The owner is the face of the business and is on site for help which is rare for other business models. During our initial interaction, he was very helpful in finding a unit that would fit both my furniture and my budget. An owner who isn't trying to get over!! Additionally, I enjoy the location since there is very little traffic, statistically resulting in a safer space although there is an access code needed to gain entry into the premises. I was also able to refer a friend who now uses this space in an exterior unit. My unit was interior (climate controlled) so there's an option for that as well. Thanks for your help Munster Stor-all!

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Be Cautious…read more I had a very distressing experience with Dyer Self Storage. Due to a temporary financial hardship, I fell behind on payments and reached out multiple times to try and resolve the situation. Unfortunately, the owner refused to accept any form of payment arrangement or partial payment. I was told on more than one occasion that my unit had been auctioned, but no official notice or documentation was ever provided. When I tried to contact the office for clarification, my calls were either ignored or ended abruptly. I was denied access to retrieve even personal, non-saleable items like photos and documents. The charges added were not explained clearly, and I never received a proper breakdown of fees or sale proceedings. This situation felt incredibly unfair and one-sided. I have filed complaints with the Indiana Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau, and I encourage others who have had similar experiences to do the same. If you choose to store your belongings here, I recommend documenting everything thoroughly and being cautious--especially if there's a chance you may experience financial hardship during your rental term.
