I went in and the lady said she didn't know what had happened and she then refunded me and put the money back on the tank. I went out a second time, and again would not pump the gas. I went in again same thing. It took a total of three times to get gas in my car. I ended up being late to school that morning and my refunded money is now pending in my account. It is located right up next to a Martin's grocery store. If you ever have come across a Martin's, you almost always see a Martin's gas station as well. This location just dwarves their iteration and far outshines theirs. The lot, as I had said, is large. Along with the ample parking/pumps and decent sized store, they have a car wash as well. With them right up against what is essentially their competition, I suppose they needed to outshine their neighbor.

They had the nerve to accuse my bank of creating the problem. I did contact customer service and of course it's a gas station that's actually doing it. Unfortunately they put a temporary hold on card with that huge amount. This was the first time I ever used my credit card at this gas station. I have used my visa debit card before and never had this sort of problem with them. I have been buying gas from them for many years. As of now, they lost my business for good. I don't care if it's temporary pending hold on my card, it's the idea that they are taking advantage of its customers. Unfortunately for the moment it's legal for these gas stations to put large holds on credit cards, but it does not morally make it right. What make it worse is that their gas station attendants are lying to their customers claiming it's a banking problem when it's not. I wonder if this is financially worth it for the owner to rig their gas pumps to create higher charges on credit cards. How many days will ACT hold my money? I should demand interest on my money. I'm not a bank, I'm a customer and to tie up my funds without my authorization I consider unethical. I'm glad I got my receipt from the gas pump. Just because other gas stations are placing temporary holds between $100-$150 does not make it right. I hope sooner or later Congress will put a stop to this type of shady practices that gas stations are doing all over the country. What's to stop grocery stores or other places from doing the exact same thing. This also puts a financial hardship on certain individuals living pay check to pay check.

The inside, as well as the lot outside, is very cramped. Compound that with the fact that this is a well used location does not make for a very fun shopping experience. This isn't your typical, new Sheetz location where you have a designated space in the store for the checkout line. This is your 90s remodeled store where the line is just the counter. And it moves slowly as no one knows where to actually stand. It took a few minutes to make it through the line, but I did it and I went outside. I opted to have a cigarette outside, but maybe should have jumped in my vehicle to get out. Watching the lot was oddly entertaining, but I do not recommend people watching here. Like the line inside, the lot is odd and hard to work your way through. Pay attention to the streets, it'll make it easier to exit this spot.

In terms of the inside of the store, it's really hit or miss. The store is fairly small so if there is a crowd, you will get very up close and personal with others as there is no real room to stand and wait for your food to be made. ****USE APP TO PRE-ORDER FOOD INSTEAD**** The times I have stopped and gotten food, it has been respectable but in terms of preparation time- very slow. Now when you have an emergency, you're on your own. This was the coldest week of the year. I even called last week to say I was concerned about running low. They scheduled me for Tuesday which I didn't think was soon enough; I ran out Saturday night in 18-degree weather and high winds. Too bad. I had to call back the answering service after waiting until 2 am for a call back to be informed that they would get back to me in the morning and then was hung up on. Well, it's morning, still nothing. I tried to call, but nobody answers now. I presume she recognized my number. So, here's my recommendation: If you use AC&T, it's generally o.k., the drivers are great, the oil's pretty clean and you'll be o.k. most of the time but keep some K-1 on hand 'cause you might need it!

Last heating season 2024/2025 - they let me run out of propane (automatic delivery customer). This heating season 2025/2026 - they let me run out of propane the end of December and AGAIN today. December had to call multiple times and waited over 10 hours without heat until someone showed up. Today I have called twice already - still no return phone call as to when someone will be here. Back on the December issue, they also told me they would give me a credit on the charges (since I'm on automatic delivery). But of course, they did not make any adjustments to my charges. Customer service is horrible and they cannot get automatic deliveries coordinated properly.
