The folks at Public Storage are so helpful!! I never would have guessed it - but it's true. I'm having a moving truck arriving (without me there) in a few days. The manager, Stephanie, was incredible!! She arranged the whole thing. Now, it won't be happening for a few days, so we have to see the final results. Classic example of bait and switch. we rented our unit after Ian for 212 per month and they have increased 2 times and 47% in just over a year. way to take advantage of folks trying to rebuild your state. would never rent with them again! read more

It was so easy to do everything online, and the manager calling to follow up was helpful always.

over the last year to year and a half, i had more poor quality incidents than good. the first sign was when i moved in on miromar location, the app for the door entry didn't work, then the elevator didn't work, then there was no one in the office and no one answering the phone. then when they did call back they stated "you need to come back say in about a week. we only have one person that works on the doors and he is from fort myers to sarasota. we're sorry for the inconvenience. had to take all my stuff back home and pile it back in the house until i could get into my unit, never ever did they provide a credit. they can't keep staff and at these rates i wonder why. don't regret just go somewhere else. value: absolutely too damn expensive. 4 times higher than it should be but get in line for that. they tried this month 2/9/24 (kristina, gm, idiot,! she unsuccessfully tried to edit my payment to my credit union to the increase that wasn't on the app which i pay every month. the sent me a lock out notice and charge for nsf check notice! fraud! fraud, my payment went from $263.20 to $298. to $380. in 1 week. i want see them fined. i am filing a small claims lawsuit against public storage and also a class action lawsuit against them to get them out of business or at least feel the sting of the public distaste for them. criminals preyiny on the public. don't trust your belongings to public storage. any of them! read more

This review is all about the assistance provided by the colonial manager, named Seasons, who help me find my account and reservation. She was dedicated to getting me served excellently. Seasons was one of the most responsive people that I talk to in Public Storage. She had issues with her computer, and found out that the computer wasn't accessing the database properly. Then contacted a more senior manager and got things straightened out. We finally found what the mixup was. The whole time, however, the manager named Seasons stuck with me until all issues were resolved. If their computer system worked as well and supportively as manager, Seasons, I would be rating Public Storage as the only one to choose. My rating would be lower , had it not been for Manager Seasons. read more

Don't trust the office hours because no one is ever in the office. They show up hours after they have posted on the door. There is also roaches all inside the units crawling the walls. read more

Stephanie in the office was amazing. She was responsive, helpful and so nice. I didn't have access to my code and she quickly found it for me. Then she let us in a side door due to the fact that my unit was smack in the middle and the side door was closer than the main door. The units were impeccably clean and cool. I highly recommend this storage facility. It is centrally located too which is a huge plus. Plus pricing was the BEST out of all the others I checked. read more

Well we finally moved out to a different storage company after four years of being with horrid Public Storage in Fort Myers , Fl We rented inside, air conditioned units for approximately five years straight with them. The problems were not only did they increase the rent every 6 months ( about 20 % per year) but they also had no air-conditioning on the second floor over the past 2 months when we are paying for air conditioned units. We called and complained a number if times and they said someone was working on it and they also said there's nothing else they could do about it and then they raised our rent again.Over the years, we found cockroaches in our units, some alive some dead, but unfortunately some of them ended up in our house and we had to get an exterminator, and there was no lights inside the units ever and it smelled musty and there was only one small elevator and one cart to move your boxes ,(if you could find it). Some of the time the cart was in one of the other five buildings and you had to go looking for it. We are very happy at the new air-conditioned storage place Down the street,where the price is half half of what Public Storage was, there are plenty of lights, two brand new elevators which holds more than one cart each, , six carts at our disposal, amazing security and personal who are always available. Remember there are other choices out there and it certainly was not that much of a chore to move. Photos show the temperature in the air condition units and the welcoming committee of cockroaches. Adequate facility but the customer service is often not even around. The positive is that the facility and units are in adequate condition. There's not a huge amount of upkeep on the inside, with insulation sheets from the unfinished ceiling sometimes hanging loose and water easily pooling near the doors when it rains. Otherwise, it's just fine. I've had some awful trouble getting in touch with the property manager when I needed them - probably 9 times out of 10, no one would answer the phone, and then it was a 50/50 shot if they'd return my voice mail. When I've been able to chat with someone, they were, at least, polite and helpful. read more

I've only just enlisted their services this week so I don't have much history. The manager Stephanie seems most helpful and dedicated. She seems very personable and friendly. The facility is nice, felt kinda like Maxwell Smart as I walked to my climate control unit, the lights would turn on as I walked along, pretty cool. read more

I contacted this company after winning the highest bid. I was told by the manager who is now no longer with the company that they had a promotion for the first month rent, and second month free. The manager had mentioned many times the computer software had many glitches. During the process I was charged for a second month that I should have not been and was credited and recharged again. The store manager could never get it right. I called last week and wanted her boss to call me. The manager that took over said to call billing which I did and the lady asked if she could call me back on Monday which is today after checking everything out. After speaking with her today she began to tell me about moving out of the storage space number and having a new number with the same space. I had the same space for two months. I was charged $474.88 for the first month $21.29 for key fees and another $76.03 in which I still did not understand the way she explained it. On 06/03/2022 I was charged another $459.14. After so many years at this location the employee are wonderful people, wonderful people! But their computer software suck big time to charge someone not one but two late fee because you have two locations in the same place, and once you make a payment no one can refund the late charges that were charge for being late by one day, back onto your credit card, I was told I had until yesterday to come in and would have not been charge a late fee. okay I can understand $5.00 or maybe ever $10.00 dollars but $59.20 for late fee especially when I've been at this location for over 17 years before it was even public storage, and have never been late once, well if that's the way this company wants to continue to do business it's okay, but you have just lost me as one of your customers, I don't have let you take my hard earn money like that. read more
