I walked in there tonight and never was greeted. I stood at the front desk and the only 2 workers never turned their heads. Normally I would have walked away from just sheer rudeness but I was picking up an order. They never said anything to me and I didn't to them..I just sat down. I was in there for almost 20 mins without any sort of acknowledgment. I could clearly see that they were working the orders however, there was only a family of 3 sitting in that place. I went here earlier this week and really enjoyed it. I got some stuff to go- the tempura shrimp, fried dumplings and I think a dragon roll. There was nothing in this spread that I did not enjoy. I could not recommend the tempura shrimp enough as it was some of the best I have ever had and wanted to go back and get more. The sushi roll was presented so well and was very yummy. When I went in I was the only one in there and the lady at the front who served me was very nice and answered the questions I had. Saw the good reviews and decided to swing by for a quick bite. Service was nice and fast. The worker was happy to break down the menu for us. We tried the chicken teriyaki bento box which comes with two sides and also the chicken teriyaki plate which comes with rice. The chicken was nice and tender and their teriyaki sauce was savory but but as salty as a lot of other fast Japanese food places. I love that they have a lot more side options than most places like seaweed salad and gyozas. Everything was ready within 5 minutes. I would definitely come back for a quick hibachi style bite. This restaurant had many positive reviews on Yelp, I had to try it! We originally found it on Scoutmob ($5.00 off your meal). I looked up the menu before going there and was surprised to see the prices so low. I started to wonder about the quality of the ingredients they used. When we were looking at the menu inside the restaurant, we noticed the prices were slightly different and higher than what we saw online (but not by much). We started with the Crab Rangoons which were a low price of $1.99 for four pieces. How is it that cheap? They were actually very good! For the main dish, I had the Hibachi Chicken which came with rice (fried or steamed) and a veggie mix (cabbage, carrots, and broccoli). The veggie mix and rice were pretty good but the chicken was not as good. I could barely eat it! The texture tasted like you were eating a chunk of gum. It was processed. I actually ordered the Hibachi Chicken (chicken breast) as opposed to the Teriyaki Chicken (Chicken Thigh) because I thought it would be leaner meat. When the cook put the meat on the grill, it looked normal but I couldn't chew it. If you're looking for a snack, for example, spring rolls or crab rangoons, then this would be the place for you. For the price, you can't beat it. I don't advise the chicken in the meals though. I was disappointed. read more

I found this place being just a few minutes from my office. The only express hibachi I've found that is cheap in price but good quality. It's all freshly made and doesn't leave you feeling heavy. I prefer the bento box or the dragon roll as the hibachi meal is mainly cabbage as the vegetable. The only thing is that the online menu prices on their website are not updated. The meat is cooked in a sauce, but you also get another sweet sauce on the side that you can dip your meat into or just dump it over everything I've had better food from other places similar to this. The meat was decently cooked. It wasn't chewy. The sauce it's cooked in was a little bland so the dipping sauce helped but that was a little bland too. For the price, you definitely get enough The people working there were nice and friendly. The restaurant and facilities were clean. About all I gotta say about this place. read more

They had Yum Yum sauce the steak was great the rice was better and The sushi was very fresh tasting. I would give it five stars if the meal came with a drink and the dumplings were steamed rather than fried. All in All definitely would come back very affordable for hibachi and sides. I feel that you can't go wrong with ETG. The food is fast, reasonably priced, and taste amazing. I've only had the chicken teriyaki plate, but I have never been disappointed. The veggies are seasoned and steamed perfectly, and the chicken and rice is great. I prefer Extreme Teriyaki Grill over Sarku Japan. The product here is way better. And although I preferred the old place, I also don't think it's fair to give a 1 star review because of preference. The food here is.. average. It's basically on par with any other teriyaki fast food joint. I've been here a couple times since the ownership changed. I've never left upset that I went here, but I've also never left amazed by how great my meal was. The people that work here have been friendly though, and I see them treat all their customers well. This new owner does not deliver, and the first time I tried to order from them, they tried to overcharge me. Teriyaki chicken was very salty. Most of broccoli was more yellow than green. Veggies tasted very watery, not fresh. Menu prices are $1-2 higher than posted on their website. I was craving chicken teriyaki, BAD. After visiting a client in Alpharetta, I was determined to go to Lenox, go to Sarku Japan and get it. Thank goodness for Yelp. In the pursuit of looking up how far Sarku was, I stumbled upon this place. "Oh, only 3 minutes away?" I wasn't expecting much but when I walked in, the place was clean and didn't have a lingering smell of any kind. The cashier was fast and efficient, and you can see the chefs (I'm assuming the Mom?) make the food in front of you. As I watched her cook, she was extremely meticulous and extremely neat in her cooking. I didn't realize you could even do that with a grill top but she surrrrrre did. Besides the way she cooked, the actual food was great. The chicken tasted like actual chicken, the fried rice wasn't greasy, the hibachi sauce was on-point (Toyoma Express in Charlotte still has the best in my opinion though) and the crab rangoon was equal parts breading/filling.
