The hours posted on their website when I was supposed to be able to access my stuff were "only for the Brunswick location." "Only the Brunswick location" has any hours for access over the weekends. None of this was clear in the contract I signed. During the hours they finally verbally gave me on the phone for when the Portland units are supposed to be accessible (8am to 4:30pm), which are really inconvenient for someone who has a job, they are sometimes randomly not open and nobody is in the office and nobody answers the phone. I've had to pay for an entire extra month so far and still haven't been able to get all of my belongings out of this terrible place because, as mentioned above, I have a job and when I work it out to get there (even if I call ahead) I continually can't access my unit to move my belongings out. This is coming from someone who is on an extremely tight budget - I would highly recommend you save yourself the headache and, for me at least, going on hundreds of dollars, and spend slightly more per month to store your stuff at Noyes Self Storage on Kennebec street - they are extremely professional, nice, much less sketchy-feeling inside, and have a very convenient loading dock setup. They're also open until 6pm on weekdays and 9am to noon on weekends. Hopefully one of these days I will be able to get the rest of my stuff out of my storage unit at Cumberland and never smell their noxious moth-repellant-mixed-with-toothpaste-mixed-with-whatever-CVS-uses-to-clean odor again.

They did SUCH a good job packing things in the truck. My fiance packed his U-Haul on his own and it became very obvious when unpacking that mine was done with much more care. My estimate for how much stuff I had was sorely mistaken on my part, and it ended up taking much longer because I didn't pack everything into boxes, to begin with (I've moved I don't know how many times but still do this!) but they were totally fine with it, even though they had another appointment after. That said, they said they would move me on Friday. i called several times, sent a text, sent an email- nothing. I literally sat at a bar with tears in my eyes not knowing what to do. If they just called me and said they couldn't move me to Saturday, then I would have at least known they still were going to show up. I was posting all over fb for help, couldn't get a Uhaul until mid Saturday afternoon, it was just horrible. These people were just so nice I never thought I would have been leaving a bad review on them. in the end; I got a call at 2pm from the husband (Dan) I let him know how horrible this was to do to someone. i was in such a bind, I still had them come. I give stars to the guys that moved me but 1 star for what this couple did to me. The emotional stress they caused me will never be forgotten. To note: they did charge me more than my estimate and had the moving guys charge me, again they did not answer my call when I tried to call. i just paid it! I do look forward to my new home and adventures here in Maine but beware that this may happen to you know matter how nice they seem.

We had a small number of large pieces, but Dad had accumulated tons of stuff and so access to the items wasn't easy. The Red's team not only worked fine with that, but they were incredibly kind about the whole situation. They were prompt, efficient, polite, engaged Dad to make him feel more at ease, were careful with our items (several were very heavy because, for instance, Dad hadn't emptied his clothes dresser), and very responsive on the other end in making sure everything was placed where he wanted it. The price was super reasonable and the service was stellar. Cannot recommend them highly enough!
