I can't say enough good things about Alex and his crew…read more I called XPower in order to get a quote for installation of several picture lights, a floor outlet, two dining room wall sconces, and a new chandelier. Alex promptly got back to me with a very reasonable quote, and I was happy to learn they have weekend availability. As a professional working in healthcare, I hate to take time off on short notice, as it requires me to have 25-30 patients rescheduled last minute, which is unfair to both my office manager and my patients. Fortunately, XPower is flexible in their availability, which I greatly appreciated. They showed up between 9:00 and 9:30 AM on Saturday as promised; I did not have to wait around for hours for them like I've had to for other contractors. They promptly got to planning how to rout the wiring as I'd requested and got to work. They kept me abreast of their progress while I worked in my yard, and even though they hit multiple snags (to be expected in a 1930s home like ours), they managed to creatively strategize ways to get the work done exactly as I'd asked. Under normal circumstances, I'd expect to simply be told the work cannot be done as I'd like and to be offered some sort of half-baked alternative or worse -- to be told that the contractor is going to back out of the job because of the difficulty. Not these guys. These guys are the essence of "Where there's a will, there's a way." The crew was even happy to add on some last minute work I'd requested, as I had accidentally struck something in my wall the day before when I was installing some wall anchors to hang some paintings and unexpectedly set off a shower of sparks. Turns out I somehow managed to penetrate a live electrical box one of the previous owners had sealed over after they had removed some sconces from the wall. That was a lifesaver. I can't say enough good things about this crew. They're accountable, they clearly care about the work they do, and they'll do whatever it takes to get the job done. Any time I have any electrical work that needs to be done in the future, I will only be calling XPower, and I will be recommending them to all of my friends and family. I am already planning on having them back to install some more picture lights as well as a recessed media box and recessed outlet for my Samsung Frame TV and soundbar. I'm even considering getting a quote to buy my parents a whole-home generator for their house as a gift, as their power goes out frequently and unexpectedly. Highly recommended, can't say enough good things about this team.

Hello all, stay away from this crook Mark and his partner ken. MK stands for Mark and Ken here. I…read moreused their services and regret the decision. Mark is one of the most unprofessional person I have even met in my life. He came to inspect a panel at my rental unit a few weeks back and told me I need to upgrade it immediately and I/ my tenant is in imminent danger if we don't do so. Mark asked us 2250 CAD for the work. After that he didn't return my calls, no response to my messages for 5 straight days. He later has barged into my property to work on it without my permission, I asked him to leave my property immediately, he left and threatened to send me an invoice of 200 CAD as inspection fees. I called another company and got the work done for 500, they were able to use my exesting panel all they did was clean up the wires going to it and arrange them in an orderly manner. They send pictures as proof to let me know me and my tenant were not in danger and this is only if I wish to go ahead I can do the recommended activity and I was being scammed by Mark. This person has fake reviews online by himself (Mark) promoting his company. I don't usually write reviews but I want to warm the world about this crook (Mark). Sincere request don't do business with such people, save your money and time I will be reporting this crook to Ontario board that looks into electric/electricians for giving me false information to gain my business
