My girlfriend and I paddle surfed at the incredible casa cenote. Saw pancho the croc, free dived, and just had an overall great day. Mauricio is a great instructor and teaches you a lot about paddlesurfing, free diving and history of cenote's. Then we went to the Ahau beach club and relaxed in a cabana and soaked up the sun. If you are looking for an incredible activity during your stay, Mexican Caribbean kitesurf and paddlesurf is a must.

The friendly, knowledgeable and gorgeous guys at the Sian Kite outpost at Papaya Playa made it easy. They had me in the water and flying in a matter of hours. Equipment was clean and in good repair. My instructor, Matias, was patient and highly competent. The owner, Sian Macondo, made sure we had all the right gear to match the wind and surf conditions. When wind conditions weren't right, we took a break and had a bite at the beach bar directly adjacent to the kiting center. If you are a guest of the Papaya Playa Project resort, the center is easy to find. If not, come to the main entrance of Papaya and tell them you are going to the kite center. A beautiful location with knowledgeable, multi-national locals who were a joy to meet and hang with for the day. Highly recommended.

The cool thing was we really didn't want to Paddle Board on the beach in Playa mainly because of all the boats and Jet Skis. So they offered us an option to go Paddle Boarding offsite. Well, then we started talking and we found out that they do custom tours. Which was incredible because we didn't want to rent a car and we didn't want to be stuck on a bus touring around as we would not have control of our time. So, get this they took us to Tulum in the morning, they let us go at our own pace. They told us, this is your day, your time, you choose how to spend it. Come on, who does that... They do. After Tulum we went to this place that was like a screen saver to Paddle Board called Xpu-Ha. We had lunch there also because after doing some SUP and walking Tulum, we were all Hangry, haha. From there we went to Yal Ku, OMG another breathtaking place. It's a Lagoon with crystal clear waters and tons of fish. We snorkels there. So we went to some amazing Ruins, Paddle Boarded on an insane beach and Snorkeled in a beautiful lagoon. Plus they provided transportation, lunch and Cerveza... It was 4 of us, and only $129 each which was all inclusive. Looking back at it, we all agreed we would have paid double as they gave us such a memorable experience and allowed us to dictate our own schedule. Towards the end, it was a party with them, it was such a great way to end my trip. The vibes were WONDERFUL. During the experience, we had freshly made ceviche and burgers. They were also accommodating with my dairy allergy and the drinks they made were fantastic! I appreciated the crew prioritizing safety while keeping the environment exciting and fun. I loved it! They gave us a quick SUP lesson, and then we were on our way SUPing through the beautiful, crystal clear Cancun waterways. The tour might be a little much for young kids to paddle the entire way, but a child can sit on a board as an adult paddles if you are up for that. Mark offers a great option for an additional fee - he will capture your SUP experience with a GoPro so you can focus on relaxing and having fun. Thanks guys!

I swam for about an hour or so and when i got back to my car, all the doors were unlocked when i was 100% sure i locked all of them them. I'm not the only person this happened to. I spoke to other tourist that afternoon and the same thing happened to them. They broke into another person's trunk and stole their belongings. Luckily it was only my cell phone in the glove compartment that was stolen. This place is a trap for tourist. Please if you're planning to go, don't leave anything in the car. I also did some research and noticed it happened to others in the past so please go somewhere safer unless you want your car to get vandalized! And I get that you have to be a smart traveler. Trust me, your car will get damaged and you can't even call the police. Even the car rental lady told me that the cops will try to get a bribe from you so make sure you hold your phone camera up and record him!! You can't win!
