Anthony from Westborn Electric was given the task of replacing a light heater fan combo in the bathroom. I was able to obtain a new one from the 1980s, 1990s still in the sealed box. He was trading one in and trading the other one out. He had to go into the attic and work from up there too. Insert the new box and the insides. Connect them, adjust the light fan heater switch on the wall. It was a big job, two and a half hours. But he was able to install it beautifully. It runs perfectly and I'm very happy with the job Anthony did for me. As a postnote, he said the biggest surprise for him was that I was able to find the exact new unit from 3 decades ago! They're much better made, American. I told him it was the only one in the country and I found it for $50. The install was pricey, but every time I've needed to have electrical work done it's pricey, regardless of what electrician does it. Anthony was personable, respectful and not invasive. He arrived and did the work.

Communication was slow in attempt to correct the invoice amount and I requested to see the breakdown of the charges on the bill. Once I received a second corrected invoice it was still high and again did not provide a breakdown of charges (eg. labor and parts charged). I then gave up and paid the outstanding bill as I did not want any repercussions from the unrealistic due date on the invoice. To my surprise a week later Mike contacted me via telephone regarding the bill and advises they again will correct the invoice and credit an hour labor back ($180). A week went by and I received nothing from what I discussed with Mike. I then emailed inquiring about the phone conversation.. but never heard a response. It's now weeks later and I have not received any contact. Not impressed. Will be advising everyone I know and work with to steer clear of YQG. This is not how you do business. To leave a polite customer hanging.

Not only were they well priced relative to the competition, but they were also very knowledgeable and personable. I point this out because I've found that going with the low cost provider of anything usually entails sacrifices in other aspects, but it was a pleasant surprise to get the best of both worlds with SOMS. I tend to be very nosy and inquisitive, which annoys many contractors, but they had no problem with me asking all of my questions as they worked and also had no problem taking the time to give detailed technical explanations. Not only do I feel that I received great work at a great price, but I also learned some things about heating and cooling in the process, which I appreciate. If I ever need heating and cooling work in the future I would not hesitate to call these people back up again... I honestly don't think I would even bother shopping around. As a result, I highly recommend this company for your heating and cooling needs.
