I needed a storage unit for a few months for some garage kept items, like a snowblower, a pair of…read moretires, a few empty coolers etc. I got a mailer at home with all the wonderful features included: a reasonable monthly fee, no long term contract, video surveillance, free move-in truck, month to month. The place is spotless and new. Front desk personal were helpful, gave me the tour and quoted me a monthly price. As I'm about to sign, they tell me that my first payment is due now and its about 3 times the monthly price. SCREECH to a halt. Pro-rated rest of this month, second month, service fee. What about the free-month? That's the third month. What? Where does it say that? Nowhere exactly, but that's included deep in the "some restrictions may apply" language around page 17 on the the little credit card pad. I say, "Never Mind". They say, "What?" Yup, cancel it. Call it off. They offer to give me second month free. I repeat, they offer it. I agree, so now we're down to pro-rated one month and next month free, plus service fee. I put my stuff on a cart, take it up the elevator, load. Low and behold, I get an e-mail survey and respond that I think their "one month free" deal is deceptive. I get a personal call from a director level person who advises me that I'm not welcome. After my "free month", come get your stuff. I call to come get my stuff and they inform me that access by drive-in is limited to certain hours on Saturday and that elevator is not useable. (This is a brand new facility) They don't actually say this, they say something like, "Foot Traffic Only", which I asked them to clarify. So, I said, I have to bring my snowblower down three flights of stairs? They got mad when I said I'd put it on one of their carts and push it down the three flights unattended. It will be much easier to roll the tires down. I hung up on them. Going to get my stuff a week early. I can safely say that their biggest selling point is "We won't raise your prices every 3 months like Public Storage". PS: I wonder how many patrons fell down on their super slick drive-in coating. Maybe that's what they're repairing. I don't know.

so we have multiple units in this facility since October of 24. over the last couple months we have…read morenoticed only one elevator working, which has made moving stuff especially tuff especially with others there to do the same thing a pain staking process. well last night was the worse case scenario. arrived with a truckload of stuff around 7pm. entered the required code and selected the elevator. nothing happened! the door's unlocked but no elevator. tried calling which leads to the automated nightmare of not being able to talk to a person. ended up humping a truckload of stuff up 3 flights of stairs and then having to walk across the entire unit to get the truck unloaded. Called today to inquire about the elevator and was told they have not eta on when the elevators will be back in service! No idea when the elevator repair service was called and no idea on how we or anyone that has a unit on the second or third floor would be able to aces their units other than using the stairs. This has to be the worse customer service oriented facility or business I've ever interacted with. So at this point they are holding our items hostage with no way of accessing it. No idea when we will be able to get to our stuff or unload items from our house during a move. How do you thing it would go if my payments were made in the manner they are running their business? Almost all of our furniture is destroyed - thousands of dollars in damage - but even more troubling is Steve's nonchalant dismissal of our concerns. Despite seeing the same pictures attached to this review, Steve defended his team's work - calling it "standard" - and offered an insulting $500 to compensate for the damage. Steve will respond to this review with the same out-of-touch canned response about not purchasing additional insurance, as if that gives his company some sort of license to be careless and negligent with other people's property.
