progressed in so many areas through this program: She tries to express herself more, and is better at doing so. Her attention span has increased. She is more willing to try new things. But my favorite thing is that she has actually made friends - any parent of a kid with autism will understand what a big deal that is! I really can't say enough good things about this place. I am so grateful I found this place (on yelp :)). If you have a child with special needs, I highly recommend checking this place out! They have done so much for my daughter, and my family. read more

Eya's Landing has changed our lives in more ways than I ever thought possible in a mere 4 months. My son is in the Preschool program and has not only come out of his shell but his communication and ability to attend to tasks has increased ten fold. We are so impressed with not only their hands on multiple disciplined approach but just the overall kindness, love and passion these teachers and therapists exhibit every day with the kids. The small classrooms, therapists coming into the rooms to work with small groups, they even offer an SOS feeding program at lunch time...what's not to love?! My little guy has a ways to go but I couldn't imagine where we would be without the help of Eya's. Lastly, good people are a reflection of good leadership. You won't meet someone more honest and caring than Laura, the director. She knows her stuff and is always available to talk and discuss your child's progress and or needs. Eya's is a place that is like none other. If your child requires a little extra help or a lot, this is the place for you, you won't be disappointed. read more
