So we had to put half our house's stuff in storage. We liked Sierra's Glen because it was close to our apt, but also because of the way it looked. More of a woodsy location than the other nearby self storage on Derry Street. That's pretty much why we took it. It also had some multi-month deal going on last summer .... so that kind of clenched it for us. The folks were always nice and helpful. I called them several times from Virginia to get pricing and ask questions, and to set up a unit for us. My husband showed up from Va with a load of stuff, and the folks were helpful in showing him in. The units are behind a gated area. You can access all day until a particular time at night, at which you can no longer enter until the next morning. We've never had an issue with entering the gate to get at our stuff whenever we needed. Sometimes during the year we'd pop over to file stuff in our filing cabinets, or to just check and see that we actually have all that stuff :D We got the single-car garage sized unit for a year. It's been really great for us and now that we're in a house, the stuff has come back. Having our things in storage for a year was painful sometimes (no idea where some of my clothes are, and nearly all my books are in there - oh the pain). However, it's been nice living with minimal things, and we're going through the stuff we've lived without for a year, and will donate or sell most of it that we absolutely do not need. We've lived without thinking about 90% of that stuff for a year, and could safely chuck most of it without another thought. :D Very grateful for Sierra's Glen to providing this service to us.

Red called one day and I immediately said I'll be there to pay it and he said I didn't call for that..I called to say hello and see how you're doing. WhI does this?? Chris called me today to remind me that my pay was due but went the extra mile to make sure my payment dates fall on the day I can pay, the did the payment schedule for me and now I'll be on time with no more late fees. He said he would not get off the phone until he had it worked out in my favor. I held on and he worked it out. I'm telling you these two make me feel really awesome as a customer. Chris was amazing today both are always friendly and professional. To add... this is a very clean storage space, very easy to get thru. Red was the first I encountered now Chris. These two men need to be managers or something higher than this. They both deserve it and a raise. they go way beyond expectations to make sure you are happy with the storage spaces and with their awesome customer service. I appreciate them. Give them a bonus or something for me. Honestly! I've trained people for customer service for years and they exceed my expectations and standards. Very unprofessional experience. I contacted the location immediately to report that the right brake…read morelight and right turn signal were not working and advised that I would be returning the vehicle. I was placed on hold while the employee spoke with a manager. When the call resumed, I was asked if I wanted a different truck. I declined and explained that I did not utilize the vehicle beyond driving directly to my destination and back. I specifically asked if there was anything else I needed to do and was told no. I was also told I would receive a call back, which never happened. I later noticed I was charged the full amount and called back for clarification. The manager was hostile and stated that I did not inform them of the issue and that I had utilized the vehicle, which is inaccurate. I clearly reported the equipment issue immediately and followed the instructions given by staff. This situation was handled poorly, communication was inconsistent, and customer service was unacceptable.

Picked up a truck on a Saturday. The line was really long and there were only two guys working…read more By the time we left, the line was almost out the door. When it was our turn in line, the guy was friendly and I had already ordered the truck online for our one-way move so it was pretty easy. He handed me the key and told me where the truck was parked. My biggest complaint is that they gave us the truck with 1/4 tank of gas. We were doing a one way move (2 hours away) and we didn't know how much gas it was going to take so we filled it up to be safe. $76 later and we only used a little over 1/4 of a tank! After already paying over $200 for the move, we now also gave them free gas. My suggestion is to request that the truck be filled with gas before you take it so that you can just fill it back up to full when you are done.

Sure it's clean, well-maintained, and most importantly well-lit, but it's the customer service that can make all the difference. And Vicky at SDE really goes the extra mile. We had very particular needs and she went out of her way to find us a storage room that fit all our requirements. Don't be afraid to ask questions either. She takes the time to explain her answers, and she doesn't talk down to you. Months later I'm still glad we chose Storage Depot East. And amusingly, we found it was a lot more convenient than we thought because it's "easy-off" and "easy-on" Route 322 near Walmart in Harrisburg. Keep up the good work Vicky.

Easy in and out, paved interior roads, gravel sites. Some sites slope front to back a bit, but a level spot can be found. Quiet unless you are in the sites near 283 (higher numbered sites on each row). Clean pool, easy turns and clearances for big rigs. Delighted to visit again when touring the area.

My air conditioner couldn't even drown out the noise. I got minimal sleep. I didn't try the pool. The bathroom/showers were nice. Unlevel campsites, the septic and water sat WAY back from the pad.. If it weren't for the hwy noise I would of stayed longer. I wont return because of that. The city is nearby, its an URBAN campground..Pine trees that drip pitch :(
