I sent my car in to get a check engine light checked out. They let me know what the problem was but I opted to bring my car to my regular repair guy to fix because their price seemed super high. They then charged me over $100!! To not fix anything!! I said my check engine light was on and wanted to know what was wrong. If they needed to do more than use an electronic reader to see what the check engine code was they should have told me ahead of time about need for (and cost of) further diagnosis. Edit: Scott (the owner) called me and apologized, saying they should have let me know about the cost of diagnostics up front before performing the work and they issued a refund. I appreciate the communication and customer service after the fact, but still wish this had been handled better from the get-go. Their price was still 500%+ higher than my guy who does car work on the side is charging for it, and while I get that they have shop costs, workers, warrantees and whatnot to cover they still seem to consistently run a significant amount higher than other shops. ($62.23 for the part which costs $25 to buy myself from AutoZone is over a 200% mark-up alone...) read more

Having already received a diagnosis at Honest Auto in Roseville of a broken front left abs sensor, I asked Exxon service manager Robert Ellis to replace it, which he gladly did. While H.A. had claimed the sensor was "seized" to the steering knuckle -- thus requiring replacement of both parts, and a $1500 bill -- Exxon was able to remove and replace ONLY the sensor. When he did so, Robert promptly called me, saying the abs light was still on; he then recommended replacement of the front right sensor, also, which he (and H.A.) had said was rusty. That solved the problem, as the abs light went off. For replacement of both front sensors, Exxon charged me only $457, which included a $72 online coupon that Robert applied, that I hadn't even known about. H.A. had wanted to charge me $1500 for only one new sensor -- and the unnecessary replacement of a perfectly functional part -- which would not even have solved the full problem. This review is regarding the Service Station/Mechanics only... DO NOT COME HERE. Until today (7/19/19), I've been a customer for at least 7 years, bringing my vehicles to get maintenance work done.... 1.) A few months back, my TPS was going off even though I bought brand new tires - roughly 4 months old (got them from a different place for a lower price). I bring it in and Rick assesses the situation, puts the truck in a bay, lifts it up and checks out at all 4 tires... Tells me the front passenger tire was just low on air, and fills it back up for me. No charge. Nice, right? 2.) About 2 months later, my TPS goes off again. I'm out of town, so I run to a station that has air so I can check the tire pressure. RICK TIGHTENED MY VALVE STEM COVERS SO TIGHT I COULD NOT GET THEM OFF TO CHECK THE AIR. Found a tires plus close by, wheeled in the truck and asked the guys for help. It took them (no lie) 15 MINUTES TO GET MY VALVE COVERS OFF, AND ENDED UP HAVING TO STRIP 2 OF THEM. Upon inspection, they noticed the one valve stem (front passenger tire) needed to be replaced, as it was slowly leaking air - hence why my TPS was tripping. They make sure my tire is good to go, give me new valve covers (no charge), and I'm on my way... 3.) Yesterday (7/18/19) I picked up a screw in my front passenger tire (yay Minnesota construction). I'm close enough to Exxon, so I go there. I'm greeted by a man who asks what's wrong, I tell him I picked up a nail or a screw... He walks out to my truck, finds the screw and says, "No, we can't repair that." I ask him if he's sure it can't be fixed, he tells me no way... The screw wasn't in the sidewall. It wasn't even CLOSE the sidewall... it wasn't a huge screw. It was in the tread. He has a guy put on my spare, no charge, and I'm on my way to the place I bought my tires from.... which is 45 miles away. 4.) I find out today (7/19/19) from the place I brought my truck (45 miles away from Exxon) the tire could be plugged. IT COULD HAVE BEEN PLUGGED AT EXXON! I ultimately drove 45 miles on a spare to find out Exxon could've helped me all along. But, my guess is: Because I'm a woman, a damsel in distress, a lady wearing a dress, I should get the runaround... or maybe it's because those mechanics didn't have a plug set - perhaps they didn't have the time to help a long term customer? Went in a couple weeks ago to get my oil changed, ended up having to get my front breaks done and some other stuff as well. They replaced my license plate lights for free and also gave me $20 off of my air filters being replaced too. Had to come back to get my AC looked at because it was not working, was told it would be done in about 3ish hours, but ended up being done in an hour. They are very fast and efficient. Definitely recommend coming here for any car problems. read more

The gas station doesn't maintain the receipt printers, which forces customers to go inside. I've given feedback multiple times. Clearly it's not important to management. I haven't used the service and repair. The car wash is very good. read more

The Good: They got the work done (, an oil change,) and even gave me the lower price, I was quoted over the phone, even though that price was less than the coupon price I had. You get a free drink when waiting for your car to be worked on. The Bad: The WIFI, in the waiting room, was broken and not steps were taken to fix it. The Ugly: The waiting room is terribly small, dirt, cluttered with boxes and right near the bathrooms. The 'gentlemen' waiting there with me was watching a four letter word laced show on his tablet blissfully ignorant of normal social mores and the existence of the new, space age invention, known as 'head phones'. ( I cannot really blame Exxon for this last thing, thus the 4 stars for my review, but it helpful to know that their clientele are not the country club set. ) read more

Highest wash doesn't clean your car. Doesn't rinse off the soap. Absolutely awful, and a waste of money.

My car came off the track at the car wash, which ruined my bumper. I used to have them routinely service my car too, until my breaks were metal on metal. Despite servicing my car the month before, they never told me they needed replacement. After they replaced them, they haven't stopped squeeking. They have been horrible to deal with and I would never give them my business after these experiences. read more

I have gone here for the last 4+ years. They have always done a really nice job and I haven't had many issues. I have only once dealt with one guy who wasn't very sure about much but he was working the counter. I would recommend this place. They are friendly and so far trustworthy. Although it's definitely not the most comfortable or luxurious waiting area the staff are all very kind and the work was done in a decent amount of time. There are even coupons to make the oil change cheaper (I got mine from a cub foods receipt) and they gave me a free car wash code good for 30 days. DO NOT COME HERE!!! The front dest is very rude and arorogant. I had my van fixed on Friday. It was late and I picked it up on Monday. I different guy without reading carefully, he gave me wrong expaination about the charges. I told him my discussion with the other guy on Friday. He told me "I can not trust what a customer told me. He also told me "I will ask you leave if you argue with me". Eventually, it was found "Evetyingthing was OK. He gave me wrong information and wrong expaination." I brought my 2006 Chevy here to get my brakes looked at because I had heard something that was not right. After inspection, they told me I desperately needed front and rear brake pads and rotors, etc... The bill would be around $1,000.00 dollars, but since the guy wanted to get me the best deal, he told me he had a coupon that he could give me that would knock about $100.00 off. I told them I would think about it and be back, but they warned me, don't drive it to much or it would get worse and more expensive. I brought it to a local Chevy dealer in the area, they told me I only needed my rotors spun and I would be back on the road in no time. I got the bill, it was about $900.00 less than Exxon quoted me!!! I have to say the only thing that these people are good at is ripping people off, I mean if they were expert mechanics, they surely would have known that I did not need all that work done! I had three oil changes and a tire rotation done here within the past year because I had pre-paid coupons. From the third visit (7/12/15) there doesn't seem to be any problems, but from the earlier visits I had oil dripping from my car because they did not tighten the bolt enough, and my wheels were wobbly because those bolts weren't tightened properly. If they are not getting basic things like that right, I would not trust them with my car. read more
