During my visit I must say I had a pretty good experience. It does tend to get busy depending on the day, but the staff handled the rush really well and got orders out quickly and efficiently, which I definitely appreciated. I ordered the shrimp fried rice along with five regular wings and a peach drink that was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. The fried rice was flavorful with a good portion of shrimp, and the wings were cooked just right with a nice crisp to them. The peach drink was refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. Put it the freezer before lol drinking it iykyk. As for the ambience, it's pretty casual and straightforward nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable enough to enjoy your food without any issues. Overall, solid service, good food, and efficient staff. I'd definitely come back again to try something on the menu, especially when I'm craving something quick and satisfying.

In the short few years since my initial review, there have been numerous changes that now require…read morean update. Jollibee is still more popular than ever and these four stars are really for what I hope they'll stand to achieve, not what they've been as of late. :: Red Ribbon is of no more (#1) and now Jollibee stands practically alone in its own little corner of the plaza. Instead Baker's Son By Valerio (#2) across the parking lot has become the pseudo Filipino carb hotspot that is resonating well with the community. :: Things are more expensive than ever. A 10 piece is practically $25 and family meals (aka bucket treats) are anywhere from $39-53. In spite of being one of my most made-up words in review form, Foodflation deserves another mention because it absolutely applies here. :: They now have mac and cheese on the menu. It has the same consistency as Popeye's or KFC, which is really not good. it's salty, tastes artificial, and is paltry in portion, especially when considering the price. :: They are also slower than ever. Even when there isn't something happening at NRG, the wait has been as long as 45 minutes for group and I, and even longer for a large order. This is for both takeout and dining in. For drive-thru goers, one will be directed to an open parking spot where they'll eventually bring the food out. :: For folks needing points via the app, it can only be applied using a phone number. They have no ability to scan anything on the app itself. It's just a tinge backwards. The other Jollibee locations are better in terms of execution, but this just happens to be the only one inside the loop. Location is not everything. __________ (#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz/red-ribbon-bakeshop-houston-3 (#2) https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-bakers-son-by-valerios-houston

In the past, I never understood the Jollibee hype. Being a Filipina, I know that's unusual... But,…read moreI do appreciate it much more as of late. It's been YEARS since I've visited a Jollibee, and it seems both the individual locations and the brand as a whole have made a lot of upgrades and changes for the better! The kiosk ordering system is a nice convenience, and (specific to the Houston restaurant) the establishment has been renovated for a more modern & minimalist look. Also worth mentioning: The restaurant was clean, and the crew was organized and efficient. Go, H-Town! Now, the food: I don't dislike the spaghetti, but it's still not my cup of tea... I still can't wrap my head or my tastebuds around the sweet & sugary sauce, and the addition of fatty hot dogs just don't do it for me. The adobo rice is overrated, in my option... a lot of garlic and salt, but missing the essence of adobo. I'll also pass on the biscuit next time (dry and didn't have much going on). However, I totally get why the fried chicken has become so viral! Super crispy, but not greasy. Great flavor & seasoning without being obnoxiously salty (think Popeye's cousin who went to college). And, thanks to TikTok, I enjoyed a chicken skin taco (skin stuffed with rice and drown it in brown gravy). Yummmmm! ChickenJoy is definitely where it's at.

Let me begin by saying the atmosphere of the store was best described as abandoned. No one at the front to greet and no patrons. There was no music or sound at all in the entire restaurant which was a little creepy but it was late so we figured it was close to close (they didn't close for five hours we later found out). When we got our food we were incredibly disappointed, one hot dog was missing key components and the elote was true crime to humanity. I genuinely don't know how you can be a business in Houston and not know how to make a elote. It had almost no Mayo on it and had Parmesan cheese....they also had some toppings listed as options (specifically the pickled red onions which were a main part of the brisket dog) which they were out of stock of. The attendant told us specifically "we don't have that at this location". The saving grace of the meal were the bottled beverages which were incredible, but also entirely not of the establishment and I don't want to credit them with another businesses hard earned rave review. Overall we are rarely disappointed by hot dogs, an item in and of itself which is hard to mess up. Now looking at other yelp reviews it seems we aren't the only ones who were expecting a little more. We won't make a repeat visit, but hopefully the business can attempt to fix some things for other patrons in the future.

The drive thru line was wrapped around so I placed an order to go inside. The restaurant was moderately busy for a Sunday and was clean and well decorated. The prices were reasonable- with a variety of options including seafood, wings, plenty of sides and desserts. I opted for the combo plate with 2 fried catfish filets and 10 shrimp served with fries and a roll. It took about 20 minutes since everything is made fresh and it was well worth it! Everything was crispy, hot and seasoned well (though the fish could have had a weensy bit more). The Joes Berry Lemonade was a nice refresher to wash it all down. I will absolutely be coming here again.
