The young woman who checked us out was super sweet and friendly, the coffee was fresh, and the made to order food came fast and hot. We got egg, sausage, and cheese on bagels and the whole thing tasted microwaved instead of toasted, which was disappointing since their MTO breakfast is usually great. The hash browns were really good and hot!

What the Sheetz? No, really, what the Sheetz? I'm a bit surprised at this location. I know that…read moremostly this is a Sheetz here to serve the community that it is in, but when driving the highway and you see a sign that Sheetz is off the exit you know of a few things for sure. You will have facilities to use, parking aplenty, and a quick browse over the many items. This Sheetz, fell flat. I had been doing a lot of commuting back and forth from PA to DC. Along the way I have stopped at many highway stops to quickly continue in my trek. Honestly, I have been through this corridor many times and I had no idea there was a Sheetz located here. But I was more focused on the road and not necessarily the amenities offered off each exit. Getting here was not hard at all, but the lot was super confusing. See the lot is on what some would call an important corner in this town. It appears that this Sheetz has been here for some time and just updated the lot to make it look new along the way. The parking is atrocious, since this is not your usual lot they threw in parking where it would fit. The back side of the building is totally confusing as a majority of the parking spots are up against the building, and since the building is not totally square-ish, the parking is just all over the place. Add some parallel spot as well and you have just about total chaos. Talking about chaos, the facilities. There is only one facility to use. Bright side, you can say that they have gender neutral restrooms. Not so bright side, when you really have to go, you have to wait. I mean really wait. Don't worry, you may get confused as well, because does that line go to the restroom or is that the line for the register? As far as the items to opt from on the shelves. Think Sheetz and then divide by four. Space wise this is not a great store as they have all you would expect from a Sheetz, but not every item in each of those areas. It is a bit disorienting trying to find an item, if they even have that item. If you can, wait while on the highway to go a bit further to hit a Sheetz. Until this one is rebuilt or relocated let it be for the community.

Honestly, I would have gone to the Sheetz up the road, but this was located closest to the highway exit. The reason I usually bypass this location is because of the entrance/exit. It does not have direct access to the road, instead you have to go to a traffic light and hope that it is not a long wait. Then you have to hope that no semis is trying to make the turn as well. Once you do get into the lot there are plenty of pumps and parking spaces. I was able to pull up to one of the pumps it was easy to pay at the pump. I did the fuel thing quickly and then headed inside. I used the facilities and then did a quick check to see what snacks they had and grab myself a drink. They weren't that busy, and since there was hardly any wait, I was able to get to the registers quick. With them staffing this place so lowly it was a self checkout experience. I paid, went outside and stretched my legs a bit before heading back on the road. Heading out, of course I got the light. After waiting nearly five minutes I was able to get on the road and reenter the highway.

This AC&T location has gas, propane, a Subway restaurant, a little market deli, a convenience store…read moreand two car wash bays. Since their opening in November 2013 or so, I have availed myself of all services except propane. Let me break it down for y'all. The Facility 4.5 stars The gas pumps are plentiful, well lit and well placed. As expected with a new gas station, everything is clean so far and each time I've pumped gas, there was ample room in the trash cans and the squeegee bins were full of clean(ish) water. The convenience store is very clean and well-laid out. The system they have for ordering freshly made food is a bit odd. One places the order, gets a ticket, walks over to the convenience store check out, pays and then goes back and waits for the food to be ready. With Subway, you get your sandwich first and then go to pay. It would be nice if they had seating placed out of the way for the folks waiting for their food orders. Sometimes if you are there to shop at the convenience store and they're busy, it's hard to navigate all the people standing around waiting for food The Service 2 stars It's okay...about what one would expect these days at a convenience store. The check out clerks seem bored and going through the motions. I witnessed one get snarky with a lady in front of me whose credit card was declined. The food service clerks seem to have an issue with priorities. They'll let someone's order sit in the window so that they can take an order of someone that just walked up. There's also not a lot of attention to detail. I've gotten home with an order twice now that was incorrect or missing something in some way. Shame on me for not checking (at least the second time). The young man that has waited on me at Subway is polite and efficient, though. The Convenience Store 4 stars The store is very well-stocked. Essentially, if you need it, they have it. You may pay a pretty penny, but it's all about "convenience", right? Subway 4 stars This Subway is available 24 hours a day, which is nice. The food is typical of a Subway, with the vegetables and bread always fresh in my experience. They do not seem to have all the options that a full-service Subway location has, however. The Market Deli 2 stars "Meh" is the best word I can come up with to describe the fresh food options offered here. Most items are fried, which would lead one to believe they change their oil pretty often. In my experience, they don't. Let me start by telling y'all that I'm a country girl for the most part. I grew up in East Texas and love my fried food. I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm a fried-food expert (someone looking at my hind end might disagree), but I sure do love my chicken fried, so to speak. I got all kinds of excited when I saw their marquee advertising Chicken Livers. You can stop gagging now. I sent my husband in one Saturday to get an order of livers. He came home with gizzards. I'm okay with that... I like gizzards too but it's hard to find good gizzards. The AC&T experience drove that experience home. They were awful. They were overcooked (nearly burned) and were horribly...rubberized? I ate one and threw the rest out. Take 2... went in myself and got chicken livers. Got them home and once again, overcooked. They were dark, dark, dark brown and tasted of old oil. The livers I've come to know and love have crispy, golden brown breading. These were dark, sludgy brown. They were also kind of rubbery. I have yet to try the fried chicken and I think I'm going to have to pass. As for the sides, they aren't very good. The mac and cheese is bland and flavorless. The mashed potatoes are, too. I have been afraid to try the vegetables, so I can't speak to them. The white gravy is alright. Their rolls are good. The Car Wash 4.5 stars The Touch Free bay is always empty. That's because for the same money, you can get a wash in the Soft Touch bay, which provides a much more thorough wash. The pricing is alright for the area. If you don't have another option (which is often the case out here), the food will do from AC&T. The gas prices are competitive and have kept the BP station up the road in line for the most part. The place is well lit and easy to get in and out of.

I was nearing E and knew I wouldn't be making the next major area for fuel and having just passed the Hancock area I needed to pull off. Unless you live off this exit from I-70, there is really nothing here besides this business. It is a welcomed sight when you are in need. The Exxon serves as more than a gas station. There is fuel for trucks as well and in the very near future there will be charging stations for your electric vehicles. They were installing them during my visit. Being that there isn't any competition here for fuel, they kind of set the prices. They are fair, but not the best. Ample enough pumps when they are not doing maintenance on what they have. When I was here, they were working on the awning, taking out a few of the pumps as they made progress. I used pay at the pumps. It felt like I wasn't able to get out of here fast enough. Before I could even get out of my vehicle and swipe my card there was already somebody behind me. The pump took a bit, but soon enough I was done and back in my vehicle. Easy to get back onto the Interstate once I was done. This will be on my short list when it comes to places for fuel on my trips.
