We enjoyed a dinner sitting at the bar. Loved watching the sushi chef almost as much as I loved the miso soup! The miso soup was a 5 out of 5 for me. Yum with generous amount of tofu. We are plant based so ordering sushi rolls was confusing because none were on the menu and our server was swamped. We made it easy on her and order a cucumber avocado roll and a sweet potato roll. My husband loved the cucumber avo roll and I preferred the sweet potato so it was a match made in heaven. Food was alright but the service was horrible. U walk in and no one greets you. Sit down and u have to get up to ask for a menu. The lady came to our table once so we ordered food and it took forever. We were by the door and watched and more people would come in and the same thing happened. There was a couple sitting there for 25 minutes and didn't even have menus another couple came in and left another couple came and had to get up after 15 to ask for menus and a waiter. They weren't even busy so what the heck is so hard about greeting the guests and getting them a menu. They need to get rid of that woman waitress. She was older and she's the only one working. This is the first time I have come to this restaurant and loved it right away. I haven't had that much sushi at all because it's so expensive. If you are in the mood for good sushi that isnt that expensive this is the place to go. I got a whole chicken teriyaki bento box for $10. It doesn't look like much when you get it but it will fill you up. I didn't want the tempura so they substituted it with more sushi rolls and I loved that. It is so quaint and very family friendly. We were greeted by a lady who was very friendly, as well as the Sushi Chef. The service was above average for sure. I started off with the Miso Soup and my honey had a ginger salad. I've found I can judge a good sushi place based off their Miso soup and this place had very good Miso soup with generous helpings of tofu. I'd give the soup a 4 out of 5 alone. My honey liked the salad and it was also a bigger size. I ordered a hot sake, which they brought a napkin with to pour it (brownie points for not burning my fingers), and it was pretty good with a decent amount of pours. The house Chardonnay my honey ordered wasn't so great, but a decent pour. The rolls were not bad at all for the price. We had the double tuna, spicy dynamites and lava volcano roll (which the sushi chef added fresh jalapeños too and kicked it up to how I like my rolls, spicy!). The wasabi wasn't potent which disappointed me but the rolls were good and sushi did taste fairly fresh. I didn't really have a favorite roll though, and the one I liked was mainly bc of the fresh jalapeños. I will say, the service/price/location/soup will bring us back again and I'd recommend for those that love close by who want a decent sushi place that won't cost an arm and leg. read more

Great service, Lee was incredible... I came in around closing time after my wife gave birth to have a good quick meal, and they were about wrapped up for the night. I asked if I was an inconvenience and Lee invited me to sit down. After a great conversation and even better food I left with a full stomach and a smile on my face. Overall, great place to go get a bite to eat and relax after a long day, incredibly friendly staff and Lee was just a pleasure to speak to. The sushi is good but 56 minutes (yes I timed it, I have OCD) to get 4 rolls of sushi, when there are 3 people in the restaurant is not only impossible, but had to be done on purpose. Two chefs, 4 rolls and 2 pieces of sushi cannot possibly take 50 min. I beg you do not go to this place if it was busy. Like I said, 3 people in the restaurant. Such a shame since it was so good.
