However, I am obviously looking for the best rate in different businesses since I do care about my time and money. I then ask how much is the hourly rate. The male representative declines to answer and asks first about the details of my moving (location, number of people needed to move, etc.). Since I did not want to go into the details before knowing the hourly price so I don't waste anyone's time, I asked again what the hourly rate is. The Asian male representative immediately got defensive and said that I am just another competitor asking about pricing and that I can get it in the website. I then got upset because I was being disrespected for absolutely no reason. Even if I was a competitor, that is not how you treat people when you are confident about your services and business. I then asked for a manager a then got hung up on. I called again, asked for a manager, and got hung up on again. BEWARE of this business at ALL COSTS. It seems like they customize their pricing depending on how they feel about you since they are not transparent about it straight up. All the other business that I have called straight up tell me that they charge by hour or distance, are straight up about their pricing and are also CLEAR of the different things that can change pricing. Such as distance, location and amount of of workers needed for the move. As a person who has worked for a long time in customer service, when a customer also requests a manager, you immediately get the manager. All of the addresses are also a scam.

So after the move I was told that several things were missing from the estimate that John visually saw . 3 area rugs that were already wrapped. a dresser, an end table - all in the garage when John came. a small gate (for my dog). and a few other things that were that were there when John gave the estimate. So now the movers also told me that they had to reassemble the furniture, put area rugs down and then move them til customer (me) was satisfied with their placement! i was told this work was all included in my quote. The boxes that had to be moved were a total of 10 as I moved the rest a head of time. So now they tell me it is the time they charge for and not the number of boxes. Needless to say I was very disappointed as the whole thing felt like a scam! The representative showed up for his appointment on time and in a company vehicle. We went through the home from room to room and he took a detailed inventory of everything I needed to move. The cost was very fair. The deciding factors for me were that they had all of the necessary insurance to protect me and my belongings, and the movers were company employees NOT hired day laborers. The day of the move a team of four showed up on time and ready to go. You could tell that they really knew what they were doing and treated all of my belongings with care and respect. Quality Movers was able to move me on my time schedule for the closing of my home. I will definitely call them when I am ready to move everything into my new home.
