What I loved was that their price was in the middle of all the ones that I called, but most importantly came with twice as many workers & they did not charge for packing up the boxes I did not get to! As of February 2026, H-town movers provided 4 movers for $155/hr , with a $120 one time fee that covered the truck & travel. That is all i was charged! (They have a minimum of 2 hrs, but anything after that, they only charge at 15 minute intervals). I provided the boxes, tape, and paper-- you can get their packaging packet, but I found all of my stuff cheaper & they used the kitchen towels, wash rags etc that i left out for them also! However, they do provide unlimited plastic wrap & moving blankets to wrap up all furniture. They were very careful packing up all my fragile items (large dresser mirrors, China plates, mugs etc). I was very relieved with their detail to that . They were extremely efficient (did not purposely "dilly dally" to rack up hours) and had a great attitude the entire time! I could hear them singing or telling jokes to each other, which helped relieve a little bit of my stress by creating such a pleasant atmosphere. They were also extremely kind with our toddler running around. I did not have to micromanage them at all. The only thing I did have to remind now and then was if a certain section was going in storage or to our new moving location. They did not charge for making 2 stops. At the first stop, they would ask where we wanted the box or furniture item, and they happily brought it to whichever location. They do not charge for stairs, which is nice. They were also extremely efficient in packing up the storage unit where we had a ton of space left over! i would highly recommend this company & their movers and I would definitely use them in the future! Having more hands on board at a very reasonable price helped get everything done in one day and in a shorter time span than I had anticipated!

Everytime they changed owners, the transition has been seamless for the tenants. I will say the price has consistently went up throughout the years, hence minus one star. That was one of my motivations to get do away with the unit and either sell or get rid of what I have in the unit. The cost of what u have paid over the years definitely is way over the worth of the property inside. The property is very clean and well secured. I wanted climate controlled and I have never been inside where I have felt it wasn't controlled. They have moving equipment on hand to help you move your items as well. Customer service, especially with Extra Space has been outstanding. I was able to put my notice in to leave online. I wasn't sure if gate codes have changed since the new ownership took over so I called and spoke to Natalie. She was very helpful and told me I have till the end of the month to move out even though my move out date was about a week earlier. That little bit of information put less stress on me. She text me with all the codes and also notified me that my unit was clean and good to go after. If I am ever in need of storage in the future, I will definitely reach back out to Extra Space Storage.

This is a U-Haul dealer through AAA Rentals in Pearland. AAA does not have links to their U-Haul…read morerental services, but U-Haul lists them as one of their dealers. This was the closest rental location to my storage unit so it made the most sense for me when I decided to empty out my storage. I was able to pick it up on time, but I did end up getting a 20' truck as opposed to the 10' truck I originally booked. Customer service was great as the folks that own AAA are such friendly people. We used the truck for about 3 or 4 hours and did not need to return it till the morning. When I came back with the truck, the lot was absolutely full and I could not put it where I was instructed to put it back. Luckily, the owner happened to be returning with another truck late into the night as well and was able to do all the parking and maneuvering some of his fleet. They do have a way to pick up and drop off keys through their app in case the staff isn't there. I made sure I stayed below the mileage so I would not get charged more, but I did get charged for about 10 miles over. Just from interacting with the family, I do not think this was done in a scheming way, but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth for future rentals.

The maths work so far. After picking the van up I got to my pick-up location and when I tried to load it, it was sticking out the back. Turns out Uhaul thinks that a 16' 7" floor bed length classifies this as a 20' van. When I returned it, the gentleman at the counter said that they included the nook over the cab into the calculation to arrive at 20'. While this is the dumbest logic ever, shame on me for assuming it was floor space I suppose. The funny part is that even including the "mom's attic" space over the cab it's still only around 19'. Also, this location marked the tank as full even though it was closer to 3/4 full. I guess it's as with all things, "Buyer (renter) beware".
