Apparently it was not being packaged properly in the first place. I could not file the claim myself because they shipped the package under there account. They filed two claims with FedEx which FedEx denied twice. This tells me both times the item was NOT PACKAGED PROPERLY which was there responsibility to do correctly in the first place. They are refusing to stand behind there improper packaging. I am now out over $700.00 because they failed to do the job I hired them to do. I do not and would not ever recommend this FedEx location to ever ship anything. This is not the way to do business. I paid twice for there mistake to my customer because it was the right thing to do. Twin Branch was also paid twice by me to do the job and did not do it correctly. They are refusing to compensate me for any of there wrong doing. I have reported them to the BBB and FedEx for this wrong doing. And will be reporting them to the Consumer Protection Agency also. I have been told this location has been sold so I hope the new owners have more respect for there customers.

Their truck left lots of rusted pieces on our driveway for us to pickup from the Tommy lift & then charged us for 6 hours instead of 4 & still had the storage shed to move the next day. I left Aaron a voicemail on his phone to call me ASAP but didn't receive a call till the following week! The 3 man crew came back the next day & took 6 hours again to clean out & move a 10' x 15' storage shed! It's really happening!!" to a BIG F... "We're 4 days behind schedule! Work starts next week! All our sleeping accommodations are reserved and paid for! And the truck and crew are 4 days late with no firm set arrival date or time!" Calls go unanswered. Customer service rep plays the good guy until worrisome calls become repetitive, then they just avoid picking up altogether. Time frame given by the crew when they do pick up calls are inconsistent, resulting in further delays. I have never seen a young family this stressful! Especially over the reliability and punctuality of a business claiming to be "5 stars" So heed this warning! Don't be fooled by the false 5 star ratings! There is definitely something sketchy is going on. Weed out the 5 stars, then you'll see reviews left by real people, who have contributed reviews towards other businesses. It's taken me three years just to shed all that and be able to write this review. If I can save just one person from having to go through they pain that we did, it was well worth my time to write this. The movers were unprofessional and showed up late on both ends of the move. They were unprepared and didn't have enough packing supplies, forcing us to use our own blankets to protect our belongings. The packing process itself was incredibly slow, taking 19 hours to pack our small 890 sq. ft. apartment. They didn't finish until 3:28 AM, and the foreman ended up just picking a random cubic foot value for our belongings because he was tired and didn't want to calculate it properly. We had no other options because we were flying across the country the next day for our move, and I really felt cornered. This is a tactic they likely use with many of their customers, and you can see from the other reviews this isn't an isolated incident. Communication was nonexistent. We were only provided with a basic inventory list that didn't cover all of our items, and the driver informed us that our belongings were in storage in California. We were missing over $11,500 worth of items, including valuable electronics, irreplaceable family heirlooms, and my wife's entire wardrobe. The loss of these items has caused immense emotional distress and financial strain. To make matters worse, the company was unresponsive and unhelpful throughout the entire claims process. They offered us an insulting $156 settlement for our devastating losses, which we refused. It's been over a year, and we still haven't received any compensation for our losses. Thank God we had renter's insurance that covered the loss. Please, please, please make sure you keep your renter's insurance until you're all settled and can confirm that nothing has been lost, damaged, or completely neglected. I strongly advise anyone considering Rapid Van Lines to look elsewhere. I accepted the terms at that point as it was impossible to actually confirm the load and I relied on the Company's estimates: - I was reviewing, checking the count, inspecting the pick-up and disassembling process of our items (not all of them should have been taken) in our apartments on the 7th floor while the Company's movers put them into the truck; - Upon completion they showed me the truck and claimed that my load took 1,050 cu.ft. However, it was hard to check the accuracy since the truck was fully loaded and the load was not organized properly (from the floor to the ceiling). When we received our belongings it appeared that the actual load was only 450 cu.ft. if properly organized. Also, the Company didn't deliver assembling services at our drop-off destination which were promised at our pick-up location. The Company was not responsive to my claims, so I ended up going to court and won the court case. However, it is still a challenge to return the money (approx. $4,000) from the Company... As such, think twice before using their services!
