The prices for units are jacked up every six months or so, due of course to the fact they are holding your possessions hostage. The latest semi-fraudulent scam AAA Storage is running is to add "insurance" charges to the invoices for their units. You are allowed to opt out of their insurance, but after repeatedly providing their offfice with a copy of my own insurance company's invoice clearly showing the effective dates of coverage, I am continuing to be charged for their insurance. There are many noticeable areas of damage to door weatherstripping, downspout drain hoses etc. which are never repaired. Not recommended.

Moving is such a stressful experience!…read more Fortunately I found AAA Self Storage on Groometown Road. I had never used a storage facility before and wasn't quite sure what to expect. The staff there were super friendly and extremely helpful. The use of the moving truck - for free!! - was a surprise added bonus. I was supposed to keep a single 10 x 20 unit for a month, but ended up with 4 units for two months (to date) Michell Riggs was awesome to work with. She made sure my units were close together for my ease of use and made the whole chaotic and difficult situation a little better - which was very much appreciated! Someone needs to give that lady a raise! :) I've visited the location numerous times to move my belongings out a little at a time and every time, Michell and Julie are friendly and happy to help me in any way possible. Seriously, I can't recommend this place enough. I hope to never have to use it again though! :)

To make a long story short, the bad storage place referred me to The Storage Hub. They are a locally owned company, and you can see the pride they have in their business. Don't hesitate to use The Storage Hub if you need a place to put your stuff!

Subject: Incident Report Regarding Security Concerns…read more Hello, my name is Cheryl Smith, and along with my partner Kelly Davis, we have purchased two units from Bee Safe. I have a unit in Greensboro (Beesafe Battleground), while Kelly has ours in Winston Salem at 110 S Broad St. Today, around 10:40 AM, I arrived and opened the doors to access my unit. A white man with a leather jacket and backpack approached from the street, no car, entered without a code, and immediately went up the elevator. I waited, feeling uneasy as I was alone and the storage facility had not yet opened. The man did not return. When Bee Safe opened at 11:00 AM, I spoke with Mars Gwynn about the incident. Unfortunately, she was dismissive and rude, stating, "He didn't break in; he just went to the 2nd floor." When I asked if she knew him, she replied no. I expressed my discomfort as a woman alone, and he did not use a code or never came out to which she responded condescendingly, "What do you want me to do about it?" I informed her that if no action was taken, I would call the police. I also urged her to be more professional in her demeanor. As I was on the phone with the police, Mars emerged from the building with the man, who was holding a painting. I informed the police that it seemed she was familiar with him. I wanted to bring this to your attention as I feel strongly about the need for improved security and professionalism in handling such situations. The women who I mistakenly mislabeled as a teen never smiled, offered to help in any way and seemed totally fine with this man, almost like she knew him. However never mentioned he was an employee.

I appreciate that it is climate-controlled, secure, and monitored by cameras. I visited to ask about rates and availability, and ended up with a great deal on storage and more. While giving me a tour, she knew each unit and helped me choose, explaining the benefits and drawbacks of different sizes based on what I shared about my needs. I ultimately picked a first-floor unit and also took advantage of a program for business owners. Needless to say, this Prime Storage location is Kiesha Speech-approved. When they finally open the doors, there were 8-10 people waiting. There was only one person working the counter, so the check-in process moved ridiculously slow. After a long wait, I finally was assigned a truck, only to find that it was parked behind another and I could not exit. I spoke to a U-Haul worker, It took him over 15 minutes to move the other truck so I could exit. During that time I spoke to another client that was also waiting for a u-haul worker to move a truck so he could also leave. To add insult to injury, the cab of my assigned truck smelled like fish. When I returned the truck, after my move, the agent receiving the trucks said he was unable to check me in, and that he would do it later and I would get an email. While the work ethic and attitude of the workers was extremely poor, I blame the site manager for making bad hires, poor training, and not creating a client focused culture.

This location offers one of the lowest prices I have found for filling your propane tanks in the nearby Greensboro area and compare to other businesses nearby. The tanks were filled quickly without any issue. The credit card machine that is built onto the propane station was not working, but a second employee was standing by with a mobile device that was able to run my credit card and send me an E text receipt without any delays. I was very satisfied with how quickly I was able to get in and out at this location and the staff were very polite and professional.
