My husband called and was able to get the price down just a tiny bit which we appreciated- def not at the price we came in at a couple months prior but better than the increase. Now we are dealing with a whole mice problem. Mice are coming in from the ceiling and crapping on all our things and tearing up our stuff. Another renter of the space a few down from us mentioned they are having issues with mice too. The mice and any other rodents are able to go from unit to unit bc of the openings and holes in the ceiling. We have no food in our unit but we don't know what the other units have in our row. There is No plan to fix the holes just have someone spray in a couple weeks. We had to spend $100 trying to buy our own stuff to rectify the problem and 7 hrs of time taking all our belongings out and cleaning up the droppings and going through all our things that were ruined, and trying to tape up the holes in the ceiling ourselves. We weren't offered any discount on the unit for the inconvenience this month or anything due to a problem of this nature which would have been appropriate until it is mice free at the very least. I'm not saying all the units are this way but we are certainly having this issue and are not the only ones. We've never had an outdoor unit before and so far we are not a fan. The only great thing is the size of our unit and how easily accessible our belongings are in this unit and we've had overall pleasant interactions with staff overall. We aren't asking for much-just to have a pest free location. We've included some pics below but we have many more unfortunately.

    This was about as piss poor experience as one could have…read more 1) Upon the initial renting of my space, I specifically inquired about and requested to add my dad as my authorized user. Months later when I needed him to have access, I was told he hadn't been added as my authorized user but instead, my emergency contact. 2) I went into the office to add my dad as my authorized user and setup a transfer. I was previously told that if I transferred, it would only be $1.00. While in the office, I explained to Nyisha that I wouldn't be there and needed that my dad would be transferring my items. She seemed a bit resistant to assisting us but warmed up after a few. When my dad returned the next day to move my stuff, he was told he couldn't take possession as there were forms I needed to complete. When I called Ms. Nyisha to inquire about this, I was then told I had to complete the transfer forms in person. In the entire 30 minutes I was there the day before, why on earth would she not have told me about the transfer form??:???? Per Ms. Nyisha, she didn't know I wouldn't be there, she just thought my dad was moving me. IF I WAS GOING TO BE THERE, WHY WOULD I GO THROUGH THE TROUBLE TO ENSURE HE WOULD HAVE FULL ACCESS THE NEXT DAY TO MOVE MY STUFF???????? 3) I then had to rent a new storage and was charged the full fee of $105 not the discounted transfer fee. When they say follow your first mind do so, I was taking my stuff out of there altogether but decided to just transfer because of the transfer discount. 4) Because Ms. Nyisha didn't do her job and then was MIA, I was charged more by the mover for the extended time he was there.

    On January 18, 2026, my father rented a U-Haul truck from the U-Haul location at 9416 Hwy 5,…read moreDouglasville, GA 30135. Within less than two miles of pickup, the truck completely shut off while driving and left us stranded in the middle of an active traffic lane with an senior citizen who has a serious illness and a minor child in the vehicle. We were forced to physically push the truck out of traffic while repeatedly calling U-Haul for help. Multiple tow companies were dispatched and then canceled, leaving us stranded in unsafe traffic conditions for nearly five hours. Eventually, police stopped and arranged for the vehicle to be towed because of the danger. Only after law enforcement became involved did anything move forward. When we returned to the store, the treatment from staff was unacceptable. Store Manager Samantha was dismissive and rude throughout the interaction. Her father, Chris, who stated he was a manager from another location and was brought in to "resolve" the situation, was combative, raised his voice, waved his hands in an intimidating manner, and created a hostile environment. At one point, he was also vaping inside the store. This behavior was completely unprofessional and inappropriate. Despite the breakdown being clearly caused by equipment failure, we were forced to pay again for another one-way rental late in the day just to finish our move, which ended after dark. During the transfer of our belongings between trucks, a Peloton exercise bike was damaged while being handled by U-Haul staff. We have video documentation showing the item intact immediately after towing and damaged after staff handled the transfer. When we attempted to escalate the matter, a manager later stated that because legal action was mentioned, they would no longer communicate with us and disconnected the call. This entire experience placed lives at risk, caused unnecessary emotional distress, damaged our property, and demonstrated a serious lack of accountability and professionalism. This location failed at every level: vehicle safety, roadside support, customer care, and ethical conduct. I strongly caution anyone considering renting from this location.
