Boats are in peoples front yards, flooded out cars block the right of way and there are no working stop lights anywhere. We stashed post hurricane supplies in our storage unit in the hopes that we might have everything needed after the storm even if the house blows away. it worked! But not really. Public Storage has chained the gate closed until further notice. Never mind about your generator, your emergency supplies, food, water, medicine, tools, camping gear, bicycles etc. They need to make sure that it's "safe for everyone." I can see the door to my drive up unit completely unobstructed except for the massive chain. "Come back tomorrow," I'm told. The next day I'm there waiting for someone to open the gate and am told I should come back tomorrow again. I was not happy about this and let it be known. I was informed local law enforcement would called if I did not leave. I thought this was a grand idea and decided to wait for the Sheriff's Deputy to stop by. Three hours later and no cops, no access to storage unit and no public bathroom, I left to go pee. Today is the third day after the hurricane and I'm driving 40 miles each way again to try and get my supplies. Wish me luck. I'll be moving to a new storage company ASAP. The half dozen or so competitors within a mile or two of this location were all open by yesterday afternoon. They don't have electricity either. They got flooded too. They are obviously more concerned with people than unnecessary corporate processes that deprive disaster survivors of their belongings and supplies. Just because they can. Shame.

The day we show up we were told that it turned into $150.00 a month due to a system error. Now going on 2 years later they want to raise the rate to $274.54. I have no choice but to leave. Lets not forget that IAN flooded the whole complex and they tried to force owners to sign a waiver to release Liability. I would not sign it and I had to call the Sheriff before they would allow me to enter.

Funny we got all emails promptly that wanted their monthly fee but by the time we requested the email ,that was not received, we had like 20 days. In that 20 days we went to the unit several times to take carloads of stuff and each time we received a email that our account was closed and they would be clearing our unit. We finally got this removed so we could get our stuff out the last day. ALSO DON'T BUY THEIR INSURANCE. GET FROM SOMEONE ELSE!

The website they tell me I must use to pay and update my payment information has been down and will not allow me to update my credit card. When I call the corporate office, they acknowledged that the website is not working properly and that many customers are having trouble paying their fees. Their only option is to come in or I will be assessed late fees. They acknowledged the fact that I work out of the area but refuse to understand why I am unable to come in and pay in person. I have now made seven phone calls, sent emails and tried countless times to pay them via multiple methods but they refuse to take my payment. To threaten a customer with fees and tell them you are denying them access to their belongings because you refuse to accept their payments over the phone and your website is down is ridiculous. Judging by the fact that previous reviewers have been having the same issues for the past year, it sounds like management is more interested in scamming customers into late fees than actually taking payments. If you're looking for storage, stay away from Metro Self Storage on Summerlin.

Crossroads is an incredible brand new storage location accommodating motor-homes, boats, vehicles…read moreand many other storage needs. We visited the facility last week and were truly blown away by all the features and the exceptional customer service. They have lots of enclosed units in a variety of sizes, with the largest big enough to store our 45-foot motor-home. The enclosed units have temperature control and their own electrical panels along with coded access. There are also canopy options, which have electrical hook-ups AND fire suppression systems. And the entire facility is surrounded by a high wall, security cameras and storm drainage. In fact, we learned the entire facility has been built to withstand severe weather. Lastly, the owners are wonderful (which was mirrored by the other customers we met last week) - this is a family owned business and you can tell their genuine customer service and communications come from the heart AND the sincere desire to be successful by way of providing a great storage option with excellent service. Pricing options give real value for money and with no flexing. And we were told we can use the wash bay for free. We researched lots of places in the surrounding area and we would absolutely state this is the best option by far. In fact, we've not seen anything like it anywhere. 10/10. Thank you, Dana and Don for the tour! We will be back.
