BEWARE! BEWARE!!! I was lied to by the manager of this dump. I asked her it there was a rat problem and she replied that I would "not have a problem." Just to be sure I placed rat sticky traps in all four corners of my unit. After one week I had my first dead rat on a trap. My truck was also filthy from sitting in the dusty unit. There are large holes in the old brick block walls. The wind, dirt, and rats are in charge of this filthy location. My request for a refund for the remainder of the month was denied. Stay away unless you are fine dealing with these third world issues! Not me! read more

This place is brand new (6 months old), so everything is super "fresh" and clean. Very secure. Right now they are offering great deals. I'm moving from CubeSmart (as they just did another rent increase) - and am saving 50%. Nice! The place is located on State Rt 82 (east bound) just past the Publix (same side) at Rt 82 and Colonial. There is a U-Turn available for those traveling eastbound. read more

I do not write reviews but the experience with this company got under my skin so much I figured it was time. Unfortunately I cannot give it less than 1 Star. First, the continuous rent increases. Every 6 months it goes up by about 50 dollars although they still rent the same unit at the original price. When I called and asked about this, they gave me a slight discount but that was it. When I said it made more sense for me to just cancel my current storage and rent again at the lower advertised price I was told that was an option. Second, Repairs. The entry has had a massive pothole now for at least a year and no attempt at fixing it. The storage unit I have is missing a bolt on the latch and after repeatedly telling them about it, it has not been fixed. My advice, stay away from this company. I am currently looking for a new storage option myself. read more

I am very pleased to be using Public Storage facility on 3232 Colonial Blvd. The units are clean, and although I had a small issue, they were able to resolve it quickly and professionally. My unit is a climate controlled unit. I've been there for almost 2 years, and even during Hurricane Ian, my storage unit was dry. The office staff is wonderful. This place is a disgrace! Not only did I get stuck in the elevator for 70 minutes (after being told the company ALREADY knew there was a problem), but after I messaged the company to politely inquire about a ground floor unit, I got a not so friendly email back. Then, just a few months into my rental, I get a notice through the mail advising me that my $19.08 fee per month, was now going to be $47.70 per month. That's quite a jump! What a scam! I guess they do this in the hope that some people don't notice or don't have the means to move out of their storage unit with such short notice, thus increasing their revenue. Actually one star is far too generous. Rented a unit based on a good special advertised for Veterans Day. Use "The Term Good" Loosely... An interesting story started this whole process. No not going to tell you a story. That would not be appropriate. However, there is a sticky area of contract that "BUYER BEWARE"A great area that is subject to change, or be adjusted based on your needs.It Can work against you. HOWEVERR... Just like I said before, Corporate is always waiting or district management to work things out with you. I'm sure you know by now, that in the times that we are living. I rented a large storage unit from them and as soon as hurricane Ian hit they raised my rate $106. most of the time the unit is barely air-conditioned and even at one point they didn't have air-conditioning for about two weeks, they never informed the renters of broken air conditioner and didn't credit us any money either. I definitely do not recommend this place if you're looking for a good storage go to extra space storage they are a much better, Cooler, cleaner facility . rude staff price went up every month I was there 5 years they price jump 5x the amouth and then sold my item and storage I am very upset- cause everything was in the family for years and they went and sold my item when I been making payment that last few month I been making partial payment cause I could not make payment and I wish I went to pick when I could have before now I lost all my family value and collecting and can't bare what going on. read more

I agree with Chachi B, looks like not much has changed since 2014. They do not offer bathroom access, the facility is old and dirty, no air ventilation, poor lighting, I found two roaches in my unit upon moving out, which I should have expected when their policy is to have rat poison in each unit 'just in case'. I have picked up several screws and bolts in the area where I parked, which makes it obvious that ground maintenance is minimal and where I more than likely picked up a screw in my tire. You can determine the lack of care and maintenance when you pull up to the front of the building, just look at the awning that is supposed to be orange, it is black and moldy. I am not someone who offers my reviews (opinions) usually, however, when the issue arose regarding misinformation I initially received from Public Storage, I brought it up to Trish and she immediately, without hesitation, advised me that they would not waive the unexpected fee. I pushed the issue and she advised she would send a complaint ticket but assured me that they would not do anything. I received a rejection notice on my complaint. I contacted the Public Storage office again and was advised that they would not do anything. I advised the man I spoke with that I would be moving and posting a poor review. He didn't seem to be concerned. When it came time for me to move out, I was 3 days late on my payment as I was out of state with poor internet service. I went into the office to advise I would be moving. Trish was there as well and I gave her the scoop in the other storage facility I had found at half the cost. She told me that they will raise the price. I advised her that Public Storage raised the price a few months after I was in. Then she actually told me that once the other place raises their price that I can check for Public Storage specials and come back. The man that was working with at the counter advised I had a balance, which I agreed and planned to pay online as I always do as I was previously advised that they charge a fee if the office takes the payments. The man provided me the move out instructions and advised me that they request I have everything moved out three days prior so that they can do a walk through and make sure my unit is clean. I explained to him that I had to clean the floors in the unit before I could move my stuff in as it was filthy and reconfirmed that I have until July 31 to move out. I left the office to go to my unit and they had locked me out. This must have been done while I was in the office as I advised I was going to move out and owed for that month (you pay ahead of time). I had to go back to the office and advised I was locked out. The man advised that was due to my balance. I reminded him that I just advised I would be paying online because I didnt want to pay the fee to have them post it. Trish advised that they only charge to take payments over the phone. Seriously??? Im sure you can see the lack of communication by this point... As we are all busy, it did take me time to find another storage facility, which I found one called EXTRA STORAGE and WOW what a HUGE difference. The grounds are well kept, the building is extremely clean and bright with great lighting, no rat poison in the units, they offer access to clean bathrooms during all open hours and the staff is well mannered and offer a professional appearance. Even their golf cart is shiny and clean! In keeping good with my word, I am offering everyone an honest and realistic review on Public Storage. Search for specials and you will find them. I am sure off season prices are better. *Note: Storage companies generally raise their prices within your first 5 months. So consider that when you choose your storage company :) read more

If you are looking for a storage place, look no further. This property is so amazing because of the office team. Trish and Cathy went above and beyond to not only get us a deal, but they researched an inactive storage locker that was next to our parking space to see if the renter was through with the contract so we could get the most convenient spot possible next to our other equipment. We were blown away with the level of effort and care they put forth to ensure we would be happy. And on top of that, they clearly work extremely well together and made us laugh the whole time we were there. It truly was a pleasure working with them. Crooks I was quoted a price over the phone of 50 a month and 1$ to move in. I showed up with my moving truck full and it had to be returned the next morning so I didn't have time to shop around. It cost almost 60 to move in and over 80 a month. The lady I talked to was nice But the short male manager was rude and very condescending. One fee was 19$ a month for one of their 5$ locks. I have a 25$ master lock but he said theirs are more secure. Also they make you spend 11$ a month on insurance that's 30$ mandatory on top of whatever they quote you. And no matter what all the advertising says you cannot move in for 1 dollar. read more

I was in a bind and Keeley specifically not only helped along with other staff with getting be set up with a storage unit, but helped me find a much needed hotel room for me and my cat at a price that I could afford being a college student at the time. Terrible Service. Last Friday I asked if they could link my current storage unit to my existing PS account and they said no. I was at the airport and did not have access to a computer. Then I tell them I will call the 800# instead. So I call that and do not get a live person. You know those where they don't have an option for a live voice (i.e. customer service call center). There was a payment option and so I gave my credit card info. Then they say that my payment for $65 has been accepted, which includes a $10 service FEE. WHAT??? They didn't mention that upfront. Very dishonest. So I reached the actual property to complain and the lady told me she would refund that payment, which she did. She also said that I had until the 5th to pay. So today is the 5th and I went online to create a new account and to pay. They are charging me a $10 late fee!!! I was given false information. Now they won't call me back! So I went ahead and paid and am going up there in person to demand my $10 back. That's crazy. I don't think the people at the local office are dishonest. But they are proving to be unknowledgeable of when a late charge kicks in. You just cannot get any good service these days. I'm done with PS for the rest of my life. read more

We are currently renting two spaces. We have felt well protected using this Public Storage. The staff has been very friendly and helpful with our needs. Other than we feel the rent is a slight bit high, we are very happy with the service and care that we have received. read more
