These "Corvette specialists" charged me tens of thousands to "restore" my Corvette. After they returned it to me "finished", the clevis pin fell out of the brake pedal as I was driving to a Corvette show. I had no brakes and no emergency brake as I weaved through traffic and stopped by jumping two curbs. They promised to fix the damage after which they delivered the car with a burned-out clutch. They said I needed a new clutch, forgetting that they had installed a clutch.
Now the car is in a reliable shop. After Extreme Midyears sent my motor out for a rebuild, it is leaking from every gasket. Was it really rebuilt? We will find out because it needs to be torn down to replace every gasket and seal. The transmission is leaking as is the rear end. All these things were supposedly restored by Extreme Midyears. The worst finding by the new shop is that the steering shaft was barely attached to the steering box. The shop that has my car now told me I am lucky my wife and I weren't killed in that car.
I trusted them, believing Mike and later Rachel. He's no longer there and she hires mechanics that apparently are not Corvette specialists and barely competent. Rachel seems like a nice person, but she needs to close the doors at Extreme Midyears. read more
