Wonderful to work with, even through the transition. Clean, secure, no complaints. The guy who checked us out was great to work with.

Easily accessible unit. Secure. No hassle. No real complaints at all. Just a little pricier than I expected once the extras are added in.

Security is tight with 24 hour cameras and desk clerks who ID everyone in a party at the entrance. Be sure to list everyone possible that is allowed access or they will be denied. Marge closed early today during day lights savings time. Which I did not realize it was daylights…read moresavings and that the clocks had changed. I arrived at what I thought was 3pm but it turned out it was 3:58 when I pulled into the parking lot. We rang the bell and there was no answer. Then Marge the thin older woman with short gray hair and glasses told my family member she closed 15 minutes early. She would not let us in and then said she was with a customer and shut the door in my families face. When I went up to speak to her and ask her why she wouldn't let us in I couldn't hear her because she didn't even have the curtesy to open the door. Instead she kept the door closed and kept speaking which was inaudible to me. Then she put four fingers up to which I put up 3. Then I thought I heard her say do you want me to call the police? Then she brought out her phone That showed 4:01. She then proceeded talking to her supposed customer, who I have seen previously picking her up and dropping her off. I left and parked at the corner to decipher what to do after a two hour drive there. I was looking up laundromats nearby when thought to look and see the times posted because I thought they changed them. When I noticed it was 4:30, Marge would not allow me to unload my items which would have taken 15 minutes but she had no problem with the woman dropping her off and picking her up being there until 4:30 and after. I parked in the parking lot to call the owner and speak to her about the way I was treated and ended up leaving a message. As I was passing down towards the laundromat a police car headed down towards the storage facility. Marge indeed called the police on me for trying to go to my storage while being ethnic and dark skinned. Paying $120 dollars in cash the day prior. Adding to my payment thus far of $5000 almost for the last three almost four years. This woman pulled a epic racist card and called the police on me. So after having been at my storage about five times in three almost four years and almost $5000 dollars this is how I was treated by Marge. I would love a response from the owner on how my money is good enough to take but my presence in their parking lot while using my gps isn't. I've never had an issue at this storage place and I was absolutely stunned and disgusted by this woman's behavior. Which was uncalled for racist and ignorant.

PLEASE, PLEASE pay attention to this. MakeSpace IS A SCAM…read more After being told my movers would arrive between 8-11am I received a text message at 10:50 from the moving team saying, "we'll be there in 20-30 depending on traffic". 50 minutes later, nothing. I so texted them and received a message saying, "we're en route". At this point it was 11:45 -- 45 MIN LATE FROM THE LAST POINT OF THE TIME WINDOW. Then about 20-25 minutes later, I received a message from a customer service agent - not the movers who had been texting me - saying there was nowhere to park, so they left. Interesting, because there were places to park, including where I parked my car to ensure there was a designated spot. The customer service rep was very apologetic and said she'd call the team. She called them, and called me back maybe 40 minutes later only to say she couldn't help cause they had nowhere to park. WHO DOES THAT? They could text updates on their arrival, but when they didn't see immediate parking, said nothing. Keep in mind, this was the last day of the month. I was moving from Philadelphia to Boston that day. So I now had to engineer a move to Boston the same day (now at about 1:30pm). Needless to say, no moving company could help. I looked at a previous Uhaul quote I'd gotten when I was considering moving myself -- the truck rental would have been $450. Uhaul, Ryder, and Budget all had no trucks within 150mi. of Philadelphia on the day of the move. Penske did -- so I drove 45 minutes to pick it up, paying $1200 for the rental. Of course, I was moving from a 3rd floor walk up apartment, which was too much to move myself with the time crunch. I was forced to hire people off TaskRabbit since no actual movers could accommodate the same day scheduling. Like the truck, I paid a significant premium for same day help. The two gents, who were far from professional movers, with me, were able to get my stuff in the truck in 3 hours. All in, I paid $600 for those two helpers. Worst of all, I went back and looked at the quotes I'd gotten for a full-service move from Philly to Boston (all in the $1,400-1,700 range). Instead, I ended up paying just over $2k, because MakeSpace is a SCAM. Maybe a bad outing, you say? Just bad luck? I thought so, too. Don't get me wrong, under no circumstances would an experience this bad be allowable, but then I met my friend's new girlfriend -- who HAD THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE. As did her friend, who moved the same week she had from NYC to Philly. They often DO NOT SHOW, do not call, and leave you to figure it out. I paid just over $2,000 to move myself! Not leaving Philly until 9pm and arriving in Boston to my new apartment at 3am. Thankfully I was able to get out the same day and avoid having to deal with my old apartment and property manager to pay additional rent. All-in-all, the worst experience ever. Whatever you do, do not risk it by using this "company".
