This is the better way to get your headliner replaced. My headliner was starting to sag in a few places in an extremely low mileage Ford Escape that had spent its entire life baking in the Florida sun. After doing some research, I determined there was no satisfactory way to repair it, it would need to be replaced. I obtained a written estimate by email from one B&M shop that truly was an estimate. I was quoted a range with a $100 split and an indication it might go higher. I then took the car to a well known automotive interior shop I had dealt with in the past for seat cover repairs and the like. That estimate was even higher. I was also told they would "TRY to have it finished in one day." My SUV is not a difficult vehicle to replace the headliner...no sunroof and no overhead console. I saw Mobile Headliners had good reviews, so I called. Jason answered the phone, quoted me a very fair price and we scheduled the appointment for yesterday at my office complex. Although he was delayed by an earlier job, he beat his revised ETA. The first thing he said was, "don't worry, I won't leave until it's finished." That was in sharp contrast to the one shop's promise to attempt to finish it it one day. I had sent Jason a photo of the existing headliner so he could see the fabric's color and pattern along with my interior color code. He assured me if I didn't like fabrics he had with him, he'd order material. It turns out what he had was close to perfect. It was plusher and better material than Ford had used, specifically designed for headliner use. In a little over an hour and a half, he was finished. The quality of Jason's work was excellent. Not only does my headliner look great, the car is noticeably quieter now. I don't know if that's because the old foam had failed in the heat or the new material is that much better, but it's definitely quieter. Headliner replacement is all Jason does all day, every day. I get the feeling some shops don't like doing headliners...It's Jason's bread and butter. He knows what he is doing and it shows in the quality of his work. If I had factored in Ubering back and forth from the B&M shop's price, Jason came in with a price roughly one half what I was quoted with zero inconvenience to me. His 3 year warranty is also longer than the other two shops, they offered two and one year, respectively. It was so convenient to have these people come to me instead of me going to them. I called them and was able to schedule the service the same week. They called me the day of to give me an ETA of when I can expect them and they were on time. Half of my headliner was dropping and they took it all out and replaced the whole thing for $175. Very affordable and they did a good job. I don't believe they take cards so you'll have to either pay in cash or use a cash app like Zelle -- which is what I did. Overall, great service. Horrible experience! Contacted them last week and scheduled for Friday 7/15 at 1pm for a headliner on a Honda Civic. At 4pm noone had shown up or called. Called and they said that the guy was stuck but that they would send someone else, i told them to just come on Monday since it was too late, the agreed. Noone showed up Monday either. Contacted them on Wednesday AM and the lady told me she would message the installer. It is 4.30pm and noone has called me. Just called and she said she was gonna call the installer. But, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt; Therefore, I scheduled the appointment. Only to be disappointed because the guy (owner) pulled the same move on me. Gives me a lame excuse as to why he couldn't come out and apologized for not looking at his book, but that he had a chest cold. This is very unprofessional and a very unpleasant experience. I would of expected a courtesy call, from the young lady if he was unable to make it. To hear an owner of a business tell you that he apologizes for not looking at the scheduling book, is just beyond me because thats your job. I set up my appointment for a Friday morning on Wednesday. They were scheduled to come to my workplace. I let them know I only worked a half day and was told it wouldn't be a problem. I was given the price over the phone and felt it was very reasonable. On Thursday I called to confirm for the next day and was given the name of the repair person and assured he would come in the morning. On Friday morning about 8:15 I got a call from the repair person saying he would be there around 10:00. I confirmed the address with him again and gave him more specific directions.
