Connor took the time to explain the features of the facility, and patiently answered all my questions while giving me a tour showing me several units and sizes available making the entire process seamless. His friendly demeanor and professionalism set a wonderful tone from the start. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained. There was a unit available to accommodate my needs, and with the security measures in place I felt comfortable in renting from them. Although I didn't have the need they also rent U-Haul trucks. Clearly Public Storage in Calabasas is not sufficiently motivated to keep their occupant's business. In less than 2 years, our unit went from $363 per month to $762 per month with notification of yet another increase coming. Needless to say, we vacated and found a facility with more transparency and reasonable terms. If you plan to move into Public Storage in Calabasas, be aware, this is not suitable for long term storage for most occupants.

I returned a cart I borrowed, but the lobby door was locked and no one answered after knocking multiple times. I went to the main entrance--still no staff in sight. This went on for about 15 minutes. When an employee (Black male with long dreadlocks) finally opened the door, he was rude and told me to use the main entrance next time--with attitude. We had a small storage locker here for several years and they continue raising the rent each year…read moreto the point that it became ridiculous! They want $70 per month for a 3X3x4 locker! I found a slightly larger locker at Public Storage, just around the corner, for $15 per month. Granted that is an introductory rate, but even if they double it after the introductory period, we will be at $30, which is still less than half price! On top of that, they never answer their phones for existing customers. I had to call as a new customer to finally get ahold of them. Bad service bad pricing! I don't recommend them!

There are plenty of other storage places where you would be working with decent management and people who will not try to overcharge you. They have also told me I am no longer allowed to rent a unit online, as the accounts clearly offer with a large button that says "add a new unit" and has the prices listed for each unit. So they charge random fees because they want to and do a bait and switch for units they offer online. Not to mention the raising prices every 6-12 months.
