A few months ago, a crew from this company (Shawn, Jesse, and Charlie) was hired to help move our apartment neighbor. Funny enough, we were moving on the exact same day, so we were constantly in each other's way.. sharing the walkway, 3 flights of stairs, etc. We all know how stressful moving can be, but this team went out of their way to help us too!! They genuinely restored a little of my faith in humanity. Whenever they had a free moment, or after they finished moving our neighbor's items, they would each grab a load and help us carry things.. simply out of kindness! And before anyone complains, our neighbor wasn't upset. Their help didn't slow down or interfere with his move at all. Their willingness to help speaks volumes about both the company and the team they have. They truly go above and beyond, and that's exactly the kind of service and character you hope to see from a moving crew. I was able to take a few days to load up the Unit, then gave them a call and the next day they picked it up and moved it to my new house. I wish I would have reserved more straps because they work so well. I used some of my own straps and they did not work as well as the straps unit lets you rent. I know it was largely because we were able to stage and declutter by having our extra storage/furniture in the unit. I was so surprised at how much we were able to store in the Unit. It was such a convenient process being able to load our things in, have them stored and then the unit delivered to our new home. Everything was done in our own time frame. These guys were careful and efficient. They came to my home on time and did exactly what was needed. We were getting new carpet installed in three rooms and we needed all of the furniture moved off the carpet and into another room. After the carpet was installed Eddie and team returned promptly as planned and moved everything back exactly how it was. He even remembered where each of the pieces of furniture should go. I was pleasantly surprised by the service and the cost and would hire these guys again.

Don't accept any extra people, equipment, or service from these guys unless you get the total beforehand. I know this already, but stupidly assumed basic human decency in the rush to get packed up and moved. The guys also moved our TV console without properly packing it. I told them to leave it alone because I needed to empty it. Not only did they move it anyway, but they flipped it with a Wii, Ipad, and PS4 inside. Luckily nothing broke, but the Ipad and Wii controller were both a bit scratched up. We have a lot of cameras, and saw poor handling and wild uncoordinated taping which led to the bottom falling out of some boxes. I will say they worked fast, but if you have fragile or expensive things I wouldn't let them touch it.

I decided, last minute, to hire movers for a local move. I called Miracle Movers and told them what…read moreI was moving and what I was willing to pay. I gave them a final box count and we reviewed the photos of all my furniture. I agreed with their estimate which was 25% higher than what I wanted to pay. Before they arrived, I moved all of the 95 boxes out into the garage to help get the final cost down since they bill by the hour. The final cost was double my starting number. So they need to do some work to provide better estimates. But on the plus side, they were careful with my belongings and getting from the truck to my apartment on the 4th floor was quite the hike. After they left, I plugged my recliner in and it wasn't working. I looked underneath and found that two of the wires must have been tangled up with whatever it was that they used to move it, and the wires were stretched to the breaking point. The company sent 2 people over to see if they could fix it. Two hours later we abandoned the effort and they told me to give them a few days to see what they could do to make it right. In the end, they found a new recliner and let me sit on it and try it on for size. It is nice, it is new, and it reclines. So I said, fair enough. They had gone the extra mile, and gave me more than they were obligated to do per the contract ($0.60/lb). We agreed on a delivery date and Andrew showed up right on time and delivered my new recliner to my place and hauled away the chair (which is that you call a recliner that doesn't recline). The underestimated quote was a gross negligence for a company who states they are professional and do this everyday. You would think after giving them your full inventory, which they require, they would be better at their estimating. The actual bill was more than double their quote. They damaged many of our belongings, damaged the house we moved out of and damaged the place we moved into. Then when you file a claim, there are so many stipulations that if you do file a claim, you waive all your rights away! Like disputing the cost, you must have repairs approved beforehand, which when you sell a home, you cannot wait for an approval. Not a reputable company nor an honest company. DO NOT HIRE MIRACLE MOVERS!
