Great people to work with, long time renter. Clean facility. Like the ability to access any time even on hollidays.

There are other and better facilities in Fort Myers. Recently lost my job so I wasn't able to pay on time. A 50 dollar late payment is applied to your account if paid 1 day late. After 5 days it becomes 100 dollars and they turn off the pay by bank feature so you can only pay by card which adds a 20 dollars convenience fee. If you pay 30 days late on top of the fees added you have to pay an addition 110 dollar lien fee. I have been there for years before they became Cubesmart. The owner and staff then were some cool people and they would work with you if something happened. Cubesmart is just some greedy conglomerate that just wants more money. read more

I wish there were more than 5 stars from Ron, the manager of Cubesmart on Gladiolus in Fort Myers. He was so professional, helpful and wonderful. He helped my husband with everything he needed since I could not be there on site. He called me to make sure everything was ok with the vacate plan. He is upper management material, for sure!!! Beware!! These people are con artists. They tell you that everyone must add $12 to their monthly rent for insurance. He even changed the different rates to reflect that. However, a more honest employee let me know that if your homeowner's insurance covers your belongings and sends a form over, that covers it. Never mentioned by the manager when hustling me to sign up. Also, the contract reads "all dimensions are approximate". That allows them to sell you a space they call 5x10 when it is actually only 4x10. Nothing approximate about every one measuring exactly 4 feet, not 5 feet. I would stay away from these people; they only see $$, and will do and say anything to trick the unsuspecting customer. I gave it one star only because I couldn't give it zero. read more

My wife and I just sold our home. While waiting for the construction of our new home to be completed, our movers recommended CubeSmart to store our home contents. As this is our first experience with a storage facility I am very impressed and pleased with the cleanliness and the security of this CubeSmart. Ron Dallas, the manager of this location was very helpful and accommodating with our needs. We previously reserved a 10x20 unit, but as our movers were storing our possessions, we realized that we were going to be short of space. Ron Dallas quickly found a 10x10 unit located in the same building on the ground floor for us to rent. Thus far, the entire process has been completely satisfying. Ron was very professional, mannerly, and courteous throughout the entire process from showing us the units through check in. I highly recommend using CubeSmart should the need arise. read more

I've had this storage unit for 18 months (1.5 years). I have had two rate increases over that time equaling 17% or $552 / year. What other business increases their fees by 17% in less than two years? If you rent an apartment, do they jack your fees like that? Of course not. No business expense could have changed that dramatically on this cinderblock unit. The US rate of inflation has an annual number less than 3.5 % for the past 8 years. So what gives? I complained to the manager and he passed it off to a "corporate decision" he had no control over. Sad. If you go here, ask for a guaranteed rate for one year and stipulate an allowable increase after that. They probably won't do that. My guess, is they know that once you have your unit full, you will pay the increases like little lemmings rather than go to the trouble of finding another place and moving all your stuff again. . This company really bends over backwards to please their customers. Had a small issues that has since been resolved exceeding my expectations. Do not hesitate to rent from CubeSmart. The facility is clean and well maintained. Security is also a big priority. I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone in need of storage. read more

The folks at Cube Smart were very friendly and helpful. Nice clean facility. I did not know the billing was only for full month to month with nothing less than a full month. For example, I wanted 1 1/2 months but was billed for 2 full months. I did not know this until I got home and looked at the bill. read more

Very clean and well run facility. I found an available unit online that was not my first choice but would work pretty well. When I went to look at it the manager checked availability again and found a unit that was exactly what I wanted. I appreciate the fact that he went above and beyond to help me. And, because there are discounts for renting online, he helped me reserve the better unit online so I would receive the best price. read more

Good overall experience. We had to wait for a bit due to 2 trucks that were there unloading 2 other units. It might be helpful if you could stop the elevator while loading it. The door kept trying to close on us as we loaded furniture. read more

Excellent!! We needed a 5 x 10 unit to store goods and rented one on the second floor. We had the use of a flatbed cart and an elevator to move the boxes. It was very easy and convenient. We made our reservation for a space online and Trisha called us as it indicated. She was super helpful when we arrived and the process was pleasant. She was great to work with!! My 2-star rating does not reflect the quality of the product: it is an excellent facility. And I don't disagree with the other positive reviews of staff, cleanliness, courtesy, etc. But I'm vacating my unit after three years for one reason only: continual price increases with no attempt by management to explain or even rationalize. In less than two years my rate has jumped by a whopping 28.5% !! Has their overhead increased by that much ? Their insurance rates ? Just give me a reason---any logical one---and I would feel that my new rate is understandable, even justified. But no. Here's a postcard with my new rate. Pay it or leave. This seems odd for a company that prides itself on great customer service, because it gives the impression that their customers are too dumb to notice or care. It's as if we are too stupid to deserve an explanation. I'm fortunate to be able to create a workable storage solution in my home now. Glad I'm smart enough to know when I'm on the wrong end of a bad business deal. read more

I have rented a storage unit here for the past three years as we moved and downsized from two houses into one condo.The staff is knowledgable and very helpful. The facility is always clean and secure. The units are air conditioned and I have never experienced bugs or any other pest problem. It is like an extension of my home.
