So thankful for BJ's auto upholstery. My 85 lb Labradoodle sits in the same place all the time in the backseat of my 13 year old Lexus Sedan and between his big butt and normal wear and tear my passenger side back seat had seen better days. I came to have my motorcycle seat refurbished I was told it would take no more than two days I was also quoted a hefty price. When dropping the motorcycle seat off I again asked and assured if it would be done in two days, today is the third day and I am told now that my seat will not be done until over the weekend and Monday I can possibly pick it up. I highly recommend not choosing this place of business to to reupolestry on your bike or auto. Very pleased with the work and the service at this establishment. My car's armrest had a big tear down the center of it, and had been driving me crazy for months. I drove into Bj's, a tech came right over and looked at it, 5 minutes later I had a reasonable quote and they had removed my armrest to keep for a few days. I called this morning to see if it was finished, which it was, and they had it on my car in minutes. Perfect color match of both fabric and stitching, and it was really a pleasant experience from start to finish. No wonder they have been in business for so long! read more

The leather front seats in my SUV had cracked and discolored due to age, so I was shopping around for a good auto upholstery shop. BJ's was recommended by my mechanic, and then I found the Yelp reviews confirming what I had been told. The shop is located on N. Florida Avenue, just south of Busch Boulevard, at the first traffic light at Yukon Street. Barbara Jean (better known as BJ) has been running this business for the past 30 years, and one look inside their repair bays and you can see the amazing quality that they put into every upholstery job. She told me that much of her business comes from auto body repair shops and dealerships that need to repair stitching, replace headliners, or re-upholster seats and consoles. In my situation I wanted to re-upholster the seat bottoms, seat backs, and two side bolsters on both front seats, plus recover the center console. BJ helped me to pick out a leather that was a near exact match to the manufacturer's original, and then quoted me a price which was amazingly competitive. I took my Toyota in on the morning after Christmas, and she called me the next afternoon to say that the job was finished. I had the chance to watch the guys working on other jobs, including a full interior remodel on a classic Cadillac, and several repair jobs on high end sports cars. Their work is outstanding, and the customer service is excellent. If you find yourself in need of an auto upholstery job I highly recommend that you contact BJ's and see if they can help. The interior door panel trim on our 2006 VW Jetta was coming loose after years in the sun. We inquired at local shops and they said they would not repair them because they did not believe they could do the job up to their standards. I really appreciated their honesty. After reading the other Yelp reviews I gave BJ a call. They said bring it in. We did they gave us several options and we chose one. They kept the car and the next day it was ready. The replacement trim looks very good. The shop is not fancy but be sure they will be the first ones we check with for future work. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, good work. My headliner came unglued when my vehicle returned from overseas - the dealer recommended BJs, I drove up and was impressed. I planned to ride my bicycle home while they worked on my car and was offered a ride home. the work was done well and was better than new for a third of what the dealer would have charged. Dropped the car off, the headliner was replaced and picked the car up the next day! The staff was very friendly and the made sure I was happy with the color selection. The price was well worth it and I wouldn't have saved anything by trying to do it myself. The dealer sent my Brand New Ford F150 for repair of the rear seat. I got my truck back after 4 days and it stunk from very spicy food! The dealer had to use disinfectant to try to cover up the smell. The truck was less than a week old! Someone there drove my truck for over 50 miles and beat the hell out of it. They floored it to kick in the turbo and the gas mileage was down below 10. The gas tank was down over a 1/4 tank. The piece they replaced is rippled along the seam and I will not be taking it back to have them fix it. read more

I was quoted a SIGNIFICANTLY lower price elsewhere. I way overpaid for the armrest to be reupholstered I would not recommend this business.

They repaired a few holes in my jeep top, for a fair & reasonable price. I was in and out on my lunch hour!

I went to B.J.'s to have a hard boot and a couple of other small items installed for my 1976 Cadillac Eldorado. I had all the parts, so the job was neither big nor complicated. The price was reasonable, and the service couldn't have been better if I had given them a job worth thousands. Give them a try. You're bound to be satisfied. read more

The bottom line is that BJ's Custom is totally awesome. My vehicle first went to another local auto interior establishment and after 5 months of dealing with poor craftsmanship and a lot of nonsense, my vehicle was removed and brought to BJ's. Everyone that I encountered at BJ's were true craftsman, extremely polite, friendly and experts at what they do. Definitely an "old school" mentality aimed to get things right the first time around They completed my vehicle in less than 3 weeks. The process would of been quicker but they were challenged with trying to locate missing and severely damaged parts that are no longer manufactured and re-accomplishing incredibly poor work that was performed by another shop by individuals who either did not know what they were doing or just simply did not care. What impressed me the most about BJ's was that when issues arose, the work stopped, and I was notified of what was going on. The price that I was charged was more than reasonable and all work performed was pure perfection. If any of my many vehicles require interior work in the future, then BJ's will be the place that they are taken to.
