The car wash card reader returns a message that 'the amount is too small'. This is a problem when buying the most expensive car wash, 9 dollars. Clearly this is either bad management or a bad business plan. (Broken card readers = bad management)
To make matters worse, the unconcerned and rude clerk told me that 'she didn't do it'. A proper response would be to tell the customer that she'd let someone know about the problem.
But the piece de resistance was that she told my husband, who was standing right there, that it was probably a problem with my account. He was using the same account to buy stuff. So, not only was she rude, but she was disdainful of a customer who just wanted to, gasp, spend money.
She obviously didn't know my husband from any other stranger. This means that she was comfortable talking to strangers about other customers. Neat.
