This particular location is conveniently located right halfway between San Antonio and Houston. They have a Taco Bell location attached to their main building, but also offer other already prepared meal options. The bathrooms are located on the right side of the building. The women's bathrooms does not have as many stalls as compared to other Pilot Travel Center locations so keep that in mind if you are stopping here during a busy time. When you visit make sure to sign up for their rewards points so you can save on gas and other items. They also offer a 10% military discount on items you purchase inside their store.

Saw a cool baseball cap I considered purchasing--no price. I did like that it wasn't as crowded as its competitor. This gave us the opportunity to browse without the crowds. It tasted so good I had hubs go get me a large size one since I didn't eat a normal lunch and it was past 5 pm. While I waited in the car with the grandpup. I wanted to find some Bucee items for Doc since she's been our road trip driver plus made all the arrangements for hotels, tickets to parks, dinner show, etc. We all got different things: hubs got small bags of jerky, Doc got her favorite brisket sandwich to share with her Frenchie, a sausage on a stick and 3 peach cobblers for each of us to try. Our lunch consisted of brisket sandwich, chicken tenders & fries, and the three meat sandwich. I'm pretty sure their meat is not a true cut of brisket. Its consistency is like mush, and not like muscle fibers. There was nothing lean brisket vs fatty brisket. The brisket had holes throughout, making it look even more like an ultra processed deli meat or even lab grown. I was disgusted, to say the least. They also have ZERO options for people conscious of the ingredient lists. We bought popcorn and the bag was open at the bottom. I opted the top and it was super stale. I realized it was open on the bottom and the store game me a hard time about exchanging it. It's pretty clear the sealing process failed for this bag. We won't be shopping here anymore, nor will we eat their food. But if you're visiting Texas and come across one, it's a fun stop to pass time.

Well $500 was charged for the housing of the thermostat. I was like cool least it will work now. So I thought... I was stranded on a highway in the dark with the vehicle over heating again. Which was the same issue I had cavendars look at and fix. So took the vehicle back to them and they put it on the pressurizer system and only found a small leak in the lower radiator hose. You would have thought they would look at the system as a whole in its entirety to make sure it was fixed properly. Well made an appointment to get that issue fixed and another $300 later the car is still leaking coolant!!! They will be hearing from my lawyer.

That did not happen and was never called to let me know that the part was not there even though the appointment was made 30 days prior. I was given every excuse that you can imagine and was told the part would be there that evening and they would start on it the first thing the next morning. Well that did not happen either and was told all kind of reasons about why it did not get there. Again was not called to let me know the part did not arrive and given more excuses. I was told by "the general manager" (ha ha) that it would be done first thing the next morning. Guess what that did not happen either so I went to pick up my truck and the battery was not able to start the truck and they jumped the truck and was told by the "general manager" not to shut the truck off because it would not start again. Had the battery tested and it is still a working battery and has been shut off many times. So this should tell you what you are dealing with at this dealership.

The driver, knowing we were from out of town, called a friends in Luling, TX that had a tire store, The owner opened his shop for us and replaced my tires because they were all old and I didn't want to take a chance of another blowout. I was back on the road a few hours later. I was amazed and thankful to the D&T driver for his diligence and to Smiley's Tire store.
