The station had a convenience store, which was well stocked and very clean. There didn't seem to be any trouble makers hanging around, and the surrounding neighborhoods are quiet and calm. I bought a bottle of water and filled up with $30 of gas (good thing for lower gas prices). The attendant there was nice, although some of the conversation was lost in translation. I'll keep this gas station in mind if I'm ever in need of fuel before my night of debauchery.

He was wrapping up his graveyard shift but still cheerful, fun, and incredibly kind and patient. The store itself is clean and well-organized. Today's total was close to a nearly upscale dinner and a movie back in pre-pandemic days. Is what it is. All I wanted was gasoline, no frequent customer rewards or other such deals, just gasoline. Too many prompts, too much glare on the pump's screen made my, what used to be a simple transaction, difficult. I'm not spoiled, a bougie Karen. I know how to pump self serve gas, complete the transaction. (I'm not afraid to get dirty either. Can do a DIY oil change, check tire pressure, change one if necessary, even assisted my ex in rebuilding an engine! Not as expert as Marisa Tomei in "My Cousin Vinny" but can hold my own when it comes to cars.) Completed filling the tank. BUT pump refused to spit out my receipt! At these prices, you better believe I want deduction proof for my CPA. He swung by, knowing it should have a lower price than others in the area. We were both shocked to see regular at $4.05. Ouch! This station is challenged for space; everything is tight. They did put a signature touch by adding a large mural to one side of the station. United Oil is big on visual statements in their locations. They've also added plants and tried to cheer up the venue.

This is a new one for me…read more When I drove up to the station, there was a lit cigarette sitting on the window ledge outside the building. I thought, "Okay, sure, a deranged vagrant left a cigarette burning at a gas station. That's LA for you!" Then the attendant walked out, picked the cigarette up, and resumed smoking it. I had to laugh. At the same time, I filled up as fast as I could, which isn't very fast because the pumps here are still slow. A patron walked in and the attendant put the lit cigarette back on the ledge, maybe 20 feet from the active pumps, and headed inside to sell the patron a lottery ticket or something. Incredible stuff. Again, it's the cheapest Top Tier place in the area, so I'll probably be back. But I will try to use the pumps that are further from the office.
