Very disappointed with our moving experience with this company. We received an initial quote based…read moreon an in-person assessment of our belongings - the owner came to our home, toured the entire home and provided an estimate. Our final invoice was triple the amount of our original quote. Through no fault of our own - nothing changed on our end from what the move involved; no items were added. Owner offered to move the date up to avoid bad weather, which was appreciated. However, our initial estimate was for 3 hours with a crew of 5. Instead the move consisted of half the crew, and it took about 14 hours across 2 days. My husband had to essentially join the crew just to get through the move. It feels as if a much lower quote was given to secure the job, and we can't help but feel swindled. It's unfortunate because we were hoping to go with the same company for our final move in 6 months, and now that is absolutely not an option. I can understand an estimate being off by a few hours or a few hundred dollars, but for the cost to triple is unacceptable. The move itself was decent enough, just expect it to take 3 times as long, and cost 3 times as much as your initial quote.

They were excellent all around, from Amy, the moving coordinator, to Josh, Joe and Neil the three gentlemen that performed my move. Communication from Amy was clear, prompt and friendly. The movers arrived right on time for an 8 am start. They knew their stuff. In addition to moving a couch, desk, and chair among other items, they moved my 55" flat screen tv and my Queen-sized sleep number bed with no problems. They do charge an up charge to pack the tv into a specific moving box for flat screens, which I thought was fair and much better than them simply trying to wrap it. They worked quickly and were done loading in 90 minutes. They were also familiar with my new building and knew where to park to unload and quickly got me set up and everything was completed by 1 pm. Moving is stressful, and the movers saw me when I was not at my best, and their friendliness, good humor, and competence really helped me get through the day. I thought the pricing was competitive for a professional service. I did call other companies to compare, and one of them wanted to charge 3x the price to move the flat screen tv, and didn't want any responsibility for the sleep number bed!! Just silly. They broke several things and most can't be repaired or replaced. There are things I have not yet found even though the items from the same rooms have been unpacked. We trusted two men and a truck to move our personal items. I bought the workers Gatorade and tipped…read morethem $40 each. To my surprise they stole $270 out of my wife's night stand drawer in a clear container. The container had a lid on it so you have to physically open it to remove the cash. The money belonged to my seven year old who received it as a birthday present. Two men and a truck was notified but made zero effort to satisfy our loss. I do not recommend using this company.

Hours later they finally managed to send someone, totally screwing up my day. I wanted to talk to someone in charge before paying the balance, as I felt I should be compensated for the time lost and their major screw up. Instead they charged my card without speaking to me first. It cost $600 to move ONE large desk about 10 minutes across town. They claimed to have given me a 10% discount for my trouble, but failed to even calculate that correctly. Stay away from this company!!
