Where do I begin? I've been going through some personal issues with a divorce on the way and an…read moreillness that my soon to be ex-wife has. In addition to that, I travel oversees for work all the time and for the sake of time zones and such it's difficult to get a hold of me over the phone. I understand I have an obligation to pay my bill. I always catch up and pay my bill. I no longer live in NJ and the person who was supposed to pay for the unit is ill at the moment. I take care of my expenses where I live and her expenses as well including medical until the divorce is settled. I kindly asked to allow me to catch up in a week as I've been overburdened and not even present in country in most weeks of the month. This was their response: The account is 34 days past due. There is a balance owed of $265.78. Please note that there is only one day left to make a full payment. The account will be going into foreclosure as of 06/17/2019. And a $110.00 lien fee will be added. That would bring your amount to $ 375.78. Please don't make it to 35 days. I can make a note into your account stating that you will be making a payment on 06/21/2019. But, the balance of $375.78 must be made in full. Please note we no longer accept partial payments. All payments must be made in full. Well.. I believe a little room for flexibility would have helped my situation as I have every intention of paying this debt and maybe even use the unit until the divorce is settled. Now, Cubesmart's management's lack of empathy made me want to end business with them and write as many reviews as possible for the gross display coldness towards someone who is having a hardship. The only resin I I'm giving a 2 star instead of 1 star is because of a manager Mamés Shirley. She's awesome and very kind.

I was able to make payments online with no problem . Their online system hasn't worked in over 6-7 months . I once had to call them directly and give my credit card info to someone over the phone . They have an automated service that repeats wrong credit card info and I have to try over and over to make a payment . The automated service has a lag. RIDICULOUS! The owner increased the storage price , no problem , BUT GET THE ONLINE PAYMENT BACK AND RUNNING! I never missed a payment , but this is so inconvenient. ***** MY #1 ISSUE RIGHT NOW IS THE TERRIBLY STRONG SPICE SMELL ALL OVER THE LOBBY . I called 3x to have them give the owner my complaint . Spray the lobby or do something .THE SMELL IS UNBEARABLE ! I recently went to take out jackets and other clothing items . They STINK like the spice smell in the lobby . Everything I take out my unit REAKS of the smell . I haven't taken out my stuff because I have over 4 years of stuff in it . I have 2 jobs and no time to go and clear it. IM SO UPSET that my request about the smell and the payment gets dismissed . Even the employee said talking to owner was talking to the wall . I DONT RECOMMEND THIS STORAGE UNIT TO ANYONE ! I'm going to make a payment today hopefully my last payment , but I'm trying to see what day I can go to clear up my unit . STAY AWAY!
