On March 23, 2023, I brought my F-150 in because it had a water leak; this Shell Station auto mechanic told me the AC UNIT was leaking.
This gas station auto mechanic said we could fix this the right way for $2,200 or the cheap route for $400.00. He stated the correct way to fix it was to remove the dashboard steering wheel, cut some wires to access the leaking AC unit lower valve, and replace the gasket.
Then this auto mechanic stated that the cheap fix would be putting silicone around the lower AC UNIT valve for $400.
This conversation occurred next door (900 Richmond AVE) at 3:35 PM when I initially dropped off my F-150 that morning. BUYERS BEWARE
Today, March 28, 2023, I took my F-150 to my local auto mechanic shop (Crossview Dr, Houston, TX), and they said they had never heard of removing the entire dashboard to replace a leaking AC unit gasket with confused looks on their faces.
They ran the AC unit diagnostics, checked for leaks, inspected the vehicle, and determined the windshield was leaking. I'm glad I DID NOT pay this lying auto mechanic $2,200.00. BUYERS BEWARE.
Sincerely,

Some of this was captured on my F-150 Dash cameras (For legal purposes),
because people lie and video cameras don't.
