I have stopped here several times while passing through on my way to San Antonio area. They have upgraded since I was here for Labor Day weekend in 2023. You can see the pictures for how they've redone the bathroom and part of the interior. When we stopped last weekend, they were adding a shaded area. Will be stopping here again. This is a great Love's! We stop here regularly and have seen lots of changes over the years. Most recently they added a cover over 1/2 the dog park (may have also enlarged the dog park, I'm not sure). Inside is a nice selection of hot food, prepared food, drinks, snacks, and items for truckers. Great bathrooms too! read more

I'd love to avoid this place in the future. Now that Buc-ee's has gone in across the highway, there's not a lot of reason to come to this Love's anymore! Even if you're headed westbound on I-10, and the Love's is on your side of the freeway, it's a pain to get back on the highway- you've got to head down I-90 and then take a turnaround to get back on I-10. It's honestly easier to go under I-10 and go to the Buc-ee's on the other side. This place is generally dirty. It looks like it needs a good power washing. The gas was sufficient, and roughly the same price as the place across the highway. It looked run down. There was a good amount of traffic coming through here, and the place was well-lit with wide aisles to move oversized vehicles to the gas pumps. read more

We are fans of Love's in general, but this was nice for its fenced dog park. Not large but well-grassed, with benches to sit if needed, and enough room for our corgis to wander and stretch their legs on a longer road trip. As always, the bathroom were in good shape, and the toilet closets are almost fully enclosed, for a little respite from the chaos (as Love's are almost always busy). read more

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!!! Management would rather talk down on you or talk bad about you behind your back rather than motivate you or help you do better. Shift leads and management will play favoritism. Seen an employee call for help and manager just asked them how the employee could fix the problem rather than come help the employee. read more

This is not Buc-ee's, which is on the eastbound of Highway 10. But it is sufficient for everything you need. Friendly service, clean bathrooms and everything was fully stocked. I even found bargains like at discount store on the shelves. There is a huge truck parking area on the left of this travel stop. If you look around, there are 2 ways to get out to the roadway. Why do I love Love's Truck Stop rather than the Buc-ee's across the street? Because Buc-ee's is greedy with their consideration on drivers that drive to and from out of town with a bunch of bug crap on their windshield and provide 6 ft squeegee worth handles to clean your windshield, Buc-ee's you are out of luck if you need that there and probably will pay about $3 for a roll of paper towel and $5 for Windex. read more

Be very leery when buying Texas Lotto tickets here or anything else. We went and paid $9 for 3 separate tickets and they only put 2 of them in our bag. They put the items in the bag and my husband asked for it to be stapled since he bought our daughter 2 items and wanted her to open the bag. We called and they remembered my husband and remembered he bought 3 tickets but don't know how only 2 ended up in the bag. They clearly stole from us. i Am a Retired Military/disABLED Veteran & i made the mistake of stopping here for a Restroom break! I've driven from Houston en route to Austin to visit my Daughter and sit with her Dog. The Women's Restroom was disgusting, one of the commodes was full of paper and urine, and not usable! So there was a wait! And i wasn't the only one who had to wait! Afterwards i was browsing some cute merchandise, and was actually looking at the price tag, when a store employee told me rather abruptly, "Excuse me, Ma'am, can you move out of the way so they can unload?" Omg! I walked out, got out of the store and merchandiser's way, and am CHOOSING to NOT purchase this hat after all. Besides, i was "in the way"! Where is YOUR Customer Service, Ma'am?!!! read more

,- well, up to a minute ago- a weary, stranded, tired traveller. Hard times hit a few months back and Love's has treated me as a valued customer and human being. I will be a customer for life, due to the outstanding treatment I received during my hardship: I wasn't harassed for my extended stay. On the other hand- on the mean side of I-10, I was informed by a Buccee's henchman that stays over couple of hours on their lot was unacceptable. My vehicle is denitely not an eyesore and I do not exhibit the infamous lot-lizard set of behaviors. The night-staff donated showers to me on different occasions. I was welcomed with kindness and friendliness. The day staff invited me to sit inside to do paperwork and gather my thoughts. I will not forget the compassion shown to me during my life crisis. Also, the parking lot and gas area are clean and safe, in my opinion. Additionally, the bathroom is emaculate and the store is well lit and the merchandise is appealing. I suggest Love's to any traveller that wishes to be treated as a valued asset instead of a number. Thank you Love's for showing LOVE. In addendum read more

Its in a convient and great location, variety of groceries and accessories to stock up on. Bathrooms are filthy, floors we're dirty and restroom could stand a cleaning. Maybe we visited at a invaluable cleaning time, Loves normally are great in recognition to there cleaning of bathrooms and showers, since it is a trucking stop. Cashiers we're super friendly, and attentive to customers needs, transactions we're quick which kept the lines moving. This location also has spacious parking, and a Subway inside of the facility in case you need to grab a bite to eat. It serves it's purpose of value to being one of the best trucking stops, just need to attend regularly to the women bathroom more often. By the way, gas was at a reasonable price versus other surrounding locations. read more

Credit card data stolen from fuel pump. Don't get fuel here. After fueling, went in to find filthy restrooms and one register open. Waited five minutes for the person working the register to figure out how to charge a fuel man card for the guy in front of me. Several of us waited a bit, then we all gave up. No comparison to Buc-ees which is across the freeway but when nature calls you have to go.

I had a choice between Buc-ee's or Love's when I needed gas and a bathroom break on the way to San Antonio from Houston and visa versa. They are located across I-10 from each other. I had always stopped at Buc-ee's on all my previous trips. But I got tired of the chaos at Buc-ee's, so I gave Love's a shot today. It was easy getting in and out of the parking lot. There was no dancing around trying to get to a gasoline pump. No traffic jam inside the store or around bathrooms. So the bathrooms were not up to par with Buc-ee's, but I am ok with it. Basically, Love's is a truck stop with limited food options that a family may not be comfortable in. But at no time did my family feel unsafe. My family prefers Buc-ee's because of cleaner bathrooms. If traveling alone, I will stop at Love's. Oh, gas prices are the same at both locations. read more

Yikes, there is a noticeable difference between the patrons of Loves and the large Beaver establishment across the freeway. One step into Loves and I'm surrounded by outlaws on the run. I didn't dare use the restroom facilities (your better off sitting on your throne across the freeway), and the majority of packaged refreshments are typical "munchie" snacks. There appears to be a deli sandwich counter and a hot dog stand. I skipped the dog, grabbed a bag of munchies and got the heck outta dodge.
