Taco shells are always so thick and soft at the same time. The meat is always so freshly cooked perfectly seasoned and moist and tender. The onions and peppers are firm and moist at the same time and always perfectly cooked as well. The staff is very hard-working and helpful and it just kind of has a small town gas station feel when everybody can come in and get quality food. It's surprising how much food they can put out of such a small kitchen in the corner of a gas station but it just tells you the power of American ingenuity. These places are 10 times better than regular fast food joints and the employees always seem very hard working and happy to see you. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and they will never disappoint!

It's a clean 7-Eleven, inside and out. The inside has your typical selections of snacks and drinks and maybe a little larger than a typical 7-Eleven. I did try a hotdog once and the buns are cold and fall apart. Also had a slice of pizza and I would never do that again. Just stick to the pre-packed food/snacks if you have to get something. My biggest complaint though is the gas pumps and no receipts. This is a ploy many stations use to force you to come into the store and thereby, more than likely get you to buy something. There is NO reason for the gas pumps to be out of paper and/or not dispense receipts right at the pump. But again, if you want a receipt, they force you to go inside, wasting time and of course, in hopes you will purchase something else. There is another gas station within 2 minutes of this 7-Eleven right on 281. They have the same prices but you will get a receipt at the pump. If you aren't someone who needs a receipt, this is certainly a convenient place to stop off. But, if you have to keep receipts, as many do these days, for now, I would avoid. Hopefully in the future they will keep the paper stocked and stop forcing customers into the store.

Round Rock finally got its own Beer Geek, and this location feels like the slightly more polished…read moresibling in the family -- same craft‑beer‑obsessed DNA, just dressed up a little for the suburbs. If the Manchaca store is the "chaotic good" version of a beer‑forward gas station, this one is the "we cleaned up for company" version. What makes this spot dangerous (in the best way) is the beer selection. They carry craft beers you simply don't see at most places -- the kind of cans you usually have to hunt down at specialty shops or hope your beer‑nerd friend has in their fridge. Singles, four‑packs, Texas breweries, rare drops, seasonal releases... it's all here. You walk in for gas and suddenly you're holding a small haul like you blacked out in the beer aisle. And the snacks? Listen. When a place casually stocks fried crab Lay's, you know they're not playing around. This is the kind of snack you normally only find at international markets or in someone's suitcase after a trip. Beer Geek said, "Why not both?" and honestly, I respect it. Inside, the store is clean, bright, and organized -- not the usual "gas station chaos" energy. Staff is friendly and actually knows the products without giving you that condescending craft‑beer lecture. It's approachable, curated, and easy to browse. There's no tap wall at this location, so this is more of a grab‑and‑go situation than a hangout spot. But for what it is -- a place where you can fuel up, grab a genuinely good beer, and maybe discover a snack you didn't know existed -- it nails the assignment. If you're in Round Rock and want a spot that lets you top off your tank and your fridge with something worth drinking, this is it. I'll definitely be back, probably telling myself I'm "just grabbing one thing" and then walking out with a bag full of beer and crab‑flavored chips. It happens.
