This was a real class act. Not in a good way. I made a reservation over the phone with the national rep. Long schpiel about touring the site. Then the local guy called to confirm my reservation. I verified that I wanted to compare the small unit with the next unit up. No problem. I arrive at the appointment time. The local guy shakes my hand and proceeds to tell me something entirely different than what he told me on the phone. These folks are eager to upsell you into a unit size you don't need. So they tell you a) you misunderstood. I didn't. Or b) they don't have any more units of the very size you're looking for. But! They happen to have the $149/mo unit. That will work just fine, Ma'am. Only if you're paying, sir. Their website, an hour earlier clearly said they had a unit available. It still does. So, the company's shopping cart doesn't update to reflect actual availability? That's bait and switch, Consumer. Avoid this location. read more

This is a bait and reel company for sure they don't have the correct directions. It's not clear on making the order online. I chose one address and it got reserved for another one on top of that debate in real is that they show you a very good price on their website but when you walk out of there, that price has doubled or tripled it due to this and that, and the other that's not disclosed at the time of Reservation. Definitely would not recommend it. They even made me buy their lack and told me if I got my own like that they would reimburse me however, they didn't tell me how that reimbursement was going to come so naturally, I assumed it was going to be in cash because he didn't state otherwise but nope, another hook and reel. It went back onto my account to be a credit for the following month. Weird shit. Would never recommend, and they don't even have a dumpster if you need to dump something Live with the saying, if it's too good to be true, then it's not true! read more

Well, how to put this? The gist of things would be that time is relative. Time does not operate by the standard rules on this near-acre of land. Things age faster in this space; the dust embeds itself - things yellow and become brittle. Even our human relationship with time is altered. The future is not some darkened gradient of the years ahead, but broken segments of the past refracted through unknown prisms. What does that mean? Take, for example, a sunny day in June. You make your intentions to extract your belongings from this place clear to the administration. A move-out date is provided. There comes the soft patter of keys on the other side of the telephone line. Bureaucracy. By now the month-long stint in a 10X20 unit has aged your belongings ten years. With July at its height and the unit long empty, you inquire about the pro-rated rent you were promised. "Well, we can't do that. You needed to tell us your intent to move out." "I did." "It's not on our records. It states clearly in the agreement you signed that you need to provide notice." You're already carrying what seems a decade of fatigue. We arrived in Grand Rapids with a reservation at another place. When we were not pleased with the location, we cancelled and were in need of a new location. We searched out to Extra Space via Google and gave this place a go. When I called, I was treated professionally and courteously. When I arrived, I was treated like a long time customer. We drove around to the one I wanted where I felt I would rather change to the next larger size. No problem! Was given a discount and had everything set up to pay automatically.
