Everything was unorganized at the front desk, very little communication between staff and patient, the doctor was unprofessional, and the wait time was 3 hours on an early Tuesday afternoon. Went there for a quick test; The front desk woman could not care less about doing her job. Things were moving incredibly slowly, even if there were only two people ahead of me, it took almost an hour, especially given that people did not need more than five minutes of care each. From my experience they deserve 3.5 stars. Note that they do not make appointments -- walk ins only. The front desk staff were helpful and very nice. I showed up at 8am hoping to beat the rush. There were only 4 people in the waiting room with me, but the front desk said it would take 2 or 2.5 hours to be seen for pink eye. That seems excessive to me even if they only have one doctor in the office. I had to work, so I left. It was easier and quicker to go to the minute clinic at Walgreens. read more

So this is the designated Employee Heath for CTA bus Operator's to complete physicals and get cleared for work. I am very disappointed because as I went there to obtain a new medical card for DOT purposes. They misdiagnosed and said that I need to followup for a sleep study. After researching because I was confused and all my medical health remains the same I come to find out that the DOT requires neck circumference to be (Men - 17" and Women -16") well Im barely 16". Now I had go to a sleep study doctor who suggested sleep study is not warranted. As return to this facility, they refused to update my medical card back to 2yrs. And they said the doctor who diagnosed me no longer works there and I have to come back after 3mo. Waste of time and I believe they should follow DOT guidelines before diagnosis... read more

Dr. Kang is the worst. He doesn't listen to your concerns especially if you have a work injury. At that time the doctor doesn't work for you the dr now works for your company and the workers comp insurance. I was injured so bad I couldn't walk but his notes started I can go back to work. I expressed my concern and he stated, it wasn't his problem. He didn't lay one finger on me for my examination he just stood there. Look here by Illinois workers Comp law you are entitled to see two doctors. If you are unhappy on how you are treated. Seek an Injury Attorney. Trying to get an appt was tough. It's through an off site office. The people there are NOT helpful. However, I finally argued enough to have to call the location directly (while I was on 3-way) and the location had no problem giving me an appt at 3pm. They are open pretty late, so I don't why it was like pulling teeth to get a 3pm appt. on any date possible. AT this location, I did Physical Therapy. I got not long after my scheduled time, and the PT was pretty good. Taught me exercises that I could do at home, nothing great. I would recommend for short time PT. read more

Called to see what the wait time was. They told me 30 mins or less. So I came. After sitting for over an hour I walked to the front and they told me it was because their system wasn't working right and they couldn't put in my insurance information. Giving this place 2 stars ONLY because the ladies at the front desk were nice and they open at a reasonable time. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who is sick or in need of actual medical assistance. During my visit I received no actual diagnosis for my very apparent flu like illness. Absolutely horrifying experience! I used Concentra for my Immigration Medical Exam for my green card application. I first visited in April 2016, and after multiple visits, I finally received my sealed Form I693 in July 2016. When I went for my green card interview, the immigration officer said that the form was filled in completely illegible English, that the test results had not been interpreted and that the immunization record was not filled completely. That is ALL there is to the form. My green card application was not approved based solely on this reason - that the form was not filled correctly. This after spending hundreds of dollars on tests, and visiting the facility multiple times. I now have to go back to the same center, and will have to sit with them to make sure that the form is filled correctly a second time. For most people this may be a trivial issue, but for me, this green card approval determines whether or not I can stay in this country with my husband. So the incompetence of this facility is the only reason why my green card is not approved. If you are visiting Concentra for this purpose, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. read more

Recently went in as I thought I was dealing with lingering sinus issues and since I couldn't get in to see an allergist for weeks, I made a visit in hopes of more immediate relief. Dr. Kang really seemed interested in getting to the root cause of the issue as opposed to just throwing medicine at me, which was a welcome response. After learning that my primary care physician is out of town and his office could not see me for another 5 days, I was desperate for alternative options. I turned to Concentra on Lake Street because it happens to be walking distance from my office. I felt compelled to leave a positive review based on three factors. 1: I felt the doctor genuinely wanted to help me feel better. I didn't feel rushed and he asked all the questions I'd expect a doctor to ask. He further asked how my primary care physician handled this illness in the past. Even taking it a step further, he spoke with me the following morning on the phone, since I wasn't feeling any relief. 2. All the staff was professional and quick with paper work. 3. The overall length of visit. I was seen by a doctor after a small wait. I would not consider the time I waited long for any doctor's office, especially since I was a walk in. Once I was in a patient room, the Dr. came in within 5 minutes. For anyone in a similar situation, I would recommend this location. read more

This is the most unprofessional experience I've ever had in a medical setting in my entire life. To begin, I called to make sure they took walk ins. They told me to come right on in and that it shouldn't be a worry. As soon as I got they (20 minute walk) they denied my entry because I said I had a stuffy nose. Mind you, this is a doctors office. After they eventually let me in, I was charged a $75 copay (this is fine) and then waited 2 hours to be seen by the doctor. Once seen by the doctor, he spoke with me for less than 2 minutes, and said he was going to have me do a rapid COVID test. After disappearing for another 20 minutes, a nurse comes in and says that the COVID test is $85. They are free or way cheaper everywhere else. I refused and asked for a refund on my copay since I never got any doctors assistance. They refused. I will never go back there. This place is horrible. The staff is rude and they don't know what they're doing. read more

I clocked in at 12:51PM on a Tuesday and out at 03:34PM for a Coast Guard physical and drug test. Yes, they are friendly but this was a VERY long wait. I'm now calling to see if I can pick up my results and had to hold for 7 minutes before someone spoke to me, then put me on hold again to find my results, so a total of 12 minutes. And I'm a private patient that paid $154.00 for this service. The work gets done but it requires a lot of patience. read more

I went in for a follow up visit to have my arm looked at after the tb test. That did not take long. They lost me as a customer when they lost my paperwork which needed to be turned in to hr at my job. 1 hour and 15 minutes to get a piece of paper with illegible scribbling is too much time wasted. Concentra is great! The staff here is wonderful and help you with everything you need. The staff does a great job of communicating wait times so you know how long you will be in the center. As far as Urgent Care facilities go, (aside from the one I went to in SC that gave you free soda and snacks), this is my favorite. I'm currently going here for worker's comp PT, and even though it takes me an hour and a half to get here, I don't mind. Everyone I have come in contact with (front counter staff, doctors, therapists, nurses) are very nice, proffessional, and knowledgable. (Not just to me, as I watch them interact with each other and other patients.) I've seen them deal with some rather difficult people, (which sometimes is to be expected...sometimes not), and they maintain their proffessionalism. They accomodate me when I'm late (...which is frequently) and my paper work is done and I'm out within minutes. I feel that when I'm here, they care, and I think that's missing in a lot of places where you are just another face. I think I would still go out of my way to come here if other issues arise outside of work. I came here yesterday after suffering at Stroger for 2 hours without so much as one person seeing me or checking on me (which is typical I hear...). I don't have insurance right now as I'm in that 90 day window at my job where I don't have benefits. Anyway... There was available parking (free) and as soon as I walked in I had 3 ppl greet me and ask how I could be helped. I signed in and filled out some paperwork and was brought back within 10 minutes of sitting in their very clean waiting room. I was seen first by a tech who was competent towards my needs and made me comfortable. The PA-C I was seen by was fantastic. She was very honest with her Dx of my problem which was very limited bc I could get Ultrasound or CT there, and without insurance I'd be paying a lot out of pocket. She made me feel at ease, ruling out any emergent illness, and she offered me what she could to ease my mind and manage my current symptoms. She even gave me printed information of a family medicine clinic, who does ultrasound, and takes payments on a sliding scale. I work in healthcare an I know this was by no means part of her job, she went above and beyond to insure I got my money's worth. She explained everything to me beforehand and did not try to convince me to have any costly, unnecessary testing done. For anyone with or without insurance, who may not have PCP, I would recommend this facility. read more
